@snowjewelz: Yep, I think we just adapt to the new normal and make things work!
We are in a real "sweet" spot right now AJ isnt 100% mobile yet but can definitely sit, play and entertain himself or interact with G and she plays so well with him, and sleep is well I don't dare say
So I am loving and taking each of these days as I know things change so fast!!!!

Moms of boys, do they leak at night a lot?! AJ STTN but leaks 3-4x a week and that does wake him
I feel like I have tried all the tricks..
Different brands, size up and I even put G's pull ups over his diaper lol any other tips?!?!

@FaithFertility: Ever since K2 can sit unassisted my life just got 10000% better haha!

This non potty training thing is getting on my nerves tho. B/c she hates laying down to change diaper (she only has to lay down for poop and when I change her into night time diaper which is not a pull up. Maybe I should just get pull up night time too....), so I'm like well, if you don't want to change diapers, just start using the potty! And she's like nah. But I will still protest all diaper changes
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: AJ protests ALL diaper changes and it is awful... can't imagine a 2.5 yr old sorry Mama

@FaithFertility: We had leaks and had the best luck with Up&Up overnights. Now we just have to make sure and change him as soon as he gets up. Probably helps us that he doesn't sleep that long at night, 9 till 6 am.
@snowjewelz: Yep, lol. When I ask E if he needs his diaper changed now, he'll say no, dad did, when I know he didn't. Or if he pooped, no mom did, lol. SMH.
He's on and off with when he wants to use the toilet.

@josina: omg my sister at this age would protest and say "No it's not 4oclock!" No matter the time lol
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: The non-training is getting to me too. I'm getting really close to deciding to force it rather than let it happen naturally. She's starting to ask to wear underwear, and I keep telling her not until she goes in the potty. She knows she will get m&m's but still no interest!

@KayKay: Thanks for checking on me! The day went well (particularly taking my very low expectations into account ) Everybody had all of their meals and I even took a very quick shower! The baby has been wanting to be held all of the time which is tough, but he falls asleep in the carrier. Anyway - one day at a time! DH is bathing the big kids now and C is snoozing in the swing so I'm catching my breath...
@FaithFertility: @snowjewelz: It's crazy, I felt so overwhelmed being on my own with M when she was little and the same with each subsequent kid added. Now when I just have the newborn for a grocery trip or something it feels like vacation!
@FaithFertility: J has gone through phases of leaking. Huggies overnights have been the best for us but in the past few days he's been leaking every morning. Yuck.

@MamaG: that's how it happened for us! i went to target to get some pull-ups and undies, and that day, he decided he only wanted to wear the underwear, not pull-ups. So I went with it!

@MrsF: glad the day is going well! And that he likes the carrier
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: @theotherstark: K now wears undies over her pull up! Maybe I should tell her it's one or the other only!

@FaithFertility: oh indeed it is! Especially when it is the easier one (which right now is T!!)
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Leaks! Make sure his penis is pointed down in that diaper. And size up if necessary. We also found switching to Huggies Overnites to make a HUGE difference with leaks.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: a few things - (1) make sure penis is pointed DOWN (2) Huggies Extra Protection overnights size up. Those were key for us.

@MrsF: nice work! I'm getting soooo nervous about this. The boys fight non-stop and I basically run interference 75% of the day. How am I going to do that w/ a newborn?
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: it's the same exact scenario here. I'm just taking it moment to moment. A little more tv than usual letting them eat whatever they want and keeping the baby attached to me. I just keep telling myself "this is my last baby. I'm never doing this again". Horrible, but helpful. I love my kids with all of my heart but I am just NOT a baby person.
Also (surprisingly ) J is much more interested in the baby so he is happy to "help" me, which gets him out of M's hair and reduces fighting.

@MrsF: good to know! I always wonder if the older kids are content to just hang and play and that is how moms of 3 get it all done. Ty is super, beyond excited about the baby and R is expressing excitement too...but there's obviously no way of knowing how it will all go down. Keep on trucking!

@winniebee: @Adira: we point it down, but I am going to get huggies today!!! Thanks

@MrsF: 3 scares me...lol
But 2 Did too lol
Just name of the game, you rock!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: we had leaks with Ty when we were using Pampers Extra Protection or Up and Up overnights! Huggies Overnights FTW!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Same as @winniebee:! We had leaks until we switched to Huggies Overnights!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: @Adira: I've tried it all, I also am thinking he needs a size 6 homeboy is chunky at least 23lbs and thighs for days?!?!
I've been using size 5 at night and tried pampers baby dry in 6 that worked for awhile but he is leaking again...... I'm desperate lol
He STTN other wise so I want to figure this out if we can lol
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: You might be having leaks if the diaper is too big too. Logan is 28 lbs and wearing a size 4 diaper.
persimmon / 1050 posts
@FaithFertility: We use Huggies Overnites here too, just sized up from his daytime diapers. (He's 4's for daytime & 5's overnights) He still has occasional leaks, but that's because he sleeps on his stomach all night. Usually when he starts leaking, we know it's time to size up again!
@Adira: @MamaG: I agree that the diapers are maybe too big.
eggplant / 11861 posts
Ok I was using 5 because he leaked with 4's at night too ughhh IDK lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Yeah K wore size 5 diaper before she went to pull-up's; maybe size back down to see! Does he wake up from leaking?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: he does is the only reason he ever wakes!
I got the huggies size 5 which would be sizing up from a 4 so we shall see
He leaks like 3-4x a week so I really want t to figure it out poor guy
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Aww, I was gonna be like, let him go pantless and just leave him with some wee wee pads under, lol. I cosleep with K2 and one night she spit up a good amount onto the bed; I just moved her over a bit and kept sleeping haha!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: right?!?! Amen I would but no he definitely wakes!
He is an awesome sleeper and after a change and sheet change goes right back to bed unless it is like 6 then no go lol
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
He's here!!!!
Grant Thomas was born on 6/20 at 9:11 pm. He was 6lb even and 19 inches and totally healthy. I am so in love!!
Regular contractions started around 1:30 and started to get more painful around 3:30. We got to the hospital at 530 and by 6, I was only 3-4cm but contractions had gotten really bad! They had me labor in triage and rechecked me at 7 and by that time I was really miserable, screaming through contractions. I was admitted at 7 and given my epidural at 8 at 6cm. Started pushing at 9 and he was here 11 mins later!!
Thank you ladies for your unwavering support over the years, especially over the last year. It has been a long road to having this baby in my arms. But, really worth it in the end.
