@FaithFertility: E is 5 months tomorrow, let's hope he (and all these babies!) Get this sleep thing figured out!

@josina: Gosh time flies!!! Are you guys going to try solids? If sooo you have to fill us all in!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: totally depends in the day. Ryan can go as long as 4h during the day IF he has a long nap. Usually it's 2.5 sometimes 3.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan's night sleep is down the tubes too. He will do one longer stretch but then is constantly up. Last night was 2, 330, 530 and then slept with a boob in his mouth until 630. He's not even getting 10 hours. I'm as tired as when he was a newborn. He demands to be fed every time...
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: nap consolidation!!!!! Ryan took a longer one this morning but dad put him down and he had a shitty night so I'm not sure if that's why?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: k didn't get 10 hrs last night either. And she only took a 30 min nap so far! Def takes me back to newborn days when I had to wake her up every 2 hrs to eat lol
pomegranate / 3045 posts
Crummy sleep here too - up every hr (with one 'stretch' of 2.5 hrs. Up for the day at 5:30. Yippee! To be fair, though, we usually have crummy sleep. Ha. Not this bad for at least a week, though.
Sorry to everyone else getting yucky sleep hope it passes quickly!

@winniebee: J takes way better naps for my husband! I used to think it was a coincidence but I'm not so sure...

Huh..down at 8, woke at 9 tried all but nursed her again, right back up and I just rocked her down......weird!!!
Sleep God visit us all please!!!!!

10:00 and still wide awake. We mastered blowing spit bubbles today. Apparently practice is more important than sleep. We also tried soy formula tonight and I don't think it's going to help our gas and spit up issues. I'm so tired and cranky.

@MamaG: We are a master spit bubbler here too. Now he does it while falling asleep. lol Sorry you are still having spit up issues.
@Adira: WTG Logan! M rolls back to belly & then gets stuck.
@josina: Can't believe our babies are 5 months tomorrow
Still in the crappy sleep club here too. M has been waking every 2 hrs to eat during the night & refusing to eat from about 3:30am - 9:00am (or 10am this morning)
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: I'm sorry!
@AngelicOne: Sorry about your rough night. Going 5-6 hours without eating would be okay if it was earlier in the night and he actually slept the entire time!

@MamaG: sorry about the sleep, spit bubbles....too cute
@AngelicOne: Awww sorry hopefully that long stretch of not eating will come in the beginning of the night

Last night sleep was better but not great. She did two four hour stretches. The first in our bed the second in RnP. I swear she will sleep in her crib someday.

@Adira: nice job!!
We are consistent with a 3:30/4 am milk fest. Both boobs! Girl wakes up hangry! She then falls asleep in her crib and wants in bed with me at 6ish.. She doesn't really eat then but she wants to sleep next to me.. She stays in bed with me until B wakes her up. DH thinks it's adorable to wake up with her inbetween us. She usually is turned to the side and cuddles my boobs. It's cute and funny...
Just ordered some formula. I'm going to supplement her night routine. I can't help but feel I'm empty and that's part of the reason for her wake up MOTN.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@BandDmommy: Aww so sweet!!! We usually do big bed cuddles too if she is up around 6ish...I love it!!!!
I also think G needs a BIG full belly to STTN...
I HAVE BEEN FEEDING HER AT 6 ISH AND THE. AGAIN FOR BED AT 8-8:30 AND SHE WAKWS 1-2 TIMES
LAST NIGHT SHE WOKE AT 9 AND I ENDED UP FEEDING HER AGAIN AND THAT LEAD TO HER SLEEPING UNTILL 6:45! I MIGHT START/TRY A CLUSTER FEED BEFORE BED TIME AGAIN..
WHY THIS IS IN ALL CAPS I HAVE NO CLUE.....TABLET IS ACTING UP..LOL

@MamaG: CRIB WILL ALWAYS BE THERE...LOL I KEEP TELLONG MYSELF THAT

Our babies are acting crazy!!
We are heading home from vacation today. Thank god. Ryan has been waking up for the day at 530. And that's with at least 1-2 guzzle fest night wakings. So he's not even getting 9 hours some nights! He was really good this week but I am so so beat. We are all going to bed early to tonight. Weaning from the rock n play this week. Blah blah blah.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: that's cute about the cuddling! After 530 Ryan only will sleep with a boob in his mouth. Which means I don't sleep!

@FaithFertility: DH is ancy to try solids so probably sooner than later. Yesterday E was watching me eat and mimicking my chewing!
@winniebee: @theotherstark: @AngelicOne: @snowjewelz: At least our babies are in this together!
DH and I had a night out with friends last night and Sil and BIL babysat... They struggled to get him to sleep so he was awake at 1 when we got there. (He would wake up whenever they put him down) He did finally give me a four hr stretch though, I had to wake up to pump.
@BandDmommy: We've been giving formula at night too, he nurses more at night and I def. Feel empty too.
A friend of mine gives her 2 mo. Old 7-8 oz (bm) at night and she sleeps 12 hrs!

So this is kinda crazy... Took 5 month pics of Ethan this morning and in every picture he has a halo! Not edited other than the collage!

Our sleep was brutal last night too! We have had my parents in town, so I think e is just off schedule and was overtired. We went out for dinner, but e woke up every 45-60 min from 630p to 930 and then was up again at 10 and 11. I nursed her at 930 when we got home and again at 11, and she ate a lot since she hasn't been taking a bottle well. Then some better stretches but still up at 245 and 530 to eat again. Ridiculous. Hopefully she does better when back on schedule and in her bed after everyone leaves!

@josina: Baby had an angel saying hi BTW these are precious
@KayKay: Woofff hope tonight is better for you these babes!!!
pomelo / 5298 posts
I dosed Tylenol today for being angry I think it's teething, but I'm not really sure. I just couldn't take the screaming any longer. No matter what I tried, she screamed. She chewed my finger for a bit and then screamed, so I think its the teeth.
Our experiment in Soy formula is going okay today. She spit up this morning, but we think it's because she was put down on her back too quickly for a diaper and clothing change. The acrobatics I went through after the most recent bottle to stop the crying didn't result in any spit up. Though she did a good hour after her bottle while laying on the floor (on her back again!) playing. Though the amount was small!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@josina: 7-8 oz! Wow, I'm still feeding K 5oz per feeding. I experiment with 6 oz periodically but it normally results in more spit up, so I go back to 5 oz.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Ummm so now that K is rolling regularly, she is obsessed and pretty much rolls as soon as she is on a flat surface. But 90% and spits up everywhere even if it's been a while after she ate! So now I feel like I can't put her down or let her roll too much otherwise most of her meal would come back out?!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
K at most will eat 5! And I feel like being full doesn't have much to do with her wake ups; it only having a full tummy garantees STTN!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MamaG: awwww don't feel bad the worst is not knowing how to help them!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MamaG: aww. Sorry for the rough day. Did the Tylenol help?
@snowjewelz: If only my angel baby would sleep.
I've given Ethan 4 oz of formula at night plus nursing so I would think that's probably 6-7 within an hour time frame? And nope, didn't help.
I was reading the book we got from the hospital about Trained night feeders and trained night cryers... Basically saying its all my fault he doesn't sleep longer. Better hide that from DH and start some sleep training, it did say the sooner the better, so I should quit making excuses.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: Not your fault, is it because you give him the boob every time he wakes? Because I do too unless it is right after, and even then if she won't go back sleep I'll nurse her.....so far I think until the crib/night training it is whatever works!
I hope sleep is in your future tonight and beyond!!!!
