I'm so glad all the babes are doing well, and I can't believe they are starting to turn 1 already!! Question: is there a FB group for our month club? Or an interest for one? It's so hard for me to keep up here. I'm in one for my son who was born in 2012, and we are still super active. I was just wondering
Oh, and A started walking across the room today! Holy smokes. I was hoping she'd be a little slower on the walking haha

@GrapeCrush: walking?! Wow!!!! C loves to stand on his own, but gets scared to walk so he'll slouch down and crawl to where he wants to go. He has no problem walking while pushing something like like a laundry basket, a toy, etc.

@GrapeCrush: wow walking that's awesome! I think we have a little while to go. L is very good at pulling up and crusing around the furniture but she's still quite tentative and cannot hold her balance for more than a second without holding on to anything. She much prefers to just army crawl around everywhere.

@GrapeCrush: Did your LO just decide to walk with no warning? I'm wondering if P will do that. We've discovered that she can stand well, but is chicken. If we let go, she'll squat down to grab the floor. Totally controlled, no falling. One day, I think she'll discover that she can.
@Mrs. Oatmeal: I made the monster muffins from your blog. Used P's most hated veggies - kale and cauliflower. She gobbled them up! You should make that a blog post on Hellobee too. It's a winner.

Our first August baby turned 1!!!! C turns one this Saturday and his party is then too. After seeing L's party come and gone, I'm super nervous about C's now. Ahhhhh!
@Mrs. Oatmeal: I think we're friends now!! I need to keep the names/HB name cheat sheet with me for a lil while so I know who's who. ha!

It is weird that my LO is one of the younger ones on the August born, although he was born in the first half of the month. I am so anxious for LO to walk and talk. He has seemed pretty close to walking for several months, since before he was crawling. He seems to be getting more cautious, though.
I have not introduced cow's milk yet. I was hoping to wait until LO is one, but I am not sure my stash will hold out. I am going through it pretty fast, and have had a bunch of leaky bags, which is not helping. I will probably introduce some WCM when I run out, which would probably be about one bottle (3.5 oz) a day for about a week. I am nervous about introducing it early, though, because the main issue is with iron deficiency, and LO was severely iron deficient at his 9 month appointment. With iron supplements, it was back to a normal level within three weeks.

@Grace: Pinterest is so flipping intimidating. Plus, most if the 'handmade' parties would cost an absolute fortune in supplies and time!

@mdf106: I know! K was born on the 16th- seems like the month was sort of front loaded. We aren't doing cows milk, because K doesn't like it at all. She's been filling up on food instead- seems to be working well.

@.twist.: SUCH a cute little party!!! Did you make the cake topper banner? I want to make one for my LO's smash cake and I've seen a couple different ways to do it, but I'm wondering what the easiest way is. Yours came out super adorable!

Is anyone doing professional 1 year photos? I just booked a photographer and I'm so darn excited!! We're going to do a 1 year outdoor shoot. I'm hoping for some super cute candids. The amount of money I've spent this year on photos of DS is a little ridiculous, but so worth it to me. Now to find more room on the walls for all of these pics....

@Grace: Uh yea! I took some of my ideas from pinterest but I am not THAT mom! haha. I'm just not creative or rich enough.
@skipper2010: Thanks! I did make it. I bought some cute scrapbook paper and used some string and bbq skewers. I used little scrapbooking glue dots to stick the triangles on the string. Seemed to work! The one I used as inspiration was made of fabric and sewn onto the string. However, I feel like buying fabric for something like that could just get expensive, and it's WAY easier to find paper that goes with your theme than fabric.

@skipper2010: Also, we are not doing pro photos. My husband is really not a fan, which bums me out. I have a nice camera though that takes fantastic photos, so I am just hoping to use it more often.

@skipper2010: Theme is Safari, but we're doing all sorts of random stuff also like providing our guests with sno-cones and having real snow balls for the kids to have snow ball fights/games. haha!
I'd love to do a 1 year photo shoot but the lady that normally does our pictures is heavily pregnant and is due the following week. So boo, but yay for her. I may ask another friend of ours to take a couple pics for us. I'd love a 1 year photo shoot, but we'll see.

@mdf106: Mine has gotten more cautious with the walking too! What's up with that. She doesn't want to walk holding our hands anymore and she's done that since she was 4 months old.
@Mrs. Oatmeal: it is intimidating, but I love it. Skews my sense of reality though.
@skipper2010: I'm going to do photo shoots. I didn't get maternity or newborn shoots done, but dang it, I'm going to so 1-year ones!
@Alivoo01: Lol - I guess you have to be in Texas to appreciate snow in July! I want to see pics of the snowball fight!
