@whenoceansrise: I still haven't really had any cravings There are days when I really want a certain food, but I had that before I was pregnant, so I'm not counting it

I've been snacking on lots of fruit, trail mix (I just mix walnuts with dried cherries and dark chocolate chunks), Greek yogurt mixed with a little honey and berries, grapes & cheese, etc. I need to add more carrots, celery, etc.

@simplyfelicity: I'm sorry, honey I'm sure this doesn't help you feel better, but I hope you can take comfort in the fact that you know you can get pregnant! I hope you get your sticky baby soon

@simplyfelicity: So, so sorry! Will be thinking of you. *hugs*

@septca: So efficient! Thank you so much. You definitely just gave me many great ideas!

@theotherstark: It actually does sort of help. I feel like my body really wanted to make this into a baby but, no matter what, this wouldnt have resulted in a baby.

    I appreciate everyone's kindness.

@theotherstark: I read the other day that food aversions can be more common than food cravings. I need to add more fruit into my diet! I'm a veggie lover so I've been getting plenty of those.
I'll be 6 weeks next week so we will see what symptoms arrive!

    @simplyfelicity: So sorry.

@snowjewelz: All I want is carbs right now too. The nurse said that should stop after the first trimester, so let's hope she's right. Only cravings I've had is for Mexican, but I always want Mexican so not counting it either. lol

@AngelicOne: I def usually crave stuff all the time anyway, but now it's like, I have to have it or I'll die! Oh thank goodness... I can't be eating so much carbs! I ate a huge loaf of bread along w/ tomato soup the other night...

@winniebee: How did you get your OB to agree to a dating ultrasound? Or is it just something they always do?

@oliviaoblivia: Yay!! Love seeing you here!! I've wanted to be in a due date thread with you since we started TTCing in 2012!!!

@PawPrints: Yay for having appointments scheduled!!! So exciting!!

@allison: I think some women can hear the heartbeat via doppler as early as 8 or 9 weeks, but I had an anterior placenta last time, so we didn't get to hear the heartbeat until 13 weeks!

    @simplyfelicity: I'm so sorry...

@septca: Would you do the MW diet again? What are your thoughts on it?

@whenoceansrise: I'll be six weeks on Tuesday. The only thing I've really craved at all is milk. I cannot get enough!!!

@Adira: They always do a dating ultrasound around 7-8 weeks. I won't be quite 7 wks but the following week we are out of town. The only other routine ultrasound that they do is the 20w anatomy scan.

@MRSJX3: I'll be 6 weeks on Tuesday as well! At least milk is healthy!

  13. septca

@MRSJX3: Absolutely. I will see the same pratice for any subsequent pregnancy, so I won't really have a choice. I followed it about 85-90% the first time. My goal for next time is 80%. In all seriousness, I felt *amazing* during my pregnancy - healthy and strong. I think a lot of that had to do with the MW's diet and exercise requirements. Plus, I gained exactly what my body needed - I know that is true because I lost everything by my 6 week apppointment.

@winniebee: Jealous! The only u/s my office always does is the 20 week anatomy scan. So my first u/s will be the optional first trimester screening. I want a dating u/s!

@oliviaoblivia: I didn't realize that our first babies were actually so close in age! So yours will be ALMOST 24 months apart? And mine will be 22 months apart!

  16. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Adira: Yup. I'll have two under two for just a week.

Wow! I am so far behind. I was feeling "not pregnant" and mopey this past week so I've just been offline. Congrats to all the new mamas on your BFPs and welcome!!

Had an appt yesterday. Turns out they do u/s at every appointment. Is that the same for you @snowjewelz ?. I felt pregnant again gettin to see the heartbeat!. Looks a lot more baby like at 8 weeks than 6! Plus my SO was there and had the biggest grin on his face. The tech kept calling him daddy, super cute.

The negative is that I got genetic blood work "universal plus" screen back which came up positive for a few things I don't understand and my ob didn't really explain. Also confusing because my genetics test after my 2nd m/c came back normal. Getting referred to maternal fetal medicine specialist and put on Lovenox. I'm trying to hold out til I see the specialist to go crazy on google and get stressed.

@theotherstark I totally almost threw up on the subway this afternoon. It was horrible, I just kept breathing slow and trying not to look at anyone. The train in general just grosses me out right now.

Sorry for the long post! Hope everyone feels ok and enjoys the weekend!

@Adira: shush! I do not want to carry another ten pounder past due!

  20. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@oliviaoblivia: OMG, 10 lbs is so big!!! But I've heard big babies are super healthy at least!!!

  21. winniebee

@oliviaoblivia: Your LO was double the size of mine at birth LOL!

  22. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Adira: Yeah I was surprised - my last practice did a 10w and 18w as standard ultrasounds.

  23. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Adira: L was one gram below the threshold for mandatory NICU visit. But yeah, she's very healthy and slept well early on. My stomach is a disaster but stretch marks are a small price to pay for a healthy kid.

  24. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@winniebee: I had a friend due with twins a few weeks after me. She was kinda rude about how big I was...."I mean I'm huge too, but I'm having twins."
My one baby weighed more than her two babies. Made me feel a bit better about my enormous bump size.

  25. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@oliviaoblivia: rude! do larger babies run in your fam?

  26. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@oliviaoblivia: Oh, I didn't realize there was an upper limit to what they consider healthy too! Xander was almost 9 lbs at birth and I'm worried about baby #2 being bigger!

  27. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@winniebee: Yeah. The women in my family have all nine pounders. Except my mom with my 8lb 14oz, two week early sister.
    I was 9lbs. 9oz. and DH was 9lbs. 3oz.

@Adira: They were worried that I had un-diagnosed GD. Even though I had my sugar checked regularly and followed a fairly strict diet.

@oliviaoblivia: When did you end up delivering? Early? Late?

@oliviaoblivia: My LO was in the NICU and he was HUGE compared to some of the kids in there. I can't imagine seeing a 10+ pound baby in there with all the peanuts..

  33. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@oliviaoblivia: Oh wow! haha, right on time! I was relieved when Xander was a week early because he was already right around 9 lbs and I was so scared of shoulder dystocia! Hoping next baby isn't any larger!

  34. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@winniebee: How much is T weighing now? B is almost 30 pounds. From 4.5 lbs to 30 lbs. You'd never guess he was a preemie.

  35. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@littlek: nowhere near 30 lbs! Crazy how big he has gotten! Maybe 24 or 25 and 33 or so inches? Dad and I are both quite small (DH is only 5'6 and I'm 5'2) so we never really expected him to "catch up".

@whenoceansrise: yes!!! My food aversions have been totally out of control. I have zero interest in meat-I have to force myself to eat it. The thought of it turns my stomach (so random). I'm making pasta from scratch tonight with a ragout sauce to try and get some good iron into my system. Ahh, pregnancy aversions!

  37. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

My food aversion seems to be chocolate and most sweet things. No desire whatsoever!

@theotherstark: sorry you got sick in public! Mine have fortunately all been at home but I remember throwing up in my car during my first pregnancy. I always had a red solo cup in my car. But getting sick in front of others in public just sounds awful. Hope you're feeling better!

@magnolia: stay away from google and try not to stress. Easier said than done I know. FX the specialist is helpful and gets your questions answered. Hugs!
