10 weeks... excuse the skin, it's 110+ out here in the Valley of the Sun!

This is my 12 week bump pic! I definitely notice such a big change throughout the day - in the morning I look relatively normal, but by the end of the day I feel huge!

I keep meaning to take a photo but forgetting! (posting to follow so maybe I'll remember!)
@lauren0817: I may or may not have started unbuttoning my pants during the drive home. Evening bloat is SO real!
apricot / 369 posts
@MaryM: yay can't wait to see your photo haha - good for you for even wearing something that buttons - I'm scared of things that aren't stretchy right now
pomelo / 5129 posts
@lauren0817: Well, my work pants do have a little stretch (there's elastic inside the wasit band, but it doesn't show)
And I bought some the next size up...omg. so much better!

Well I'm firmly in maternity or dresses now since the Bella band only sorta works and nothing even comes close to buttoning. I swear I was this big at 20 weeks last time!
apricot / 369 posts
@MaryM: oohh even a little bit of elastic is a lifesaver I'm not sure whether to size up in regular clothes or just go straight to maternity - right now I'm just wearing the few comfy things I already have, but people might start to get sick of seeing me in the same few outfits!

@DesertDreams88: Oh my goodness you look great! Right now I feel like I just look like I ate too much - I can't wait to be a little bit more bumpy

@travellingbee: thank you! I was so excited about doing the chalkboard thing, but I keep forgetting to do them. I am cheating and using chalkboard markers which makes things WAY easier Where is your favorite place to buy maternity clothes? I am still trying to figure out all of this new stuff...
pomelo / 5129 posts
@lauren0817: I figured after the birth I might be happy with a couple non-maternity but bigger clothes before I'm back to my normal weight.
My SIL is pregnant with her 9th and for the last couple barely used any maternity clothes (just skirts and one or two pair of pants).
I'm following her advice for now and just looking for flower options. We'll see how it goes once the new pants get tight though!

@MaryM: aw cute bump!
I don't know how your SIL did it without maternity clothes! I couldn't fit in anything that looked ok unless it was maternity with my first. Here's a pic of me at 39 weeks with DS. LOL what could I have worn?!
@lauren0817: Target, old navy, H&M but I have a lot from my last pregnancy and tons of hand me downs from friends.
pomelo / 5129 posts
@travellingbee: by the end, she bought some plus size stuff. Lots of draw stings and flowy tunic type tops.

@Lauren0817: Thanks!
@MaryM: Definitely pregnant in the 2nd pic!
apricot / 369 posts
@MaryM: definitely pregnant! It's hard at this stage - I still feel more bloat than bump. Bring on that bump!
@travellingbee - thanks for the store recommendations! I think I need to find some pants or shorts this weekend

@lauren0817: My first pregnancy I mostly bought from Destination Maternity (Motherhood Maternity and Pea in the Pod, with a few things from Old Navy and Ross. I have already bought a few new things, also from Loft, and Gap. All of these stores have big sales, and I have mostly bought online because of the lack of selection in store. Destination Maternity was the only store with a good selection in store. I feel like maternity clothes is much more flattering than big regular clothes. I also have to dress relatively nice for work, and big non-maternity clothes seems like it would look sloppy. I actually needed to buy even bigger maternity clothes in the end last time, mostly for my chest.

@mdf106: thanks for this awesome store list! It's frustrating that most of the options are online, so I guess that will mean lots of ordering, trying and returning if need be I already ordered one batch of clothes from Old Navy and everything went back except for one pair of casual pants (yoga pants) that are so comfy that I had to keep them (even though I really need REAL pants!).

@travellingbee: Looking good and such a cute dress! I will try and remember to take a bump pic soon and post!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Worrywart: thanks! It's old navy maternity! That was the fitting room actually!
apricot / 369 posts
@travellingbee: you look great and what a cute dress! I didn't realize that ON has maternity in some stores (the two closest stores to me don't have maternity stuff) - I am already planning a trip to one of the bigger stores soon

I know online isn't ideal, but if you're trying to save money check out thredup.com. It's a consignment shop, and anything that doesn't fit you can ship back for free to get store credit. Some of the prices are just insane for things you'll only wear for a short time.
Also, Asos.com has really cute stuff. Also online only, but they have some good prices.
Everyone looks cute! I still feel more bloated than pregnant, but I'm definitely in dresses or maternity pants only.

Sooo I realized AFTER I took photos last weekend that I probably should have worn a tighter dress or held this to show off my mini bump, but oh well. There's a little something there somewhere, even if it's hidden!
PS: It's a scary lookin' room, I know, but we're doing monthly belly photos in baby's future room to see bump AND room progression. The house is still being gutted now, so it's a mess

@smith: I love the idea of photos in the nursery!
If only we could get into ours. We moved June 1 and of course that room became a catch all.

Finally took a bump pic! Here is 14 weeks with Baby Boy! I'm carrying much lower than with my daughter.

13 weeks, 5 days! My first. I thought it would take longer for me to show since I'm a fitness junkie and had a super toned/muscular stomach prior.. but I guess not! I love it though!

So many cute bumps! Everyone looks great!! My tummy is really starting to pop out this week - last week most of regular t-shirts fit fine and now they are getting short in the front. I think I need more maternity tops
PS - excuse my crazy hair - it was very humid!

@DesertDreams88: super cute bump pics!! How did you put them together? I was trying to do that, but it was taking me forever to figure out so I gave up
grapefruit / 4361 posts
@lauren0817: copying and pasting in MS paint... So, very low tech
apricot / 369 posts
@DesertDreams88: ahh good idea! I was trying to use a photo editing program and I think I was getting wayyy too complicated!
