I've started having people ask me daily if I'm having contractions, if I'm dilated, or if 'anything is happening yet'. I'm only 38 weeks so I can't do this for another 2, 3, or (shudder) 4 weeks! Its making me crazy.

Very early on I told people if I didn't have a baby by tax day then they could start asking when it was coming (me edd was 4/1)... I also refrained from giving my exact edd so nobody really knew for sure. lol. We did have 1 guy that was always like "still pregnant" starting from like 7 months, but I only saw him once a week when DH did media for service so I was able to manage.
I would make a fb announce that you're turning off your wall & phone and you'll let everyone know when that baby arrives.... sometime before the 4th of July! lol

@runsyellowlites: Its at work that its the worst. I've had someone ask me three times already if I'm *sure* I'm not having contractions. I told her to stop asking, but we'll see if it sticks. Makes me want to go on maternity leave early!

Haha I made a fb announcement along those lines, that everyone would know when something happened it drove me crazy!

put this on all your social media, and text it as a response when people ask!!

@grizz: Oh that reminds me of one client I had... it was a women's health clinic, so the NP was ALWAYS asking if I was having contractions, and the Financial guy was always worried my waters were going to break right there! smh... Again though I only saw them once a week & actually started my leave at 38 weeks so yea...
I would TOTALLY say something if I were you! Like put a sign on your desk... "When baby arrives, you WILL know..." lol

@runsyellowlites: I work in that field, so I'm guessing thats why! They've always got babies on the brain. I told our dietician that if she asked me again I'd go sit in her chair if my water broke

I sure wanted to... work just must be the worst for this! People would walk by me and tell me that I look uncomfortable and tired and SO ready to get that baby out - awkward, because I feel great and I'm not in any hurry right now! But geez, thanks for reminding me I've put on a bit of weight...

I did. I just started snapping at people, eventually. I was a miserable pregnant woman.

No, but I definitely should have! I had lots of people ask at work if I'm having contractions yet, or if I'm dilated yet! So inappropriate.
Also, the cafeteria lady would always say to me everyday OMG you're still here?!

It really didn't bother me to get those comments, so I didn't ask anyone to stop.

It didn't really bother me all that much to get these comments either, so I never felt the need to tell anyone to stop. I would just smile and say no :o)

SO glad I'll have three weeks of no work before my due date--that would drive me crazy. I wouldn't mind my mom/close friends asking...but I don't want random coworkers I'm not close to asking about the state of my uterus.

No... I started dreading walking in to work because they would look at me and say "Why are you here? Shouldn't you have had that baby already?"

@BabyBoecksMom: I won't come out of the bathroom stall if anyone else is in the bathroom, and I wait to get on the elevator until I can get on it alone! Nothing more awkward than elevator conversations with coworkers I don't know about the state of my uterus! lol

I'll be 40 weeks on Friday and my best friend and dad text/call every day to check in on progress. I know it is because they are excited/anxious, but it is a little stressful, like people are "waiting" on me!
@Anagram: My last day of work was at 37 weeks, and now I am realllly hoping it won't be another 2 weeks of this waiting!

Yep, my own parents. I told them they needed to stop calling me multiple times a day and that if anything started happening we would let them know. I also posted status updates on FB that basically added up to "Stop asking me if I'm still pregnant!" (but not quite that rude!).
I went two weeks past my due date and I started to feel like everyone was putting so much pressure on me for something over which I had zero control. Super frustrating.
