I never had a problem with smells on my first pregnancy, but I'm super sensitive this time. Right now, DH is painting the entryway and I swear it smells like rotting fish. I'm hiding in my bedroom so I stop gagging from it.

It's worse for me this time around, too. Dog food, cat food, DH's feet (lol), most meat.

Husband's cologne! He had to stop wearing it all-together. I remember it was like 2m postpart, he started wearing it again and I was like, "mmmm, baby you smell good!" And he looked at me with confusion.

Coffee... It was awful. I could not be near a person who was drinking or just drank coffee. I made me feel so sick!

Ugh bacon, eggs, and pretty much any raw or cooking meat (or cooked meat for that matter. I had a major meat aversion). The first time DH suspected I was pregnant was after the smell of bacon frying made me throw up.

In first tri, it was the worst--coffee, chicken and the gross microwave at work. I avoided the break room!
ETA, I also had to forgo all my good smelling Bath and Body Works shower gels because they were too strong for me!

Pizza, pasta sauce, Chinese food, basically anything anyone microwaved in the break room at work. I remember crying my eyes out one day because DH brought home a Papa John's sausage pizza and it smelled up our whole house.

The absolute worst was this chimichurri sandwich spread my in laws had over Christmas. I swear I could smell it throughout the whole house!
Also bad breath really killed me.

Refrigerator smell. Oh god, the refrigerator smell. I took all the food out of my fridge for the first 3 months.

Eggs for sure. That smell gets me so bad.
Also the smell of things too floral - my shampoo and conditioner (I have to wear my hair back so I don't smell it), my husband's shampoo. We might need to replace them with something more mild.

Oh I didn't know you are pregnant - congrats!!!!!
I had a heightened sense of smell when I was in my first trimester, I remember I almost puked when we went to a japanese restaurant and sat at the sushi bar!

With G is was teriyaki, smoke (which his dad did do), and gasoline.
With P I had none, but had major sound aversions!!! Hearing DH bite his nails (which I could hear from across a large room) would make me sick to my stomach!
This time, neither!

Any type of air freshener. Made me gag every single time, and often caused me to vomit as well. It was bad!!

The smell of my dog drove me crazy. Had to bathe her constantly.

Nothing ever made me puke but I hated the smell of morning smog. Especially when it was foggy out. Also the site of blood made me gag once & the a sound of my client blowing her nose was horrible! I had to leave the room.

Ugh what didn't smell didn't induce gagging and throwing up is the question for me. I was super sensitive. Even driving on the way to work, the farm smells got me every time. Also coffee, rice cooking, chicken, potstickers, broth.. Just to name a few.

Everything this week! I've been craving stuffed pasta shells this week and unfortunately the smell of them cooking set me off All meats cooking, but especially bacon. Eggs are bad too- I told my husband one of our favorite breakfast places is off limits for now because it smells like eggs and bacon. My son had leftover fancy mac & cheese yesterday, and I could smell it on his breath for the rest of the night. Poopy diapers and cat food are the death of me in the mornings.

@lemondrop: LOL that's what I'm hoping! But mom said that she was this way when she was pregnant with me, so I'm not holding too much hope. We'll find out soon enough

bell peppers, tomatoes, raw chicken, cooking beef, bad breath, garlic, baby poop, morning diapers (12 hours worth of pee... ugh!) and the worst... when i'm hungry, the smell of ANY FOOD makes me gag uncontrollably

Bacon, hamburger meat cooking, and cooking grease I can't stand the smell of grease but after about five minutes the smell dies down and I'm ok
