I read somewhere, something about not wearing bras with underwires in them while you're pregnant, but I don't know the rationale. Has anyone heard this? is it because the wire can press and clog you're ducts or something?

I haven't been able to wear any underwire because it's just not comfortable for me. I've been sticking with VS yoga bras.

And I guess I should add this is only since I was about 18 weeks or so. My boobs aren't big at all, but just the feeling of my belly getting bigger and the boobs...I just felt gross and needed some support without being cutoff.

i've heard that you shouldn't wear them when you are breastfeeding because of the clogged ducts, but when you are pregnant - i'm not sure. i have one with underwire and another that doesn't, and i haven't had any problems with the underwire so far. for me, its about comfort and i was lucky enough to find one that is super comfy with an underwire.

I have worn them throughout my pregnancy without incident (I am almost 34 weeks). I have only heard that underwire bras can cause problems with breastfeeding, although other than presenting a comfort issue, I have never known anyone to have problems during pg or post-partum due to wearing underwire bras.

I think it is about clogging ducts, but I wore underwire the entire time and have had no issues. I still wear it and am 3 weeks post delivery.

I wore underwires for my first pregnancy & for 13+ months nursing (underwire nursing bras!) & am wearing them this pregnancy as well. I think as long as you are aware to look for it, it should be okay for most people.

I wore underwires my entire pregnancy and still wear them while I am nursing! I think you're okay to wear them.

I don't think you *aren't allowed* to wear them! I just think they are super uncomfortable towards the end of the day because of swelling.
I wear an under-wire if we go out to dinner or to people's parties o something....But around the house, grocery stores and to bed: I wear seamless and no wire, for my personal comfort.

I loved them before and during pregnancy, despise them now while pumping. I'm now a dedicated no underwire bra wearer.
