@MrsB2012: I just saw the May thread and came here to see if you had posted. So amazing, congrats!! Man this makes me want to start TTC right now but will likely wait til the fall. Hope you're feeling awesome and you have a wonderful pregnancy!

@delight: thank you I wasn't really expecting it to happen this quick. I only had 2 pp cycles and the first one I only had an 8 day luteal phase. I thought for sure I would take a few more cycles to get everything back on track. I'm more nervous this time, my lines aren't that dark ( still negatives on my cheapies!) I also worry about still breast feeding and now providing nutrients for a new baby, but I'm sure it will be all good. That's exciting you guys might try in the summer! Hopefully it all goes well for you

@MrsB2012: First off....holy crap congrats on your news!!! I can't believe one of our August mamas is already on number 2!!
To answer your question, I bought the lillebaby carrier and I LOVE IT! SUCH a difference from the Bjorn. It doesn't put pressure on my shoulders and back so it feels amazing!
@delight: We're thinking about TTC possibly in September. So exciting yet scary to think about!

@MrsB2012: WOW! Congrats! So exciting that one of our August mama's is already baking #2!!!!
I love seeing how all our babies seem to be getting into everything and on the move! I am SO excited to see all our parties! I keep coming across pirate stuff at walmart and target on clearance. hahaha.

@skipper2010: @StbHisMrs: @.twist.: thank you
@skipper2010: isn't it so much better having a good carrier? B lives in her carrier so it was really important for me to have a proper one... especially after my shoulders died in the bjorn. I think I might also try a wrap soon. I don't know if it's something I'll like, but when i get a big belly again it might be difficult to use the carriers I have.
@.twist.: I'm so excited for B's birthday! We're going to do a butterfly garden party. I haven't bought anything for it yet ( except her dress and butterfly wings for all the little girls to wear haha. ) I'm getting the same girl who did our wedding cake to make cupcakes as well. I need to start finding all the supplies. We have no good party stores here though

@MrsB2012: if you want to try a wrap inexpensively, try the Babywearing On a Budget group on Facebook. People are constantly listing used wraps for around $40.
And congrats again!
We are in the midst of a horrible nap regression. Night time sleep is returning to normal, but naps are awful. She's dropped her morning nap mostly-which I'm nOT ready for!
As far as birthday parties go, hers is going to be on the August long weekend before I go back to work. Thinking the Alice in One-derland is a little too ambitious...I might just see what's a reasonable price at the party store.

Its been a while since I posted over here. Every ones lo is just getting so big! Im more of a lurker when it comes to the gold thread pics
As for G his sleep has been total crap as well. It is hit or miss. Last night he sstn but the night before he gave me 1 hour stretch through the entire night! It was awful. We are starting more solids. He actually just got his 5th tooth!! I can't believe it! The thing that made me cry the other day is he took his first steps how is that possible? It was only 3 in a row but the day before that it was 2. He had a love/hate relationship with his baths but now that we took him to the beach he loves it.
We took him to this really cool thing on memorial day where he got to pet a dolphin and feed him. He was intrigued then the dolphon scared him when he started to do tricks but it was really cool. As for his 1st bday we are just going to do a small bbq at the beach nothing fancy (im not very creative) and thats about it hope to try and post more often but only really log on through my phone so it makes me lazy..haha

@MrsB2012: I definitely haven't been going to any special party stores. I found some cute pirate stuff at walmart and target! That's the extent of my party shopping! hahaha I pinned a few cute snack ideas that seem pirate themed, and I'll do that for food. Nothing crazy fancy!
@BabyMats: Love the pic! You live in Hawaii, yea? I'm so jealous.
nectarine / 2466 posts
@redsmarties: thanks, I'll look into that group. B's naps are all over the place too. Somedays she refuses both, some 1 and sometimes she'll take both. Do you still try and put K down for her morning nap?
But Alice in One-derland would be soooooo cute!
@BabyMats: G has always been so advanced! I remember when you put that pic of him up on all 4's at like 4 months old! ( I think that was you haha)
@.twist.: Our Walmart blows. They made it into a supercenter without expanding it so they have like no party stuff anymore
Pirates are going to be so cute!!

@MrsB2012: First, congrats again! Second, butterfly garden party? That's so cute! I think I'm going the same route as RedSmarties and seeing what's reasonable at the party store...or dollar store.
@BabyMats: Walking?!?!? Wha? That's so crazy! The dolphin thing looks so fun. Do you really live in Hawaii? That's the only place on earth I went on vacation where I said that I wanted to stay and live forever and ever.

I've been totally negligent around here again. We've spent 23 days of the last month away from the house for various trips, and so busy. I can't believe how much all your little ones are growing. N is officially into everything. She's still army crawling, but I don't think she'll do a "proper" crawl before she figures out how to walk. Here she is in the Caribbean playing in the sand/ocean for the first time!
I think we're going to do an "Over the Rainbow" theme for her party. Pretty much so I can grab any bright colour item that's on sale and call it cohesive, and she can wear her red glitter shoes.

@BabyMats: OMG!! That is so flipping cool!!!!!
@Sapphiresun: Super cute pic!!

@MrsB2012: Boo to terrible walmarts! That sucks!
@Sapphiresun: So stinkin' cute!!!!! Love the rainbow theme too. That will be adorable!

@Sapphiresun: so cute! How was traveling with her?
@.twist.: I saw your post about flying with L to kelowna ( my neck of the woods! I don't live in kelowna but close!) Have you decided how you're going to do it? We're going to Ottawa next month, I'm nervous traveling! How do you lug the car seats and luggage and baby?!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@MrsB2012: Yea, we are just flying into Kelowna. My folks have a place in Grand Forks.
I am going to check the car seat with our luggage (which I am going to try and get both L's and my luggage all in one suitcase, yikes!) So, hopefully I only have to check a suitcase and carseat. My mom has (so awesomely) picked up a bed, high chair, and umbrella stroller for us. So I don't need to bring any of that. I am buying diapers and wipes and food for him all when we get there (besides a few for our carry on bag). I don't want to pack diapers, just a space waster!
I'm going to use the ergo to carry him through the airport and on the plane.
Oh! And I bought one of these from Target for our carseat:

@MrsB2012: It was good. I would say we just snuck into the perfect age for it. It was right before she started crawling and pulling up often, so she was totally happy to sit nicely on the plane, and didn't have to worry too much about chasing her around a very non-childproof cruise ship cabin. And she was happy to nap in her stroller, rather than being confined to the crib. Definitely an awakening to how much less leisurely vacations will likely be for the next few years at least though!

@Grace: $16.99 and it was HUGE. There is an even bigger one too, for strollers!
nectarine / 2031 posts
@Grace: not walking yet just a few steps here and there. He prefers to crawl mostly but is getting more into cruising around tge house holding onto the walls.
@MrsB2012: he has always been pretty strong physically. Yeah that was him on all 4s I think like 5 months. He is super determined. How are u feeling btw?
@Sapphiresun: super cute picture! Her grin is too adorable! Glad traveling was good with her!
@Alivoo01: it really was. I'm apart of a mom group and she set it up. It was only $20. Plus they showed them sting rays and a couple of sea turtles. I missed the picture of G feeding the dolphin I was so mad!
@.twist.: yeah in Hawaii.. Come visit G and I will be ur personal tour guide! I have one of those bags. . It worked perfect! We gate checked his car seat. So cool of your mom to get all the necessities so u won't have to pack. The ergo did make it easier going through security.
nectarine / 2220 posts
@.twist.: I have those bags, both the stroller and the car seat. They got trashed on our vacation, along with a hole in the sun shade of our car seat and a rip in the fabric on our stroller. But I guess they prevented it from being worse judging by the state of the bag.

@Sapphiresun: So, I know the airlines repair luggage when they break it, do they do anything for strollers/carseats?
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@BabyMats: $20?! That's it?! That's awesome!!!!!!
@Sapphiresun: Goodness gracious! Did the play soccer with your gear or something?! Good grief! Did you complain??? Are they compensating you in any way?
nectarine / 2220 posts
@Grace: @Alivoo01: The airline that we flew with had a policy that strollers are to be checked as regular luggage in its original packaging and count against your baggage allowance. Any other means of transport is at the owner's risk. Same for the car seat. Their policy is that the car seat should be in it's own purchased seat holding the baby. Gate check for a car seat is also at your own risk. And it's on the sun shade, so it was still folded up when we arrived at midnight. I didn't notice it until I went to use it the next morning that I saw the rip.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@Sapphiresun: Boo! Which airline, so I can make sure to avoid them? That would really really piss me off.

Well ladies, looks like AF stopped by this morning! The first word that came out of my mouth when I saw was "oh shit." Classy, I know. lol
pineapple / 12802 posts
@Alivoo01: oh man! Bummer. Is it weird that I am kinda waiting for mine to show up? Lol
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@.twist.: Not weird at all! DH wants to start TTC soon so I've been kind of wanting her to show up, but getting AF is never fun. Plus, this is my first PP so I'm nervous to see how she'll terrorize me this weekend.
nectarine / 2466 posts
@Alivoo01: so that's probably what was up with the pain during breastfeeding. Sorry she's here, but at least you have some time to regulate before you start trying again. My first one was quite heavy for 2 days or so, then not so bad. My next one was pretty normal. Hopefully it's not too bad for you.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@Alivoo01: hah! I hear that. I actually hope to get it so I know I'm NOT pregnant and then hopefully get my period until the end of time. hahaha
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@MrsB2012: OMG! That would make sense!!! I didn't even connect the two!!! Thanks!
nectarine / 2466 posts
@.twist.: hahahah
So last week I was saying we had no teeth in 10 months then got 2 in a day? Make that 4 in a week. They're just popping up left, right, and center now!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@Alivoo01: hope AF has been kind to you. I've had 6 cycles already and they have all been totally fine!
@MrsB2012: whoa that's a lot of teeth all at once!
I got bit during BF this week and I yelled so loud and really upset L. It was just a reaction but I felt horrible. She kept biting me so I ended up having to put her to sleep without nursing. Thankfully she hasn't done it since!
