I worked until 39+4 which was the day before thanksgiving. It seemed like a logical time to stop...but then LO didn't show until I was 40+6 when I was induced. I was ready to be done working but in retrospect I was bored, impatient and anxious waiting for her to show up!

I worked up until the day before I delivered, so 39w4 for me. 14 hours of labor starting around 5pm until he arrived the next morning.

I stopped working about two hours before going to the hospital!
I had an unexpected induction at 38 weeks though. I had had an ultrasound earlier that day, and my doctor called just as I was leaving work to ask me to go to the hospital based on the results of the ultrasound.

36 & 37 weeks. I delivered at 41+2 and 39 weeks....I was bored out of my mind the first time.

I only worked until I was about 6 months pregnant. I was going to school full-time and working part-time in retail where I was on my feet constantly. I had left my job and then just focused on school after that.

I was supposed to work until the Friday before my scheduled c-section, which was due to baby being breech. I ended up having her a week before the scheduled section. I worked that Monday and had her Tuesday.

My plan was to work up until my due date. LO came 2.5 weeks early so I worked up until the Friday before my water broke Monday morning. Had to call in sick that day...

I went to work on the morning I delivered! I don't recommend it though! It wasn't fun.

I worked to 37.5 weeks. I wanted a couple weeks off before she was born, but she ended up being born at 38 weeks.

I'm only working until 39 weeks.... 3 weeks left! I'm on my feet AND have an hr+ commute - I think it will be time!

I finished up at 36 weeks but I'm in New Zealand and I had a year of maternity leave plus a stack of annual leave to use. In the end I was really pleased to finish up when I did because LO flipped herself breech, I started to swell and my platelets started to drop which my MW suspected was due to work-related stress.

I worked up until the day before! Planned on working up until my due date. I had ds at 39w5d. My job wasn't physically challenging so I dealt with the uncomfortable feelings the last week. I was only allowed 6 weeks off so I wanted all the time for baby.

I worked until 38+5, DS was born just 5 days later.
It's interesting here in Austria. Women are required by law to stop working 1 month before their EDD. They also get 12 months of maternity leave.

I worked until 36 weeks exactly and was induced that night. I would have worked until I went into labor had things gone differently.

I worked up until the day before i went into labor, which was 37+5. Baby came 2 weeks early. I was planning to work till 39 weeks. I am in England so my coworkers all thought i was crazy for planning to work till 39 wks since i have months of mat leave to take. But its my first baby and i was so used to reading on here how most people work till they are practically in labour that i just expected to do the same

Until I went into labor. I wasn't about to waste any of my precious time off on just myself, so I kept working until the Friday past my due date.

I worked till Friday, 6/14 and was due on Monday, 6/17. LO came on Tuesday, 6/25. It was definitely hard working until the end but I'm glad I made it through and didn't have to use more sick time.

i worked until the day before i delivered, which was about 39w4d. but my pregnancy symptoms/discomfort were relatively mild. if i had been really uncomfortable, i would have considered stopping work earlier.

I worked in the office until 38.5 weeks, then worked from home - I was still emailing wrapping things up in early labor!

I planned to work up to my due date. In reality I went from my shift at 35 weeks to an OB appointment and was put on bedrest for pre-e. I ended up being induced at 36 weeks.

Personally, I am planning to work until my due date, but I will probably work from home the last couple of weeks so I don't have to deal with the stress of commuting.

I worked until the Tuesday before my Monday induction. I stopped because I was uncomfortable and because I ran out of projects that I could complete before I left. Also, my boss kept asking me "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be having a baby?"

@stine_ciro: I worked up until delivery. I delivered at 34 weeks though.

With #1, my last day was my due date. With #2, I believe it was 38+2. It was a week before my scheduled csection.

@stine_ciro: I worked til the very end which was 40 weeks and 4 days. I wanted to save all my days off til the baby was born

@stine_ciro: I was pretty miserable towards the end. I said I would work until my water broke. But my due date was a Saturday and my last day at work was the Friday before. So 40 weeks. I couldn't take it anymore. LO was 5 days late so I got to rest at home a little which was nice!

With DD (my first) I worked past my duedate, but stopped at 40 weeks 1 day, and was induced at 40 weeks 6 days.
With DS I was going to work up until my c-section was scheduled, but my water broke early, so I had worked the day he was born!
