@FaithFertility: So sweet... sleeping babe I gotta get that mesh crib liner too now that she is moving all over the place and sticking her legs/arms out...

@winniebee: I let Ethan suck on a potato slice last night while getting dinner ready, (to keep him from fussing) he did the same thing! I think he will love trying new foods once we get there.

@FaithFertility: poor baby I hope she's feeling better!
@Miss Ariel: yay for K! J needs to get with the program on the rolling
@BandDmommy: So sorry for all the drama - that's horrible
@josina: Glad that E did well in the crib!
@winniebee: I bet he loved that cantaloupe! So nice for you to hear good things about your sweet boy!

J had the strangest night last night. He was fine in the afternoon and really good at dinner time, which is unusual. I brought him upstairs to feed him and put him to bed and he started screaming every time I tried to nurse him. Arching his back, pushing away and screaming bloody murder. I completely undressed him (twice) to check for skin caught in the zipper, etc. Eventually I thought maybe he was just overtired and I put him in his crib without eating, but he screamed for a solid 10 minutes so I brought him downstairs while I cleaned up the kitchen but he still wouldn't eat. Two hours later he let me feed him (I had to put my finger in his mouth and let him chew on it and then sneak my nipple into his mouth for him to nurse). I tiptoed upstairs with him latched on and snuck him into his crib - two hours after he usually went down. He slept ok overnight and seems fine today. WTF?? Teething? Just momentary insanity? He will ALWAYS nurse.

@MrsF: Ughhhhh G did this the other nighy, wasn't screaming but was not into nursing I thought it was the curry I ate??
She also seems to go a good solid 2.5-3 hrs now between feedings and if not hungry arches her back as if no mom I'm good??
Maybe it was teeth and he wanted to chew???
I feel you when all else fails I nurse and if that doesn't work I don't know what to do!!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: What position do you nurse him in? Maybe an ear infection that's bothered by the position?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: I vote for momentarily insanity, lol! Seriously, sometimes I just don't know what's up!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: I was actually thinking of your story at the time! The only thing is that he literally never even latched on so he wouldn't have had a chance to taste anything.
@Adira: I nurse him cross-cradle. That's a good point! I think he's probably fine because he was back to normal today, but I should have thought of ears, particularly if sucking could make them hurt.
@snowjewelz: I think you're right He was absolutely normal today, though he's still chewing a lot. Crazy kids!

@MrsF: so strange! I'm going to say teeth. Ryan pretty much will always eat but if he's wound up needs a distraction to get on.

Our night in the sleep sack was successful. K pretty much had a normal night of sleep, which lucky for us means putting her down at 7:30 and having her up around 6:30. Once again she has flipped herself over by morning too.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Miss Ariel: that's awesome. Jealous!
Ryan's sleep is slowly turning to poo on vacation. Crib time on Sunday!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: That is so great! Seamless transition!
@winniebee: I'd never expect vacation sleep to be great anyway! I hope crib will go well! We're still procrastinators here...

Sleep officially sucks. I'm starting to really worry about the amount of spit up. We had been down to no MOTN feeds. So she'd go from 7-8pm to 5-6am without eating. Now last night we added in a feeding at about 10:30 because she would.not.sleep! And then again at 3:00 when she was screaming mad and could not be soothed to sleep. And then up to eat again at about 6:00. That's only 4.5 and 3 hours of sleep. There is no way that is enough sleep for her. And she was awake from 5 - 10:30p with about a 20 minute nap at 8:30.
She has some coughing/sneezing/congestion. And her teacher said that all she wanted was teethers all day yesterday. We never used Tylenol on C for teething, she took it like a champ. This one on the other hand might need it to sleep!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: That must be tough for you since you have enjoyed STTN for so long! Hopefully she gets what she needs from it and will go back to her normal (which is my dream lol) soon!
So is B's party still on?
pomelo / 5660 posts
@snowjewelz: yes, but the mil drama continues.. DH is now throwing out not inviting her to Ds baptism.. I personally don't plan on talking to her until she apologizes but I was still going to invite her.. Most undoubtably she will bring drama to the baptism. I don't know how you go from asking her to come another weekend from her ex husband, even moving the party so it would be the weekend she was there to DH and I deserving her bashing is in email all week. She even told DH she didn't like him and that he was a manipulative jerk.

@MamaG: Sorry for the bad night, right there with you.
Ethans sleep sucks period... But has been worse lately with less than 2 hr increments. I'm wondering if its teething as well? Let me know what you try and maybe we will too! I need to do some reading on sleep training...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: K only did a 4 and 4.5 and then 2 stretches of 1+. At least she nursed right back to sleep every time and not stay up! But she is outright angry when she wakes up.. So now I'm thinking it's teething pains too!?
@BandDmommy: How can she talk that way to her own son?! Sigh at least B doesn't know anything. Poor kid, just trying to have a fun birthday!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Miss Ariel: Wow awesome sleep!!! Good to hear!
@MamaG: awww poor babe l, hope those teeth dint give her too much trouble, and sorry about the spit up, could it be her gagging herself chewing on her hands? G gags all the time now trying to shove anything in her mouth!?
@BandDmommy: That MOTN wake is hard I bet when your used to good sleep! Gahhhh and MIL drama sucks, hope this blows over for you and you all can celebrate these moments that is what matters after all!!!!
@josina: 2hr wake ups??? I'm sorry
I think teething is in full force, she can't chew enough, wakes her up from naps.so far today, I put her in swing...that I keep saying I'm going to pack away...lol but she would not go in crib for this nap I say 3x and I'm out..sleep is more important!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Miss Ariel: that's great! I'm so jealous...
@winniebee: fingers crossed for the crib!
@MamaG: @BandDmommy: J was STTN pretty regularly at 3 months but added in a MOTN feed at 4 months and is now adding in another one at 5 months. Wtf?
@FaithFertility: J is chewing like crazy too
eggplant / 11861 posts
As we are getting older how long are your LO going between feedings? We are about 2.5 but going 3 a lot too!
Today had been
6,8,11,2....and she is sleeping now so I'll feed her when she wakes....
nectarine / 2210 posts
@FaithFertility: we're normally between 2 to 3 hours between feedings. Although in the afternoon she normally doesn't have a problem going a little longer, for example at 4 then one last time at 7:30 before bed.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Miss Ariel: Sounds about right too....like she will eat at 5 and not want it again until 8-8:30
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: We are 3-4, since I think she eats more from a bottle. If I'm nursing her it's more 2-3.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: 2.5 - 3 is how long we go between feedings usually.
Logan is getting sick again.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Haha, seriously! Xander just got over a short mild cold, so hopefully that's all this is.
eggplant / 11861 posts
It is ok I said stay up later to watch that interview she never wakes before 3 lately I said.......Mom in bed at 10:45 G up at 12
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I stayed up to watch it too; and we had an epic bad night of sleep. She woke every 2-3 hrs PLUS did the lets stay up for 2 hrs thing. Sigh at least I don't have to drag myself to work! But now I have no motivation to do the mountain of house chores...
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: awwww no....we kind of had a bad one too...up at 12 3 and 6 ????
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: I'm so sorry about that up for 2 hrs block of time, awful
pomegranate / 3973 posts
Gahh. 2 to 3 hrs is our norm, how do I change that?!
@snowjewelz: Sucks about being up for two hours! Only done that once and I hope never again. At least it was on a weekend!
pomelo / 5298 posts
What's going on with these kiddos. My wonder weeks app says it's all sunny but I strongly disagree. We had our worst sleep last night. This might be as bad as newborn days.
I'm not even sure we could sleep train now. She just screams during the night until she gets fed.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: I know right?! K is supposed to be at the very end of her leap too! And she gave me a few STTN during the leap so now I'm like ?!?!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: I would love to know too. And her nap is terrible too. My mom who is usually awesome at putting her down can't even lately!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: That sounds like a horrible night. I'm so sorry Good timing that you didn't have to go to work at least. Try to give yourself a break on the chores!
@MamaG: I can't figure out the nights either. I try to give him a few minutes before going in to feed him but he pretty much won't go back down until he's fed.
J's naps seem to maybe be consolidating a bit? (I literally keep deleting this because I'm afraid to put it in writing). But his nights are still worse than they were 6 weeks ago!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: lol I know what you mean. The moment I write something they are sure to do a 180!
eggplant / 11861 posts
I'm blaming teeth???? I think this batch of kiddos are beyond their weeks!!!! She chews and that wakes her up, I hope whatever is gong around causing the awful sleep.for you all goes away SOON!!!!!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: my pedi said on Wednesday that 4-5 is the norm starting around 5 months for a EBF baby?? So he is not far off that! It just stinks when they do a GREAT night and you think why can't you do it again???
