@josina: Why do you think I haven't even attempted to keep her in the crib?!?
When she wakes and we go in sehe points to the door cries "out there, go Mama out there...there" and if we don't she cries!!! Gahhh what did we do....lol

Eating-wise, E starts off the day strong and just gradually tapers until bedtime During normal days, I can limit it a lot better because we just eat/snack at certain times. But vacation was ridiculous with everyone getting up and eating breakfast or snacking at various times. She basically would hear/see someone eating and insist that they give her a bite. Ha.
@snowjewelz: glad that toddler room is working out so well! I'm excited for E to start her school this fall (it's 18m-3y in one class).

@josina: Haha, I just keep thinking that one day she will want to shut the door and not let me in anymore! Since I don't see her much during the week I feel like I love the alone time I spend with her when I lay with her at night!
@FaithFertility: Haha yeah! Just stuff her at lunch!

@KayKay: I think that is cool 18-3!
G is the second youngest at her sitters of 5 kiddos and she LOVES the older kids,I think she definitely learns a lot from them too!!!!!!!!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: As a teacher, I truly can't believe how so early on they are so good at school....lol
She is such a good girl at home, but literally a saint at her sitters
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@KayKay: She's gonna love it! And I agree when routines are out the window it's just free for all! We were at a friend's house ALL day on Sat, so we literally just ate from brunch to a late lunch. She never actually had a meal but we also didn't really stop eating.......
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: ohhh absolutely we can't eat a thing with out her wanting it too! But snacking now meals lately no way...lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: It's totally peer pressure I think! Sleep on a mat for almost 2 hours?! Eat all your lunch sitting at a table/chair?!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Haha yep, G eats at a table too, is still in a PNP but her sitter says she will walk to it and say "tired"
In she goes and out!
What?!?!?!?
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: E does that too at daycare, he'll grab his sippy and go right to the room where he sleeps! So jealous!

Any little's getting picky about what they wear yet?
Ethan is fussy when it comes to what shoes he wears! We went to the pool in rubber boots last week.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: Yep....she really just protests changing or getting dressed in general, something she can say no to I guess!!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: K is weird about shoes. Most of this summer she would only wear her Natives, then somehow my mom got her to wear flip flops but that's it so far.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@josina: K doesn't necessarily care what she wears, but she is obsessed with shoes. If she finds a pair she wants to put them on, even if she's already wearing one set. We've actually started hiding her shoes to avoid it!
persimmon / 1050 posts
@Miss Ariel: M went through a little phase of doing that too! Now he only grabs shoes if we ask if he wants to go outside.
@josina: M just hates getting dressed & diaper changes. He twists & turns to get away. LOL
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Miss Ariel: lol, I think I'm going to start hiding all pairs I don't want him to wear.
E brings us our shoes now and tries putting them on us when he wants to go outside.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: These kids and outside!
G now asks to take Owen for a walk all day..lol
We tell her it's too hot as it is, until like 6:45 she walks the block twice no issues easily 3/4 a mile!!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Haha!
Kara told us she had to poop for the first time yesterday! When she said it, we kept feeling her diaper but there was nothing, but 5 min later, lo & behold! We're def not potty training or anything, but it was fun seeing her look at us saying poop repeatedly!
They are such "big kids" now, it's crazy! I have a whole conversation with her when we snuggle at bed time!
And her mommy preference is much better these days thank God! I notice that she seeks DH's approval on EVERYTHING. He has to praise her, acknowledge her, etc!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Yep, they are definitely kids!!!!!!
So crazy! So G seems to be leaning twords me mormore now..... cried the other day when I took a shower
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: K def still prefers me too haha! But it's such an improvement from when she only cared about me!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@FaithFertility: Ah hell. Both of my girls have suddenly become Momma's girls. C has never been my girl and she's almost 5! And twinge of disappointment I've had over their Daddy preference is gone, they can go back to their Daddy anytime now.
We've finally got K over her daycare transition (I think). I've been able to drop off three days in a row without her crying and running after me as I try to leave. It only took six weeks. I pray this situation improves next transition.
And since that got easier, something else has to give, right? Yup, we've started tantrums. They are short lived but they have started. Yippee!

@MamaG: Glad to see K is doing better!
I had my glucose test today for #2 ughhhh I feel like crap
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Ugh it's the worst! I'm praying I don't have it again this time!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Ohhhhh I pray it stays away from you this time too!
I don't remember feeling like this with G so that scares me... I've been laying on couch since 12! Feeling like a sugar crash!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Ugh yuck! Hope you recover soon! I remember I went to work afterwards last time lol!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@snowjewelz: I found out Monday I don't have it this time! I did have to take the 3 hour since I failed the 1 hour but passed this time. After K I knew I'd be fine with gd again but it's so much easier knowing I don't have to deal with it this time. Hope it's the same for you!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: YAYY! Great news! I agree; I won't freak out like I did the first time; it's just annoying!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@snowjewelz: yes, I was sure I was going to fail the 3 hour, but surprised myself.
persimmon / 1050 posts
@FaithFertility: @snowjewelz: Hope y'all pass your GD tests!
@Miss Ariel: Yay on passing!
@MamaG: Tantrums are so much fun. M loves to throw little ones himself now.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: A few days ago jack kept coming up to me and saying "poop! poop!". He wasn't doing anything so I put him on the toilet, which he hated, but he did poop a little! I'm definitely not on board for early potty training (trust me, diapers are SO much easier) but it's cute to see them becoming more aware
@MamaG: Glad that daycare is going better! It's so hard to leave when they're upset
@FaithFertility: Ugh - the glucose test is so horrible. That sugar crash afterwards is the worst!
@Miss Ariel: That's so great that you passed!

Micah managed to climb out of his crib last night. The crib can still lower one more notch so we'll try that and hopefully he won't be able to climb out. I'm not ready to transition to a toddler bed!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: I agree! I absolutely do not want to potty train, lol! love diapers (minus the cost!)
@whenoceansrise: Hope it's an isolated incident!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: Yeah - the cost is killer, and having a potty trained child is awesome once they get the hang of it but I'm glad we waited until almost 3 with M.
@whenoceansrise: Yikes! I'm glad that you still have one more level to lower the crib
pomelo / 5298 posts
@whenoceansrise: Ouch! We haven't fully lowered our crib either. K stuck her foot up on top the other morning when I went into her room and was gathering her clothes. I'm in camp wait it out as long as possible. C was over 2 when we moved to her toddler bed.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: I'm also in camp, not ready to potty train! Diapers are just so darn convenient. We did a child led training with C that worked well and was pretty low pressure. I'll be up for that again. We started around two at her direction. She wasn't fully trained (including overnight) until 3. So it was a LONG process but low stress.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@whenoceansrise: Ohhhh man....hope it was a one time event!!!
@MamaG: @MrsF: Yes, I am not ready at all... lol... but if she asks I definitely follow her lead at times it has been awile!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: He did it twice sooo hopefully tonight will be better!
@MrsF: Keeping my fingers crossed that it keeps him from trying to climb out again!
@MamaG: I'm with you. I don't want to transition to toddler bed anytime soon!
@FaithFertility: He's a little monkey so we'll see!
