"I knew you were pregnant. I can see it in your face."
Say what? Said by my SIL as she went back to talking about her body wash. Sigh

@anbanan15: I had this from a coworker. When I told her I was expecting, she said "I've know since before Christmas. You were looking really tired in December". I got my BFP on Dec 15th and had NO symptoms other than sore boobs for weeks. People like to make your news about them - "oh, I knew that already"...

I got that from my boss of all people! She said 'Oh, I guessed that because you've got bags under your eyes and you look really peaked. But your boobs are huge!' thanks.
I also hated the people who said 'I knew it!' when we announced we were having a boy. No you didn't. You had a 50/50 chance of guessing correctly.

@Ocean girl: @grizz: haha Love this! I'm only 6 weeks and have no symptoms and no weight gain etc. yet. I have bags under my eyes because my child doesn't sleep (if that is what she is basing it off of nowise knows he doesn't sleep). DH and I were not trying but not preventing, and she said "I knew you were trying because you were eating regular food again". Really?!?! I'm pretty sure I was eating regular food the last 2 months because DS stopped sucking on my breast and so why would I countinue to eat the same limited diet if I didn't have to?! She is definitely all about herself, just like all my IL's, on both sides, sadly.

Uh. I hate when people say stuff like this. Why can't you just say 'Congratulations,' and leave it at that?

I had lots of people tell me they knew, and I've known people were pregnant before asking. Though, I only tell friends and I say it's because they had a glow

@Sweet T: I don't think the comment or even going back to talking about herself would have bothered me, except she never said congratulations or anything. Just made a few rude comment and moved on. She didn't need to jump or down or anything but a congrats would have been nice.

Congrats!!
I had someone say that to me, too. I didn't really know what to make of it....

My hubby's grandpa, who often seems to know things before anyone else, said "Oh, you found out!" when we announced we were pregnant.

I say that, but always in the context of "you've been glowing" or something like that. But truth be told, often you can tell, usually by how she's walking. (wider gait).

@anbanan15: Ugh so annoying. One woman I know said she could tell I was pregnant by the pimples on my cheeks. Gee thanks.

I once had a co-worker tell me that with her daughter her butt got huge, I walked in the room a few days later and she looked at my hips and said "oh yah, that's a girl." She's lucky I didn't punch her.
She was right though, I did have a girl! My butt however, was fantastically the correct size hahaha.

@redsmarties: hilarious!
@MamaBehr: DH and my mom both commeted about my butt after I told them I was pregnant. I hope that means girl for us too!! Haha truth is mine may have gotten a little bigger recently but I was extremely underweight while breastfeeding and have been eating a normal diet the last 2 months.
@Mrs. Jacks: @Weagle: That is a much nicer way of saying it. She hardly looked up from the computer when I told her and her tone was almost tinged with jealousy.

@autumnlove: haha!! Philosophy andshe is obsessed! My mom gets a huge discount at her work so she was very busy deciding what her next order should be lol.

Ugh my mom pulled this, too. Said I looked thick (at 6 weeks-I had JUST found out two days before and was crazy bloated from a vacation with lots of food and margaritas). Only she didn't acknowledge she "knew" until week 12, so I found out in hindsight I just looked fat. So full of it. Now she always says she knew, drives me nuts
If you're going to say "I knew it", wrap it in a nice compliment at least! The food comment was passive aggressive, geez. And all whole mooching your moms discount too!
