Boo! I had tons of eggs too! And I bought a ton of frozen sausage patties. And avocados, cheese... If I was going to work I just eat these all separately. If I was home I usually have it in omelet form.

@autumnlove: I'm sorry . I have my one hour glucose screen Monday. No real advice, other than protein.

I usually started with a crust less/flour less quiche with spinach and cheese, sometimes a meat in there or zucchini or broccoli instead of spinach. When I was tired of eggs, I'd make a egg white oatmeal protein pancake, omitting the sugar, and adding walnuts and a touch of maple syrup on top. If I put too much syrup on, I was out of range with my levels.

Oh noooo
Can you do eggs, avocado, and a turkey sausage of some kind? That kind of stuff always kept me full for awhile when I wasn't pregnant

My go to GD breakfast was a sunny side up egg, small serving of steel cut oats, two slices of bacon or breakfast sausage, half an avocado, and a slice of cheese. Once I take my after breakfast score an hour later I drink a cup of milk.

I just wound up having half an English muffin that I ate on the drive into work.

Bacon and scrambled eggs! Or a large spoon of Greek yoghurt with some nuts and seeds sprinkled in.

Oh and I can usually eat 1-2 slices of the lowest carb wheat bread I can find and slather on the PB!

I'm pretty resistant in the morning. Oatmeal is out, 100%. Half a whole grain English muffin w/PB. Cottage cheese with fruit is good for me at anytime. Hmmm......I'm not a big breakfast person to start with, so coming up with ideas and forcing myself to eat has been the pits! Sorry you're here again.

@Happygal: Ya, oatmeal was out for me last time!

@autumnlove: I kept reducing the amount, hoping to find I could tolerate it at a certain level. I like having something hot in the AM. No dice, but you can't say I didn't try!

I ate an egg mcmuffin and hashbrowns pretty much every single day. Potatoes didn't give a huge hit to my numbers until the end. I couldn't eat cereal or any kind of oatmeal without feeling really awful.

Bagel thin with cream cheese or peanut butter, applesauce cup and turkey sausage.

Oh no I have a feeling I'll be joining you.
I ate lots of English muffins with peanut butter. Also, eggs. Lots of eggs.

Eggs scrambled with seasoned turkey meat (taco seasoning. I'll usually cook it in advance or it will be leftovers from tacos the night before) and veggies, like onions, green peppers, and tomatoes. Topped with a little cheese and avocado.

Btw, I dealt with this twice as well. The second time wasn't awful as I was already aware of what worked for me. Good luck.

I used to make a batch of egg muffins with spinach, cheese, and bacon. I'd eat one with a wheat English muffin. It did get old after a while!

@Happygal: oh Ya, I was down to less than 1/4 cup so it was just a tease.
@MamaG: Boo for our multiple GD pregnancies! I was bummed last night but I am over being sad. It was manageable last time so I hope it is the same this time!
@Rainbow Sprinkles: sounds yummy! Seasoning?!? Your MIL would not approve!
@lilteacherbee: FX!

Bummers about round 2 of GD!!
GD is tough.
Man I was totally not a breakfest person. Give me a cup of tea and I was good to go till lunch.
That being said... my go to breakfest was a slice of ham (thick cut from Costco) and half a medium size tortilla. I would nuke the tortilla for 5-10 seconds... put my ham in it and rolled up and stuffed it in my mouth and was on my way. Sometimes I added some kind of cheese or used turkey to switch it up.
I thought I would get bored of it... but nope... still eat this basically everyday. I have had GD since week 12 and now I'm week 36.

I have been on my GD diet for two weeks now and it's going well. I have been eating the 100 calorie yoplait or chobani Greek yogurts (about 15g carbs) with a 1/4 raw oats from TJs stirred in. Sometimes a mandrin Orange. I also make breakfast cassorole which I did prior to GD and eat off that for a couple days. Use a 9x9 baking dish cover the bottom with shredded potatos (I get the refrigerated simply potatos SW style and use 1/3 to 1/2 of the bag) top with 1/2-1 whole roll of sage sausage cooked, top with 2 cups cheese scramble 4 eggs with a bit of milk and salt and pepper and pour over the top. Bake covered at 350 for about 40 minutes. A few minutes uncovered after if needed. It's so good. You can double it and do a 9x13 and cook a little longer. I make them on Sundays for football then we have breakfast leftovers for a couple days.

I think the hardest part for me is eating 170g of carbs while controlling my sugars, it's such a balance, so when something works I take note and stick to it. I also usually shovel down about 1/2 cup cottage cheese after each meal, it's really good with a little sea salt and fresh ground pepper. It helps balance the carbs.
