We attended our birthing class on Saturday and the teacher suggested packing our bag now to be prepared, we are 30 weeks. This seems early! She said better safe than sorry, thoughts? I will be buying stuff just for hospital (travel toiletries, new robe, socks, ect) so I guess we will have everything!

I started packing mine at around 30 weeks too.. :T I just wanted to get a head start and not have to scramble for things if I went into labor early.

Packed the basics at week 36. Packed my non essentials the day I was induced at week 41!

I'm 35 weeks and have the basic stuff packed, I need to repack it into a bigger suitcase though...my little duffel bag is too small. Someone suggested to me to load it in my car by 36 weeks "just in case," but that freaks me out!

I did it at 36 weeks. Doesn't hurt to do it early!

I half-packed it yesterday (38wks). It won't be fully packed until we're ready to go...things like toothbrushes and chargers and such aren't going in yet.

We packed it 2 weeks before but I felt it was kinda late. I'd opt for 5 weeks to be safe.

I'm going out this week to buy underwear,slippers,robe and pjs for hospital...I'm getting toiletries too. So I'll pack next week once everything is bought and I'll be a few days over 30w. I don't think it's too early because I think I'll forget so many things and I'll randomly remember them over the next 10weeks. Like a pp said: chargers, toothbrushes and laptops won't be packed until last minute

i would pack your bag early! i was going to wait until 2 weeks before but ended up delivering early. packed my bag before heading to the hospital. forgot a lot of stuff and made DH go back home to get more stuff.

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow, and only just packed it yesterday! DH had been bugging me to do it for weeks and weeks.

I packed very slowly, dropping stuff into my bags as I thought of them. I had a labor bag and a recovery bag so I want walking in with all of my gear.

Pack early if you can, you just never know! I delivered early at 36 1/2 weeks...my water broke and I packed right before heading to the hospital which was stressful.

I threw some undies for both of us in it at 37 weeks. Then rest we packed when I went into labor.

I think I started around 37 weeks and it is mostly finished now (39 weeks) but there are still things I need to pack once we are really in labor. I had a list of things made around 35 weeks though, just in case.

Thanks everyone, it seems like I'm not crazy to start this early. My hospital suggests a labor bag and a post opp bag, as well as a seperate one for baby. However I will probably combined Baby in with ours, since we don't need much for her. Going home outfit/baby book pages, blanket, and we are good!

I packed mine early too because you just never know. I started packing mine in the 2nd trimester but added things to it over time. And once I got past 36 weeks I put it n the trunk of my car. That ended up being a lifesaver when I was unexpectedly kept in the hotel during a routine checkup

Don't remember when I packed mine with DD but most likely around 36w mark which is when we went for our child birth class/hospital tour (bad weather kept cancelling them). This time I will probably pack it a little sooner (currently 33w) because I know what I used and didn't use the last time, plus I don't have any trips planned that would need the travel toiletries.

36 weeks. I figure if the baby comes before that I'll have bigger fish to fry than worrying about my fave sweatpants.
