Hearing some stories from my sister, her MIL is convinced my sister and her husband knows the sex and are keeping it for themselves. My response, who cares if my sister and her husband know. It's their choice. I really think my sister is still team green and doesn't know. It must be hard being accused of lying while being team green.
ETA: I wouldn't be upset if my sister was keeping it to herself. I would think that she would be honest and tell people they know but really I don't care. She's team green in my book and I'm not going to think otherwise.

We had a lot of people accuse us of lying. Sometimes it wasn't a big deal but some times the accusations were very hurtful and ridiculous.

I know a couple who did that -- found out the sex but didn't share with anyone. It made people really angry, but they were always honest about it.

I wasn't team green, but I'm sure it is hurting your cause that people do lie about it! We definitely had friends that found out they were having a girl and then told everyone they didn't know b/c they didn't want pink clothes. I really *really* don't care what people do, but it's not unheard of for people to lie about little things like this!

Yes! I'm not sure what was more annoying - being accused of lying about it or being accused of making life sooo difficult for other people that NEEDED to know.

I wasn't TG, but I would be annoyed if people accused me of lying, and even if I was my choice, my kid, my body...back off

I know a few people who pretended that they didn't know because they wanted more gear and less clothing at their showers.

@stiletto_mom: I totally agree. I am someone that has to know so I'd never be Team Green but I don't see this as anyone's business if they didn't want to share. We're not sharing the name that we have chosen so would they be equally pissed about that?

A few people asked us if we were lying, but I think they were just curious. We were indeed TG until the birth.
Next time, I think we're going to find out though. While it was so fun not knowing until the birth with LO #1, logistically it makes sense to know next time. And, I think it would be really fun.

Not that I remember. But lots of people asking how I could deal with not knowing.
