@Smurfette: If she is "normal" I def get at least a 2 hr stretch. It's either super normal, or she's up forever wanting to nurse a thousand times but waking up as soon as as I get her up right to burp. But still, a million times easier than my 2 year old right now

@IRunForFun: Haha, I've had so many friends induced for "huge babies" that have turned out to be 7-8 pounds! I feel like there really is an enormous margin of error there. My doctor doesn't even try, and I'm grateful for that! I am very curious how big yours will turn out.
@sunnyday: Oh my gosh, you must be so stressed. Hang in there.
@Smurfette: Sleep
Really hope she starts giving you longer stretches very soon.

DD1 to school, DS fever broke 2:30 am! He's home of course, but I hope we are on our way to healthy! Took all three in the car for the first time....and the dog too, lol. Got DD1 at school and she was so proud to show off her sis to a few people in the school yard! DD2 slept through it all and made things super easy on Momma!! Slept through am prep too which made getting the big kids fed and taken care of a breeze, I feel good this am, I was terrified, know it definitely won't always be like today though.
She had her worst night so far last night, but sleepy morning so far is th trade off I guess.

So, 38+4 and woke up with a sore throat and feel like I'm getting a cold. NOOOOO.

@sunnyday: Seriously, you rock!
@IRunForFun: Ugh, I'm sorry! Hope you can fight it off!
So I went in to my appointment this morning and was at a 7! I'd been having lots of contractions but nothing unusual, so I was a bit surprised. Anyways, the doc said no way should I go to work, but let me head home to grab my bag and come right back. So now, I'm sitting here in the delivery room dilated to an 8 and am pretty much having no pain and minimal contractions. I'm definitely having this baby today, but the lack of pain makes it surreal!

@babypugs: OMG!!!!! I was seriously going to post asking if you were still pregnant but didn't want to be annoying hahaha. Holy crap!! Good luck!!!!

@babypugs: I'm lurking from the Feb board, but had to say how amazing that is! Maybe the baby will just come out with no effort on your part at all - that would be the coolest thing ever!

@babypugs: how are you at 7 and not in pain?! Good luck and can't wait to meet the little one!

@sunnyday: you go!
@IRunForFun: oh no! Hope it is a quick one.
@babypugs: OMG! You are at a 7 and no pain? My contractions hurt so bad when I was at 3. Good luck!!

@Smurfette: seriously, after 3 and before like 5 I was like can I pls get my epidural lol!
@IRunForFun: feel better! Try not to get a fever!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@snowjewelz: yeah I was like this shit hurts at 3-4 when we got to the hospital. Then I had to wait till I got fluids before they would give me the epidural. I was a 6 when I finally got it. I can't imagine labor without an epidural.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Smurfette: me too lol. But both times they had to dial it down for me to feel to push bc I suck at pushing lol
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@snowjewelz: my doctor just told me ok push when they saw I was having a contraction.

@sunnyday: Wow! Glad to hear things are getting better.
@IRunForFun: Good luck fighting it off. I was at 39 even on Monday and fighting the stomach bug off. Luckily it only made me nauseous for a few hours in the evening. DH handled LO.
@babypugs: Yeah for baby day!!
I went in yesterday and refused any check, but I have felt no contractions. I scheduled the 28th for an induction if needed. Unfortunately, I am still perfectly healthy and they won't medically clear me from work. So here I am again today. I am planning on taking Tuesday and Wednesday next week, teleworking on Thursday, and Friday is an off day for DC federal workers due to the inauguration. I'm not sure if I want to be pregnant then or not as my due date is Monday.

Had my ultrasound today. Apparently baby is measuring 8 lbs.. I'm 38 weeks Saturday. The tech was shocked I'd been referred for measuring small. She wasn't able to measure the head though because baby is so low.
I'm planning to go to my sisters Saturday it's 2 hours away, so when my midwife offered a sweep I said no because I want to go... But knowing now baby is a good size and super low I feel like maybe I should have said yes!

So eager for an update from @babypugs: !!
@Mrs. Toad: Maybe you won't need the induction? Hopefully! I haven't had any cervical checks either. My midwife offered yesterday since for my past 2 NSTs I showed contractions on the monitor but I honestly was afraid I'd find out they weren't doing anything and be discouraged.
@Peasinapod: Wow, great size for baby!! Hope you make it through tomorrow's trip without too much excitement!!

@IRunForFun: @Beehive: @snowjewelz: @sunnyday: @Smurfette: @Mrs. Toad and other awesome HB friends:
Thanks everyone for checking in! No pain at all until I was at a 9 and they broke my water... then it was fast and furious, just about 1.5 hours! But...despite my dreams of being a medical miracle, it did indeed hurt...a lot! Haha I got through it sans pain meds or epidural, but I was certainly regretting that choice a few times.
Anyways, LO2 was born at 3:40 and looks just like her sister! I am in love with the little cutie and am feeling great.

I can't believe I've been away so long! I'm 39 weeks and 3 days along (but who's counting!) and GOING CRAZY! I don't mind being pregnant and keep telling myself to enjoy solo outings and hot cups of coffee, etc, but I'm SO nervous about labor and getting childcare arranged to get to the hospital in time. Hopefully soon!

@IRunForFun: I hope not, but in some cases I'm not sure when I want this kid to arrive. I was concerned yesterday, having painful contractions on the way home from work, but they stopped and didn't start again.
At least, this is my last day at work. I will either be teleworking or taking leave until the baby arrives.

@Sharon25: Welcome back. I'm still nervous about childcare, wondering if we will be bringing our 2 year old to the hospital with us.

@Mrs. Toad: my husband says he went to the hospital with his parents when they had his sister! He has good memories from it I'm sure it was tougher on his parents but he didn't mind it.

I've been having more intense Braxton hicks contractions... Last time my water broke so I'm definitely over thinking every littl feeling I'm having since I don't know what a slow build up to labour feels like.

@Peasinapod: Glad to hear it, I plan on packing his favorite toys and a tablet where he can watch TV or movies. He is an independent boy and I really didn't scream prior to the epidural with him.

@Mrs. Toad: I'm sure it will work out either way! I was conflicted about whether to have DD1 (also 2) come, but she ended up not being able to anyway since DD2 went into the NICU b/c of me. And it worked out fine.. I really was only away from her for 1 full day. She didn't even ask about me And the meeting at home was great!

I've found that when you are in labor, people are willing to do pretty much anything to help out, childcare included:) But it's still stressful to not be able to plan because you don't know if it will be day or night, etc!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Sharon25: Welcome back!! Hope it happens soon for you!
@Mrs. Toad: Do they allow children to be in the hospital room with you while you labor? I don't think it's allowed at my hospital.
@Peasinapod: How are you feeling now?
clementine / 770 posts
@IRunForFun: I feel pretty good in the daytime just amps up at night. Which makes sleep tough. I want to see my family tomorrow though so I'm happy with things calming down during the day.
persimmon / 1095 posts
@IRunForFun: I believe so. I went to a siblings class and specifically asked that. The only issue is that it won't be allowed if there is a flu outbreak.

Anyone else getting zero sleep? DD sleeps fine in my arms, but when I set her down she's awake within minutes. I've tried letting her fuss and different sleeping surfaces but so far no luck. Haven't had a single asleep stretch all night. I did find out this morning that her clavicle was broken during delivery...really hoping it's not that she's in pain!
kiwi / 573 posts
@babypugs: hugs, so hard. I am getting sleep, but could have written your post when I had DS. Even with DD1 I remember crying to my husband that I was never going to get to sleep in our bed again because she'd only sleep on me. Have you tried positioning her on her side? My crew are not back sleepers! Yikes on the clavicle though!!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@babypugs: I saw that on IG... Is there anything that needs to be done? Some nights I get 2-4 hr stretches, some nights I think she is gassy and stays up for hours!
