we are doing Winter One-derland with a penguin theme - I found invites on etsy and the sample had her name, so it was obviously a sign 
I bought some snowflake plates and napkins at target and will accent with pink and teal to match the invites! doing a hot chocolate bar, too, so I have to buy some to-go coffee cups. I'm excited!

I already told my in-laws Jan 16th. I haven't booked a place yet!! I wanted this outdoors kid's park a month ago but DH vetoed it because we live in Cali and El-Nino is suppose to hit in Jan so outdoor stuff is a big no-no.

@sorrycharlie: That's great! We did an at home 1st Birthday for our first but it felt so crowded in our townhouse that we decided to just book a place for their parties now. The invites look so cute!!

This is the only picture I really have; DH has not uploaded the rest on his DSLR!
I basically just got a ton of snow flake cut outs/decals and blasted them all over walls/windows and have a bunch of pink/white/silver balloons.

@sorrycharlie: another December mom chiming in here! We also had a hot chocolate bar. Although it wound up being 80 the day of her party so my niece and nephew were basically the only ones who had any. Which basically means I've been drinking hot chocolate and whipped cream in my coffee all week.

Booked the place last night! It was kind of pricey and we had to move our date by a week (now it's Jan 23) because everything was booked up on that weekend but I put the deposit down.
It is an indoor play area with a big room on the side for your party, I got a 2.5 hour time slot. I think it was pricy because you get 4 helpers that work there to help run your party. I got a place last year that was about 50 dollars cheaper and it didn't have any helpers so I'm happy to pay for helpers.
