@lady baltimore: Yes, I got both at the same time in different arms. The Tdap didn't really hurt going in but my arm was more sore and for longer than the flu one. No side effects for either.

My first midwife (2012) recommended it to any of her women who spent a lot of time around children or at risk populations (teachers to) but I declined although I did get the flu shot.

I wasn't offered it during my second pregnancy (2015).
