So I was pulling on my maternity pants this morning when they split from the waistband all the way down the leg past the knee.
Depressing on more than one front - I now feel totally huge and I have one less pair of maternity pants in my already small collection.

They must have been very cheaply made. Only explanation for that happening!

I was huge when I was pregnant. Absolutely massive. And I felt terrible. We live in such a messed up culture and we stigmatize "fat" so much that gaining weight when I was pregnant made me feel horrible. But the thing is, I was building a baby and you gain weight for a reason.
You're doing a great job building your baby. The maternity pants were probably just badly made. I know the ones I wore were.
(and if it helps, I lost 25 lbs the first week pp and a year later I weigh less than I did when I first got pregnant)

That is absolutely because they were poorly, cheaply made! However, I'm sure that really doesn't feel good anyway. I'm still fairly early (19 weeks) and I go back and forth between marveling at what my body is doing and how it's changing for this baby, and feeling like I'm getting too big too fast and that I'm just getting fat. Yay hormones and body issues...

Poorly made pants! You should bring them back to the store for a refund. But I know how you feel. I'm feeling huge and we still have a few months to go!

Most of the time I am loving my pregnant body, but that was a bit off putting.
I ordered them online so I emailed customer service to see if I can return them. They best give me my money back. I still have three months to go and now only two pair of work pants!

Aw, hugs. I've ripped two pairs of jeans in the waistband from them being poorly made; what's with maternity jeans being crappy? I've had to order some online and am still waiting on them; been living in dresses. On the preggo body front... I had someone tell me today that I was 'carrying the baby in my hips,' which made me feel all sorts of awesome 
Suuuucks. At least we have HB to tell us we are awesome and pretty lol

Maternity clothes are really crappy quality usually! I know you don't wear them forever, but still!

They're such crappy quality! My jeans are getting holes in them and I only wore them for about 5 months! My non-maternity jeans have lasted YEARS!

Yeah, luckily I get this quality from my mom that I will not just throw something out. If I spent my hard earned money on it, I am getting my money back!
