@IRunForFun: Just worry about today! I am surprised she's sleeping so much with the infection!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@snowjewelz: I really want to go to just a sleep sack so it would hopefully click in her head that means sleep so she will nap at day care in the crib. But if the swaddle weaning doesn't work I will try the zipadee.
@IRunForFun: You would think her sleep would have gotten worse with an infection. I wonder if the congestion is part of it.

@snowjewelz: @Smurfette: Yeah the doctor was like "Has she been up crying all night?" I was like actually...
@Smurfette: We've been doing sleep sack with DD. I love it!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: We have all of LO1 sacks so it would be cheaper if we can get her sleeping in those.

@IRunForFun: Aww poor baby! Definitely not your fault. If only they could tell you what's wrong! (I say for the millionth time!)
@Smurfette: I have sleep sacks at the ready but am so scared to try to transition! I'm like you, something it's going to have to force my hand. Good luck!

@IRunForFun: poor babes! Here's hoping the sleep still sticks!
We had night four of sleep hell here. I'm desperate for tonight to be better. Here's hoping. She's not really improved and I know its just a cold, but wondering if there is a point I should take her in?
Offered her another bottle, took it no prob, and no spit up with the bottle, what's up with that? Slower flow? I only offered 3oz (and she drank it all) and have no idea what she usually gets.

Also, middle....nearing the back, do we have a blonde coming!!??
I have no idea how. Wondering if it's just contrast to the dark and just so short but will end up brown? She would be the odd duck of like three generations on both sides, lol!
persimmon / 1101 posts
@sunnyday: Sending you good sleep vibes tonight! It could totally be a blonde hair--I'm the only freak blondie in my family for generations, and my hair started out super dark!
pomelo / 5509 posts
Well I'm watching DD squirm and wiggle her way all around the crib instead of sleeping. Grrrr.
kiwi / 573 posts
@babypugs: thanks for the sleep vibes!!! I think we may have a break in this cold!!! I nursed her at 11:30, up again 12:50. We put a mattress in her room on floor so she and I got in there then, nursed 2:30 and woke to a poopsplosion just after 5! She's just gone down for a nap now, lol. Even though it was still very broken, it was good to get sleep and just to not have that stuffed up awake period.
lol on freak blondie! We'll see if we have one here! Funny because one of the baby names for her I loved but pictured a girl of that name a super cute blonde, and "knowing" our kids have dark hair I didn't bother getting too hung up on that picture!
Now I just need the rest of the colds in the house, including mine to pass....and we're all set!

@sunnyday: glad that sleep was a little better for yall!

Took my last prenatal yesterday.....last one forever....bittersweet! Haha not!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@sunnyday: Aww, will be so cute if the blond stays! And glad sleep got better! I hate taking them to the doctor with just a cold since there's nothing to be done!
@IRunForFun: How did she do?
K woke up so early today at 6:30; I hope her schedule is not too "messed up" today. We've been pretty consistently waking and going to bed between 7-7:30.
Her sleep hasn't been great, I don't know if it's leap 4 that's still on going, or b/c I changed her in into the zipadeezip (but she was getting mat at the love to dream arms up anyway), or both...
pomelo / 5509 posts
@sunnyday: Glad sleep was a bit better! That'd be crazy if B was blonde!!
@snowjewelz: 4 month regression a little early?
She did OK. Finally fell asleep around 10 and slept till 4. Nursed and slept 4:30 to 8ish. Now that she's moving around so much more she keeps getting up onto her sides or rolling to her back and getting mad!
Also getting ear drops into a squirmy baby when DH isn't here is really hard.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@IRunForFun: She's 4 months tomorrow, and is mid way through leap 4 so I'm not surprised! I think the sleep regression can happen earlier than 4 months...
10-4 is a great stretch!
Aww, at least it's not something that hurts or she can spit out!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@sunnyday: Are you done nursing? My doctor said to take them the whole time nursing.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@snowjewelz: Wow 4 months already!! Crazy!! And yeah, I've been mixing the actual antibiotics into a half ounce of BM in a bottle and she's taken that fine!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@IRunForFun: Sweet! Oh, the easy days when they take medicine b/c they don't know any better....
Yes, K2 is 4 months tomorrow
We were talking and saying that 2 more months and it's time for solids... Say what?!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: I put some new spoons in her Easter basket. Thinking it is so far off, but really it isn't. She is closer to 4M then 3M now......time is going so fast. Making me sad since this is my last baby. But also so happy I never have to deal with newborn days again.
kiwi / 573 posts
@Smurfette: I am nursing! My doc says to just finish bottle you have or start one more for first few months! This was the end of the bottle for me.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@sunnyday: so crazy how they all tell us different stuff.
I actually am excited to start solids. LO1 was so fun to feed. She made the best faces when trying stuff and would get so excited.

@snowjewelz: @Smurfette: @sunnyday: ugh, I'm dreading solids. Dd1 still barely eats. I nursed her till almost 2 because I felt like she was getting at least some consistent nutrients... hoping S will be a better eater... so far she has been very different than her sister.

@snowjewelz: @Smurfette: @Peasinapod: @sunnyday: I am excited to start solids just for fun! Curious to see what she'll like.
My midwives never mentioned how long to stay on a prenatal. I'm finishing my bottle and then my doulas gave me some sample bottles of a postnatal vitamin. Not sure what I'll do when those are gone.
Knocking on all the wood, DD seems to be nursing a bit better today! Abx are messing with her stomach, tho.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@IRunForFun: I'm still taking mine, probably will keep taking them till I'm done nursing. Last tune after weaning I started taking biotin right away b/c of my crazy hair loss!
kiwi / 573 posts
@snowjewelz: hair loss after weaning!?? Oh man, my hair loss right now is so so so gross. My hair is everywhere and comes out in clumps. The shower is even more gross.
Snuck a workout in, she's had a tough day today and i felt totally bothered. Jolly Jumper for the win! That was the longest she's been in it, but was totally happy watching me bounce around. Good for me to get that time and reset as she still seems off and just not taking being put down (playmat, for a nap, everything, lol) for more than 2 mins.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@sunnyday: I meant my hair loss had been so bad the whole time that I couldn't wait to get on biotin but I waited till I weaned in case too much biotin wasn't good!~

I'm so mad! DH was playing with the girls on the living room rug last night and I went in the kitchen to clean up and darn it, she rolled back to belly. DH was like what, she hasn't done that before? Um no! But since I didn't see it, I am choosing to believe it didn't really happen.
We did the swaddle last night with both arms out. I rocked her longer then normal, but she woke up when I put her down. She slept till 4! Win win! I fed her and she went back to sleep till we woke her up this morning. I am going to keep the swaddle tight for a couple days, and then start to loosen it and use just a sleep sack. She didn't nap much yesterday so let's hope it wasn't just a fluke.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Smurfette: That's awesome! And I'm sorry about the roll! I wouldn't be TOO sad that I didn't see it; but I would be mad at DH for not even knowing whether she's rolled before or not!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@snowjewelz: I think he misses so much so he just figured she did and I forgot to tell him. Or one of those I told him but he wasn't really listening too. ha!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Smurfette: O yeah... That happens on a daily basis! When she giggled I was like why aren't you so excited like me!! Be excited!! This may well be the last time you hear a baby giggle!!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Awwww boo to missing the roll! Just pretend the first time you see her do it is the first time ever. That's great news that she slept well with her arms out!
@snowjewelz: I think because this is our first DH is super excited about the milestones, lol. He's always like, we gotta write this down!!
DD slept 8 to 4 last night but then decided that was enough sleep. From 4 to 6 she just aggressively wriggled and flopped all around. Finally went back to sleep 6 to 9ish. I think her ear is getting better but she was being weird about nursing again this morning, grrr.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@IRunForFun: If she is still nursing weird tomorrow, I would call the pedi. Go back and make sure the antibiotics are working. Do it before you "stuck" all weekend.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: For sure. Ugh I hope they are working!
@snowjewelz: Yeah it was a good stretch for her! I wish I had fallen asleep before 11ish.
We just found out insurance approve the Prevacid with no copay, so we will be getting that tomorrow.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@IRunForFun: Nice! I know that has worked better for so many LOs!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
and night two was a mess. I need all the caffeine today.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Smurfette: Nooo!
We had a rough night too. Now that she can move around so much she keeps waking herself up rolling around.
