my shower didn't have a theme & I haven't been to one that's had a theme, either. we don't know the sex of our baby, so my gfs just decorated in the same colours the nursery is going to be. my gfs who've had babies; we've just done their showers with "boy" or "girl", but nothing specific, like butterflies or baseballs or anything like that. I think as long as things coordinate it'll be super cute

@artbee: omg, I love baseball- I would have loved it at a stadium (or my wedding, or pretty much anything!)

Mine was themed travel, the colors were various shades of blues and greens. We went to Ohio (where my husband's family is from) for a family wedding, and the bride thought having a shower brunch the next day was a great idea (and the reason why she is one of my favorite cousins and one of my bridesmaids).

Since it was the travel theme, my MIL and SIL (who threw the shower) got us the car seat and an aunt got us our Jeep stroller- it turned out really nice! Also instead of cards we got signed books, a lot of them were car or travel theme too!

Rubber duckies, We were Team Green so it fit us well.

My theme is a surprise! No idea, but will find out in about 5 weeks : )

@anbanan15, @artbee: So, my Mom suggested a tea party theme. While I think that tea parties can be fun...all I could think was yeah, I'm going to be 36 weeks pregnant at the time of my shower. I'm really going to want to dress up in a dress, hats, scarves, etc and play tea party! I told my friends that they could ignore my Mom's request for a tea party, I'll make sure she gets her fix after her granddaughter gets here.

i didn't really have a "theme" for my shower. but i did have 2 of most things. like 2 diaper cakes, etc. etc.

I think my shower theme will be the same theme as our nursery (giraffes).
