I didn't , because I wanted a boy and got a boy. If we never end up having a girl, I will definitely be disappointed!

It was a fleeting moment, but yes. I've always pictured myself having a girl and was hoping for one.

About 10 seconds later I was over the moon for Team Blue.

It would be nice to have at least one of each so you never have that "wondering" feeling but ultimately, I vote no. After having a girl, I actually would love another girl because we have everything already. A boy would be fun, exciting, and new for us so that would be great too. I guess I just want another baby to add to the family.

I did when I found out #2 was a boy. I really wanted a sister for my DD.
Having one of each is the best thing ever though. I die every day from happiness and heart bursting

I didn't with number one. I can't decided if I prefer another girl for number 2 or a boy to have one of each. I think I'd be happy either way once we decide to have another.

I did not because I really wanted a girl and that's what we had. I would've been a little disappointed if she had been a boy.

@mrskc: aww I'm so sorry. It's brave of you to admit this. What does the Chinese birth chart say? Was it right for A?

First one I thought I was having a boy but we had a girl! I was happy though!

It's win-win for gender with me, but it's also lose-lose. Early in the next pregnancy I know I will be going through "if C has a SISTER..." and "if C has a BROTHER...." I do that, but I also try to keep in mind that sex doesn't determine personality, interests, etc..

I feel like I'm the opposite of most people, in that I was very disappointed (both times) that I was having girls. I obviously got over it, but it took me several months to come to terms with it.

A little--because we thought she might be a boy and Dh wanted a son so much. It lasted a few days and then I was so excited to be having a girl

@Smurfette: I feel exactly the same. We found out the first time what we were having because I would have needed some time to adjust if she had been a boy. But second time around we are planning on waiting. I would love to have another daughter but would also love to experience having a son.

I really wanted a girl and she was one (still is!) so I was over the moon. I'm totally confused about the next baby, though (when we decide to have one) because I want another girl so much (I want to use all those cute clothes again!) but I also want to have a son one day.... and DH only wants two children..... gah!

I was really hoping for one of each with my twins. I think I would have been a lil disappointed if I had 2 of one. Even though ultimately, all I really care about is that they are healthy. With this next one, I really don't care which one it is, although I know my hubby wants another boy.

We were TG and I convinced myself it was a boy, I think because I wanted a girl so I figured I wouldn't be disappointed if it was a boy. When my husband said "it's a girl", I was like "are you sure?"- I didn't believe him!

I'm pregnant now and will probably be TG again- sort of hoping for a little sister for DD but will be happy either way.

we were TG and it helped me not have gender disappointment, i think. i'd already had 2 m/c so i really didnt care either way, but i think i might have had a little disappointment if i'd found out during an ultrasound.

Currently TG with #2, and I want a girl for me, and a boy for DS. DH doesnt matter, haha. I'm still subscribing to the same school of thought - not finding out beforehand will ward off any disappointment!

We were team green the first time. I think that I was secretly hoping for a girl, but wouldn't let myself admit to it. When she turned out to be a girl, I was over the moon. This time we found out that we are having a boy. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, just a bit shocked, since I thought for sure it would be another girl! I am a bit disappointed for DD that she won't have a sister, but still really excited for a boy!
