Checking in! What (if anything?) are you getting your LO's for the holidays? Are they getting their grandparents anything?
I'm torn between a photo book, mug or ornament... I tried DIY salt dough ornament this week and realized his hands make ornaments that are too big and heavy to hang from a tree... d'oh!

We'll be visiting his parents for xmas,b then mine for new years! Excited and terrified for his first flights at 6.5 months!
We also thought of ordering photo books for the grandparents. My biggest worry is how to convince our moms not to buy him too many gifts. Bah.

We got R an Oxo bib, Mozart Magic Cube, A&A dream blanket, and books.
She is possibly getting her grandparents a photo book. My sister picked up fleece material to make simple blankets for my parents yesterday that have grandma and grandpa themes. Just cut strips around the edges and tie - tada, a blanket!

MIL keeps asking what's on his list! I need to come up with some more stuff.... I put the zany zoo on their and some smaller toys. Hmm. Maybe clothes?

We got both grandmas a photo book. There are some good sales going on right now. We're not getting E anything specific, since we buy random things for him anyway. He is getting a crib soon, so I guess there's that!

@Espion: no...I was thinking I probably should've done that before Thanksgiving to beat the rush. I'll probably skip it this year. Have you taken E yet?

We got him 3 toys, a stuffed animal, a chair, a book and some clothes. More than I was planning on, but it's stuff I've been collecting over the past few months.
@Espion: We're taking him to the mall for pictures with Santa next week

I had never heard of this until @grizz: mentioned it, but we are sticking with four gifts - want, need, wear and read. We plan to do this every year so gift giving never gets out of control.
For the grandparents we are doing a little photo book.

@swedishfish: We took him today! The nursery where we got our tree had Santa in a sleigh. Even better, we hit right in between two rushes, so they let us take a whole different set of pictures until we got one we liked. I was jumping up and down and clapping like a loon to get him to smile!!

@knittylady: Ahh I just took the DIY hand ornaments out of the oven. I never thought about that!!!! Oh well, the grandparents are getting them anyways, I'm pretty sure they'll find somewhere to put it haha.
We're doing the four gifts too...only thing I have so far is the need, a convertible carseat. I should probably figure that out, huh?
We plan on visiting Santa this week when my mom is in town. The line at our mall is always out of control so I'm hoping and wishing and praying for a cooperative LO! I will totally be jumping all around too, @Espion:
