I just gave away a bunch of my son's clothes to my friends and they were all so grateful, except one! She didn't seem all that enthusiastic about receiving some of my son's used clothes. Most of them were never even worn (just washed) and I told her that, but she just smiled and said "thanks". I told her that if she didn't want them, I knew someone who did (in a nice way of course) but she said she'll go through the stack and see what she wants to keep.
I hope I didn't offend her by offering her used clothes? I never really thought about it until my DH mentioned that I may have offended her? I received tons of used baby clothes for my daughter (unsolicited) and I was so grateful! But I guess some people don't feel comfortable with it? Or maybe she thought of it as "charity" (although I certainly didn't mean for it to be that way)!
