With DD EVERYTHING made me sick. Smells of almost all foods, even commercials and pictures of food sent me running to hurl. The word hotdog became one no one was allowed to say around me because even hearing it made me sick. This time around, I've been much sicker, yet not as affected by smells, although any cooking meat got me for a while.

I've been pretty lucky, but a couple times there have been smokers or people with BO near me on the bus and it's been awful. Usually, it would just be unpleasant but it's like the ugh factor is magnified now. Also, I always have a problem with the artificial scents in shampoo, soaps, laundry detergent, etc. Because of that, I have always used unscented or minimally scanted products but now my darling DH has decided he needs his clothes to smell "clean" and is doing his own laundry in Tide. Retch. It just smells like a big old ball of nasty chemicals to me, and again, is ten times worse now than it usually would be.

Raw meat. I absolutely could not stand to walk through the butcher counter at the grocery store.

DH's deodorant (I made him switch) and the smell of bar soap. Ugh!

@MaisyMay: ugh, reminds me of being at the grocery store on Friday. I avoided the meat areas completely, but I felt like I had to keep dodging the people who hand out food samples. It smelled so strong, I had my shirt pulled up over my nose- yeah, I was that weirdo dashing through the grocery store before I threw up!

@lemondrop: Safeway set me off one day to the point that I told DH either we leave or I find somewhere to throw up. It's amazing how much better you feel after!

Scotch. My housemate is a major scotch drinker (actually planning an intervention for him as my husband and I are worried he's an alcoholic - another story altogether!!) But when he's been hitting it hard his breath, and his sweat (UUUGH) and basically everything about him just reeks of alcohol and its the only thing that's got me even close to being sick. Most of the time I won't even feel nauseous, but if he walks in after his customary 6 scotch and soda's, I'm done.
