    Well, today was like Christmas. No baby yet (though we are both kinda expecting her next week). But I got the job I interviewed for and will be moving this summer. And got the first box of my registry completion which was bottles and diaper covers. We are officially ready for the baby now.

    @Mrs. Sunshine: I'm not change my shirt sweaty, but definitely sweater than normal during the day... At night, that's another story!

    @brownie: Congratulations! That's awesome you got the job and you get to celebrate with a box of goodies

    @loki: so exciting! Can't wait to hear how it all goes! I'm not familiar with inductions.. Is that a drug they use to get things going?

    @brownie: congrats! So happy for you!!!

    I've had some intense Braxton Hicks contractions today despite having about 80 ounces of water already. I'm having a good amount of cramping in my lower right side as well not sure if that's labor pain related or just body being ready for baby related! Spent mist of the day in bed and DH & I are about to order in pizza and watch a movie in bed!

    @Marionberry: I hope your BP comes down and you are able to go home soon with your adorable new LOs!

    @Jenn23: Sorry to hear that things have been rough for you. I hope the next little bit is uneventful, and your little girl arrives soon.

    @Loki: So excited that you get to see your little girl so soon! Good luck!

    @SunshineMcC: I've been having lots of cramps today, too. They alternate between my lower left side and low near my cervix. Baby was kicking like mad all evening, too. I haven't had any contractions today, though.

    @Brownie: Congrats! Sounds like you had a great day!

    @Neekierose: Glad you made it to your due date. I hope baby Ryan comes in the next couple of days.

    @SunshineMcC: the nurse explained cervidil as a tiny tampon like thing they place... In 40% of cases it'll induce labour on it's own but it's main purpose is to dilate me so they are able to break my water. So cervidil goes in for 12 hours, then they break my water then administer pitocon if need be. Could be a long process! I've barely slept because I'm so anxious...

    @loki: congrats on your upcoming induction! Are you so excited? Try to take in everything. It all goes by so fast and it's such a cool experience.
    @brownie: congrats on the new job! Lots of great things in store for you in the future.

    AFM, we got discharged yesterday around noon and have been slowly adjusting to life with babies and an 18mo. My husband is not managing three kids well but I hope that ends soon. My BP seems to be getting better slowly but I have an appt Monday to check on it. Oh and advice for second time moms - I don't think adding another to the mix is much harder..and I added two.

    @marionberry: that's great!! I'm glad yall got to go home and you have no idea how much I needed to hear that. The closer the time gets for Sydney to be here, the more nervous I get!

    @loki: ah, gotcha! Good luck! Will be thinking of you and checking the boards furiously for news!!! So excited you finally get to meet this amazing baby girl!!! Hugs!

    @marionberry: welcome home! So happy to hear you were discharged euth the twins! Hopefully your DH will come around, and soon! I hope your BP continues to lower - do they have any ideas why it's still higher than they like? As you're up for it, continue to post pics of those beautiful boys!!! XO

    @marionberry: that's great that you all are home and doing well! And that it isn't too much of a transition. That's what I'm hoping for!

    @Mrs. Sunshine: @NeekieRose: I was very nervous but I forgot how much easier babies are than toddlers. The hardest parts are with my toddlers, not the twins.
    @SunshineMcC: They never said a word about why it might still be high. Usually pre-e goes away after birth. They prescribed me a medication to help lower the rate but I've only taken one pill so far so I don't know its effectiveness yet. Per request, here are two photos from today.

    @loki: @neekierose: so close ladies! I hope you sleep well the next 1-2 nights. I can't believe tomorrow was supposed to be my c-section date.

    Hey guys, at the hospital and can't sleep. Cervidil was inserted at 9pm then i had to be monitored for two hours before could switch to our private room. It's definitely causing some crampiness but not like I expected. I feel like it's contractions because they come in waves kind of like a crescendo and are accompanied by my belly seizing up. Trying to sleep in between them but time is crawling. Hopefully things get moving quickly in the morning.

    @marionberry: such adorable little boys!

    @loki: good luck! Hope you were able to get some sleep and things are progressing.

    Still no baby here. 28 hours until c-section so looks like that is the most likely scenario.

    Is anyone else dreaming of setting their maternity clothes on fire? Oh my God, I am SO over wearing the same old stuff over and over and over again. Of course, I will probably still be wearing some of it postpartum, but I can dream, right?

    @marionberry: Your babies are so beautiful! Congratulations! I have been thinking all along that surely the newborn is easier than THE TODDLER (Dun Dun Dun!!!!). Lol. And if you have 2 newborns and THE TODDLER is still the scary one, then I'm really looking forward to the newborn days again:) Bc THE TODDLER will be in summer camp FT M-F.

    I am technically a May mama but have a 4/27 induction date for LO2 so I was peeking in here to see if any babies have come yet:) To see what it "feels" like. It makes me just want to get her out of there and meet her already!

    @loki: I hope everything is going well and you have baby girl in your arms... Or at least will soon!

    @NeekieRose: good luck tomorrow!

    @meredithNYC: DH was laughing at me as I admired clothes this past weekend. I have grown out of so many things at this point so I feel like I wear the same things over and over.

  27. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

    @meredithNYC: by the end I maybe had 4 outfits I could wear. It was horrible. I look forward to days of new clothes! I probably look about 6-7 months pregnant still.
    @PrincessBaby: Yes our toddler goes to daycare FT and it's heaven! I love the time when it's just me and the babies. You forget how much easier they are when they can't crawl, walk or run.
    @loki: Hoping you have your lo in your arms and are being spoiled by friends and family. Post pics when you can please.

    @meredithNYC: So I'm not sure if this is my last pregnancy so I was actually thinking about "what should I wear, this could be the last time I ever wear this"...ha

    @marionberry: Reagan will not be going to daycare during maternity leave and that is definitely what I am most concerned about. I am also looking forward to having time with her, but pretty sure she will be bored with me.

    hi everyone. nothing too exciting here yet. Luckily the cervidil worked and I was 2cm this morning so they broke my water at about 10. About an hour later I got the pitocin in and contractions started to ramp up again. Due to the doctors schedule I could either get the epidural pretty much right away or wait hours.. So I got it. I had no idea how amazing it would be!!! It didn't hurt at all... I can still completely move but I can't feel contractions at all!!! It is heaven. I haven't been this comfortable in months. So I've been dozing all afternoon just waiting for things to pick up. Supposed to be getting a cervical check relatively soon to see how my progress is. No baby yet but hopefully in the next few hours???

    @loki: SO good to hear the epidural worked for you! Hoping you can relax and things speed along. Good luck!!

    @marionberry: How are you adjusting to two new babies? They are SO cute!!

    @NeekieRose: Good luck!!

    @marionberry: Omg that is EXACTLY what I've been thinking when people ask me if I'm ready, etc! I keep saying "I'm pretty excited about having a child that cannot move or go anywhere - or do things like jump off of barstools while I watch in horror!" And literally every single person is like "You are going to have a rude awakening bc 2 kids is triple the work!" It makes me think I'm underestimating things, but I'm so happy to hear you weigh in since you have 2 newborns and it apparently still doesn't touch the stress of keeping a toddler alive, safe, and momentarily happy:) Thank you!!!

    @loki: Good luck! I can't wait to be in your shoes!!! That is a great sign that the Cervadil worked some, I bet you'll go fast on the Pit:)

    @meredithNYC: oh, heck yes! I'm wearing the same 4 dresses these days and am so over them! I can't wait for cute clothes again - even mine that I can fit into, let alone new ones!

    @loki: thanks for the update - been wondering how you're doing! So glad to hear the epidural was painless and that you're feeling good. Hopefully you get to start pushing soon and meet that sweet little baby girl! I'd love an epidural today - baby is moving like crazy and my back is really hurting - ugh! I'm ready to get going already!!!!

    @neekierose: how are you doing today? Are you getting so excited?!? What time do you head in tomorrow??

  36. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

    @NeekieRose: I also am not sure whether we're done after two, but I hope it's a while before I'm pregnant again! Like, probably at least a year and a half. I hope not to see these clothes for some time.

    @loki: I hope all is going well! That is awesome that the epidural has helped you so much. I hope by now you are enjoying your sweet baby girl in your arms!

    @NeekieRose: Good luck tomorrow! I am excited to hear about your baby girl!

    @meredithNYC: I stare longingly at the cute new spring and summer clothes that are in stores right now. I keep telling DH "I want to buy it all, but I don't know what my mom body will be like!"

    My 40 week appointment got rescheduled to today at 39w5d. I am still only a fingertip dilated. I have my induction scheduled for Wednesday, 4/8. I will go in next Tuesday evening to start Cervadil and then start the induction Wednesday morning! He could always come beforehand, but I bet I'll make it to my induction. I decided that I am going to take Monday and Tuesday off of work so that I can get everything sorted out before the baby comes. I am SO happy that this is my last week of work for 6-8 weeks. I have Good Friday off so Thursday will hopefully be my last day of work unless he decides to come early.
