I'm 33 weeks and have yet to have any swelling (thankfully), but I'm worried it's about to come on at any time! I want to be able to stay in my own shoe size!! Lol
Did you get swelling in your pregnancy, and if so, when?

Oh my gosh did I ever!! Of course, it was the summer for record highs here so that didn't help any. It started around 30 weeks I think.

Luckily I had no swelling throughout my pregnancy. My feet did get swollen after labor due to all the extra fluids pumped in me. It went away after two weeks and my shoe size never changed.

It started around 34-35 weeks and it was horrible. I stopped fitting in everything, had to go buy a pair of flip flops 2 sizes too big and started gaining about 5 lbs a week. You could push your finger into my leg, and the indention would still be there 10 minutes later. It was awful. But within 2 days of delivery, I dropped 30 lbs and could wear normal shoes again.

I swelled up like crazy but it was due to pre-e, so not your typical swelling. I could press dimples into my feet and legs that would last 5-10 minutes like memory foam. It was actually the only sign I could see/feel that something wasn't right. I was hospitalized at 37 weeks and on strict bedrest until I was induced.
ETA @bree72: just read your comment - yes! so freaky

With my twins I had huge amounts of swelling. Bu I had pre-e too and gained 30 lbs in the last month. Luckily I lost 50 in the First 2 weeks pp. my single pregnancy I had a little but not nearly as much. It started at about 35 weeks I think.

Right away I noticed by the end of the day my feet were swelling in my heels. So I went out and got flats and bought a 1/2 size bigger for comfort. Around 32 weeks those started to feel tight. So went and got another pair 1/2 size up again. But I would say from around 25 weeks on I was no longer able to wear my wedding ring. I was too puffy by the end of the work day and what not.

About the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy any swelling was past minor. My OB said it was because I was carrying low and so blood had a harder time getting back up the veins when I spent much time on my feet.

@ValentineMommy: I think you know I've been swelling a bit, haha. It started for me around 29ish weeks, and it's mostly in my extremities. I've been wearing wrist braces at work and when I sleep so my fingers don't completely go numb (the swelling is compressing my median nerve), and my feet are puffy most days. I've been wearing black knock-off Ugg boots to work recently, because my work flats don't really fit, and if I do wear them, the swelling is way worse by the end of the day. Joy.

Minor swelling starting around 30 weeks, mostly in my hands and feet....I lived in flip flops and had to take my wedding band off (my fingers swelled up just enough that it wouldn't fit) but I was heavily pregnant over the summer, so I wasn't surprised.

man, you guys are scaring me! I'm at 33w, and my wedding rings still fit, my shoes still fit fine, and I literally have only looked slightly swollen after a really hot shower. I'm really freaking out that it's going to just come on all of a sudden!
@smocks: awww, I know Are the braces helping?

@ValentineMommy: Um, I guess so? If I take a nap without them, I wake up to no feeling in my fingers, but if I wear them, I can feel almost everything but the very tips. The one I got for work doesn't seem to be very helpful though I'm hoping the majority of this is water weight or whatever, so it comes off quick. I've been telling DH that I can't wait to de-puff, haha.

I was a whale from about 26 weeks.... Ankles, feet, legs, fingers.... Grim. But compression stockings were amazing!

I was pregnant through the summer (hottest one in history for our location) and my fingers swelled around 25 weeks. My legs/feet started to swell at 37+ but all are back to normal (12 weeks PP)

At around 28 weeks or so, I was having to remove my rings by the end of the day. At 33 weeks, I couldn't wear them anymore. Now, at 38 weeks, my hands are so swollen that they hurt - I feel like I have arthritis! And my feet are usually swollen by the end of the day, especially if I'm on my feet a lot at work, even though I wear compression stockings.

No swelling with my first! My rings still fit and my feet didn't change sizes (whew!) - but my third trimester was also over the winter, so maybe that helped?

Just a touch in the very last weeks. My nose took on this new and interestingly different shape - it was kind of fun.

I was a huge swollen mess during pregnancy. It started in the second trimester and just got perpetually worse and worse until the end.

@smocks: I never knew they had braces. I always wake up numb. And I guess I should have gotten stockings but I guess I will not bother now...40 weeks tomorrow! Can't wait for all of this swelling to go away....
