I'm getting to that time where I want to announce my pregnancy at work and I'm not sure the best way to go about it. I'm planning to tell my boss first. But then should I tell the two managers above him as well before the rest of the office? Or tell a couple of people and just let the news spread on its own?

I told 2 co-workers whom are more friends first.
Then I told my project team (we work together say to day for almost 4 years). Then I told my boss & HR on the same day.
I kinda let the news trickled to the rest of the office.

I told my "work wife" and my personnel and assignment supervisors (two people) very early, and I told my personnel supervisor that she was welcome to tell any other higher-level managers as relevant (i.e. if they were thinking about bidding me on a project where I'd need to be busy and present without interruption over the course of the next year). My personnel supervisor didn't really say anything for a while but once I hit about 3-4 months I think it came up in a couple management meetings so that's how the higher-ups found out. I told a couple of other people at work starting around 4 months, but for the most part, I let it trickle out very slowly and many people, even ones that I worked with closely, didn't really known till I was about 6 months along and it was becoming obvious.

I told my manager very early because I had a lot of Dr's appointments and she needed to know what was going on. I also consider her a close friend of mine and she knew about my prior miscarriage so I had no issue telling her early. Unfortunately.... a lot of people in my office already know because we had a dinner for a select group and they figured me out as soon as I didn't have a drink. I pretty much never pass up a few drinks with friends : ) I'm also very superstitious about flat out saying "no I'm not pregnant" when I know that I am. So they caught on to me. But luckily most of the people there were also people I consider friends who will respect my request not to spread the news until I let them know it's OK.

I told my boss and an upper level co-worker. Then, I announced it at our weekly company meeting. We only have 16 employees so it wasn't that big of an announcement, but I wanted it out there already.

I told my boss. I was already 17 weeks along and was showing, so people put it together quite quickly.
News travels fast, so I didn't have to do any other announcing, thank goodness, because I am shy like that.

People starting whispering, "Is she? She looks it..." and before it got out of hand, I was forced to tell my boss earlier than I wanted to in case he started hearing the news. So, at 13 weeks, I officially told my boss. I didn't make an announcement of my pregnancy - I just started showing and then ultimately started talking about it with people and then the news spread.

I just told my manager t 18 weeks and that was it. He passed the message on to his superiors and that was it. Everyone else just kinda find out

I told my mentor first, then the managing partner....then told each and every partner at my lawfirm individually. It took like a whole afternoon! It's what all of the other associates did when they announced pregnancy, so I just followed suit.

I told one of my close coworkers like 4 days after i got the positive, because she knew we were trying and I stopped drinking caffiene, she caught on. Otherwise I told my boss after I was having some horrible MS, so he wasn't worried as to why I was running by his office several times a day to the restroom.
I told everyone else in my dept around 9 weeks because that is when I found about about my cyst andthey all knew something was wrong. I let everyone else in the office hear by word of mouth.

I work from home, so I'll be sending an email to the head editor and publisher in a few weeks. I'll probably announce to the rest of the team over one of the conference calls.

I'll be telling my boss in our 1 on 1 in about 3 weeks (I'll be 13 wks). Then because we have a pretty tight knit small team, I'm going to bring in cupcakes or something as a treat one day to announce

I think what I'll do is tell my boss and a couple coworkers and the news should travel fast. We are a small office of 15.

I work in a pretty small office, and we have bi-weekly staff meetings. I'm thinking in about 3 more weeks I'll say something when we check in for "updates and announcements". It's probably getting to the point where I should say something now (bump is not hiding!) but I'm wanting to wait just a little longer.

I told my 2 primary (partner) bosses first (one of whom is the managing partner), then the other 3 partners in my practice group. I also told my assistant. The news just sort of travelled on its own from there (there was a firm meeting around the same time, and more and more people heard as other partners stopped by my office to congratulate me).
