I got my 4th beta back and am not sure what to think of these numbers. The nurse keeps telling me they're excellent, but I can't help noticing that the doubling time keeps slowing down.
14dpo: 91
16dpo: 231 (35 hours)
18dpo: 409 (58 hours)
21dpo: 849 (68 hours)
Supposedly once you're around 1200 it's supposed to slow down but this seems too early. They scheduled an ultrasound for Thursday so maybe I'll have an idea what's going on then but ugh, this is so frustrating!

I think your numbers are looking great as well. I know it's so hard not to stress out during this time, but just keep doing what you're doing and try to get yourself to Thursday with the least amount of stress that you can!
Every woman is different. I'll be praying for you that everything seems ok and this little babe sticks!

Sorry you're stressed out about this...hope Thursday's ultrasound brings you some relief. I didn't get betas but my early u/s measured I think 4-6 days small. You're pregnant and you're #s are good- that's all that matters right now, even though I understand that not stressing is darn near impossible!

So sorry this is stressing you out, I will be thinking of you Thursday. It looks like they are doubling and if the nurse says there is nothing to worry about then try not to worry!

I think you're right on track. For comparison, my levels were:
15dpo: 202
17dpo: 474 (39 hours)
24dpo: 3642 (57.1 hours)
So by the time I was 3 days further than you are now, my close to yours. And at 8w1d we've still got a heartbeat :D.
I know how hard it is with this stuff. Every time I had a beta I'd feel good for a day that the numbers were on track, and then after I'd start to worry that it had just stopped and I didn't know. The week in between betas was torture, as was the 2 weeks after the last beta until the ultrasound.

I don't know much about this, but I think it's good that your nurse is positive! I feel like if they were bad she would tell you so you could prepare yourself. Wishing you the best!

No experience, but I don't think they're doing a good service to you by having it checked so often. Too many ways to worry! I'll be thinking of you and hope everything works out well on Thursday.

@wheres_c: It's at 32.9...both progesterone and estrogen have gone down slightly since Friday, which I also didn't want to know.

The fact that they check it so often is very good, but also stressful. I remember googling the beta's myself and wondering how I was doing. I trusted the nurse when she said everything looked good though, once they say that and congratulate you, you know things are looking good!

I can't imagine the nurse would have said anything positive if, in fact, the numbers were not positive. I know firsthand how stressful the beta game is, and the wait for an ultrasound is also hard. Thursday is not too far away and it seems most likely you will get to see a healthy bebe in there! How many weeks will you be at the ultra? Sounds like you will be almost 6 weeks or a little over? Just so you don't panic in case it's too early for a HB, I did not have any at my first ultrasound, which was at 5 weeks and 6 days and by 7 weeks, 1 day, there they were. Try to trust that everything will be alright, we're all keeping our fingers crossed for you!

@Trailmix: I should be 5w3d at the u/s so most definitely no HB yet. I've been in tears all afternoon thinking that after everything we've been through, this baby might not make it. It's not even like we did a procedure that worked that we could do again; it was a fluke.

I totally get it but don't cry! You have no reason to think anything is going wrong! If the numbers were dropping, then I'd be worried but right now, you have great betas!
I understand though, I was sobbing before every ultrasound I had in the first tri bc I was so sure it was going to be bad news (at one appt, they offered me a separate room to wait in until it was my turn bc I was crying so hard that I was freaking out the other patients!)...
One thing a fertility therapist I saw a few times at the beginning if my pregnancy reminded me was that the hardest part of this whole thing is actually getting pregnant. Once you've accomplished that, the odds just keep increasing that you'll have a successful pregnancy.

@trailmix @spaniellove: Ive freaked out and cried every step of the way. Its so hard to transition from infertility and a mc (for me) to thinking that something might actually go right.

@spaniellove: Your numbers look great and I agree with @mrssomeone that this constant checking of betas is not really helping. I only got 2 and had to just believe my baby was good to go from there (which for my overanalytical self was probably the best thing). You've just gotta try to stay positive and stop worrying, after all worry isn't good for the baby either. Seeing the ultrasound on Thursday will definitely help. Mine always did! And these first 12 weeks are the hardest, but you'll get through them and so will that baby of yours! Hugs!!

@spaniellove: I think it's perfectly normal that you're having several beta tests. I had 4 beta tests myself. I know it's hard to keep going in there and having the worry associated with finding out the results, but I think that as long as those numbers are doubling - you're doing good. I'll be thinking SUPER strong beta thoughts for your appointment this week and I hope that you get even better news at the ultrasound. Like @trailmix said, don't worry if you don't see a heartbeat that early.

@sweetooth: I called the nurse and she said I could do the next beta either tomorrow or Thursday at my u/s, so I think I'm going to do it Thurs and get the number Fri morning. At this point an u/s is probably more telling and I don't need another number to stress about! I'm going in knowing I won't see a heartbeat yet, just hopefully the gestational sac and a yolk sac.
