What would be your ideal due date? If you could choose, would you?
I think a spring due date sounds really nice. I would pick May 18th.

March/April because I'm a teacher and maternity leave would roll into Summer break and I would have 5-6 months off before going back to work.
LO was a November baby and this one is due in early August. Maybe next time? lol

Spring!
But for this pregnancy, january 8. I like the #8, it's not too far and not too close. Ha.

I would pick May 5th! That would've been my due date if i would've gotten pregnant 1 cycle later. Ugh!

April 3! It was my grandmother's birthday. Any time in the spring sounds nice though (I'd rather skip the summer heat while pregnant!)

@yellowbird: I was just about to say May 5! Cinco de Mayo would be fun Not in cold & flu season, not super close to any major holidays (except maybe Easter some years), not pregnant during the summer.

@LEIALOU: May 18 is the due date of #2! But I'm sure s/he will be late just like DS. . .

@MrsBrewer: my LO was born in November and honestly, it suuuuucked. Being stuck at home during the winter was no fun.
I like having a June due date.

April would be ideal but I am just so happy to be having a *knock on wood* healthy pregnancy that I don't care.

Tomorrow?
JK lo was born March 1st and it was awesome since we are in the south. By the time I was able to function again it was spring LO2 is due Feb 27th, so I am looking forward to that again! The only down side is that the end of feb/early march are not ideal times for bday parties outside. The weather is still hit or miss here. But we will make it work!

Spring! Only because I think it would be brutal to be preggo during the summer in SoCal.....I overheat easily!

April sounds good to me. But I didn't want to wait any longer, so I'm due in August -right in the hottest part of the year!

I'd pick sometime in March.... let's go with March 1st, so they would have an easy to remember birthday.

Spring, which I'm excited to have this round, I'm due March 20th, I was hoping for March or April By the time we are ready to go out of the house it should be warm enough for walks and lots of fresh air! Last one was an October baby and it was nice to have the holidays off but it was too cold to go for walks by the time we were ready to be moving around.

@Anya: that's my birthday! And my dad sends me a YouTube video of that scene every year

I would have picked either March 26th or June any time, jsut to maximize mat leave + summer break. Sadly, that didn't happen and now I'm having an August baby. I mean, yay for the baby, but boo that I will have way less time with this babe before going back to work.

@Anagram: me too. If this one sticks it will be a September 1 due date. I will only qualify for six weeks of leave. I was really hoping to have a spring baby and get my summer off with the baby

I would like my next to be a spring baby! March - May. No more being pregnant in the summertime for me!
honeydew / 7295 posts
I'm pretty happy with march 17 for this LO but I will say the first trimester was brutal in the summer heat so if you ask me the perfect time is probably sometime in May or June. You skip ALL the hot days while pregnant and all the cold days with a NB. I would love for this little girl to come may 15 or so but I know she will come late cause that's my curse. As long as she isn't premature and she is born healthy though ill be a happy camper!

@travellingbee: 6 weeks? do you mean of paid leave, or is your school not eligible for FMLA?
I'll take 12 weeks, plus I'll get one measly week in August of the remaining summer break, I guess (unless I go early). So 13 weeks--it's all unpaid but this time around, I've been paying for a disability insurance police, so I will get that, and then NJ also has a state disability stiped--it's not much but together, those things will help.
I don't get paid over the summer, so I'll be going June-end of November without a paycheck, just like last time. yikes!

@travellingbee: oh my gosh I am so excite for you!!! Sticky dust love! My son was due September 3rd, came September 7th via medically required induction.

Just as it's starting to warm up, so that I have the most warm weather to look forward to with my new baby. I'm due in late July, which is ok, because at least I have a few months of it. I would have preferred May, but at least it isn't the middle of winter. I'd hate to have a new baby then, and to have the additional effort of getting all dressed up to leave the house.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Anagram: no-- six weeks unpaid. I'm not eligible for FMLA because I am sort of working part time. I don't work Fridays, so I just barely missed the hours cut off for FMLA.

@MrsMccarthy: thank you! I'm terrified for another CP, but very hopeful that this could be our sticky one!!
