What tests did you have done and when? I know that they generally test your blood type at the start of pregnancy, and if you are rh- then you get a shot of rhogam at 28 weeks, and then again when the baby is born if the baby is not also rh-.

My question is: Did you get additional blood work done after your rhogam shot?

I'm in a bit of an argument with my doc office because I asked to have a cholesterol panel run for insurance purposes, and without telling me they ran all this additional blood work on blood typing and antibody screenings.

They say that is normal because I'm rh-. But I feel like if it was normal they would have told me they were doing it. They never mentioned to me that I needed blood work done at all until I requested to go in for the cholesterol panel and they tacked this on. I am wondering if they accidentally ordered more than they should have and now I'm getting stuck with this big bill.

But maybe this IS normal?
