So if you were GBS+ for baby 1 were you also in subsequent pregnancies?
I was with DD and the NP told me to expect the same this time around...trying to see what others have experienced! I only care bc it means req'd 48 hrs in the hosp after birth so trying to plan accordingly!

Actually, I wasn't. I was positive with LO #1, so my doctor told me I would probably be positive with subsequent pregnancies. To which I thought, "Of course I will. Just my luck." But I ended up being negative with LO #2. So you might be off the hook!

I was for both. I was cleared to leave after 24hrs with #2.

At my first appointment, my nurse actually told me that it's not guaranteed I'll be positive again because it's somewhat random. She said she has two kids and was only positive with one. I'll know in a few weeks if I'm positive again so I'll try to remember to let you know!

I was with number 1 and they have tested me positive for this one too 
I'm only bummed because I got a terrible yeast infection from the antibiotics. And LO got thrush. Not looking forward to that again.

I was positive for LO #1, but my OB specifically told me that it is totally random and that it doesn't mean I'll be positive for future children.

Yes with both but my OB says that just because you're positive doesn't mean you'll always be.

I was neg for #1 and pos for #2. I didn't get the antibiotics in time and I still left the hospital around 36 hours after labor

I was positive for both and had to stay an extra day both times.

I thought I would update since I forgot before. I ended up being positive again. I was able to leave "early" after only 47 hours this time.

Yes, left after 48 hours the first time, and 24 hrs the second. Vaginal delivery for both.

Positive for the first, negative for the second. It was absolutely amazing - I was able to decline a routine IV for most of my waterbirth. I ended up having one anyway to get a bag of saline, but that was it. It was so amazing to not have the IV the entire time, and to not need antibiotics.
