I am so with you guys on the exhaustion!! We are stuck in the car driving 9 hours home from Thanksgiving with my family and I've already had 2 naps and am seriously considering a third! Thank goodness DS is being so good in the back seat (thank you Frozen!!!)

@simplyfelicity: I am an unbelievable couch potato. I'm usually good for one activity per day before I get too tired to do anything more. So, I have to pick between, like, doing a load of laundry OR tidying up OR running an errand. It's really frustrating and DH has to remind me to be nice to myself.

@angelachase: I am right there with you. I spent all day watching "Pitbulls and Parolees," had dinner with the in laws and was exhausted.

I went to see my GP at 8am this morning, hoping to pick up a zofran prescription, but he would only give me maxalon waaaaah. it basically does jack sheeeet for my MS, but its gotta be better than nothing (is what I'm telling myself). scraped through most of my work day and have come home early for a rest. ughhh its stinking hot here too, so picked up some lemonade icy-poles

@FannyMae: dang! I hope the medication helps!
@simplyfelicity: @angelachase: @Candy_nee: I could stay in bed all day - every day!
Is anyone super paranoid about experiencing a missed miscarriage? I still have symptoms (super sore breasts, exhaustion) but I keep thinking it's too good to be true and maybe something bad has already happened I know this is super pessimistic but does anyone else ever feel this way?
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@FannyMae: Oh no! I hope you start feeling better soon.
@Reese: Yes, I do. I think when you've had a loss, it's so easy for your brain to go there. When I get really anxious, I remember the feeling of getting my sonogram and the joy and peace I felt at seeing this perfect baby. When these doubts come in, I imagine releasing it like a balloon in the sky and have faith in my body. It has gotten me this far and it knows exactly what it is doing. I also believe that God has a perfect plan for me and I pray for His wisdom and peace.

Morning sickness has turned into all day nausea over here and the thought of making lunch for DS makes my stomach turn upside down.

@Reese: this is something I worry about a lot! Last night I dreamed I had lost the baby...Waking up with ms was almost a relief! I'm really counting down the days untill the u/s next week.

@mrsvdv: I'm keeping tabs on you because our due dates are so close, and it looks like we are both at that all day nausea stage I took my first maxalon, proceeded to fall asleep at 2pm, and had crazy dreams as a result. I'm counting down too, tomorrow is 8 days to go til US!

@Reese: Yes, I definitely worry about this. It just seems so scary because, by definition, you have no idea anything is wrong!

@simplyfelicity: I like your visualisation technique, I think I might have to remind myself of this when the anxiety rears its head. especially post partum!!

I had my first real pregnancy craving yesterday: fresh lemonade. HAD to have it. DH went to Whole Foods and got me one of those frou frou bottles of cold pressed fresh juice. It was ginger lemonade and he kept laughing at me because it tasted so incredibly good that I kept going "mmmmmm!!!! Mmmmmm!!!!!!" While I was drinking it!

@angelachase: oh that does sound appealing! I'm so looking forward to enjoying my meals again! Had this with my first pregnancy too, untill one night around 10 or 12 weeks we had thai food and it was so delicious and the food aversions were gone!

@FannyMae: I don't have a prescription yet, just taking ginger tablets but they don't do much.. we are definitely in the same stage but I hope the next weeks will fly by!
@simplyfelicity: I'm going to practice your technique!

Glad I'm not alone! That in itself makes me feel better.
@simplyfelicity: thank you for that. I am going to try

@Reese: You are not alone in that thought! sometimes i wonder if all my symptoms are in my head!
@simplyfelicity: Thank you for that sentiment writing it down and referring to it when I have a moment of doubt!
9 weeks today woohoo and another ultrasound on Friday to see the little babe. This is officially my first OB appointment so it will be super fun with all the bloodwork and whatnot. I am just excited to catch a glimpse of this little gummy bear and see that little heartbeat again.
I can't remember - when are you able to hear the HB with a doppler?

@Reese: you are definitely not alone! I'm constantly terrified something's happened and I don't know. Especially the days I don't feel as bad. Thank goodness my US is tomorrow so I can finally see this little nugget and make sure everything is a-ok in there!

I feel the same as ya'll.. I try not to make myself crazy though. Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve this baby because I don't know if I'm a good enough mom with only one. I do like the visualization of peace and letting go but I struggle with it especially on days like today. Sending some love and light to ya'll

Late to join here.
EDD: July 17
2nd child (1st is now two and a half)
First doc appointment is next week but is just my usual annual doc appointment, which will give me a referral to the OB.
Feeling pretty good. (The week I found out I was so sick and felt awful but now I just eat all day and feel fine). It's nice to be 2nd time with less 'wondering'. I probably won't be as active on the boards here but am glad to be ' back' to hellobee for this journey. (Love having people totally to at same stage....the gals I met on the boards from first pregnancy are still so important in my life.)

@Reese: I'm always thinking of the reality that it might not be a pregnancy that is working out. The more symptoms I feel, the more optimistic I feel. The days where I feel 'normal' I worry. In my first pregnancy I had terrible cramps at night and was so sure something was wrong. But all was fine.

@cvbee: welcome! we are due date twins and i am also pregnant with my second! my first appt is 12/12--when is yours?

Hi again ladies,
I have been checking in on you intermittently over the long weekend but the combination of hosting thanksgiving while pretending not to be pregnant, plus a nasty cold/sore throat thing, plus a work move yesterday, combined to leave me little time to check in.
i am 7w4d today and still feeling okay. There are times where I feel like I need to eat carbs quickly, but then I feel better. To be honest though I am mostly distracted by the cold and trying to get through the day without hacking up a lung. I guess it is a good distraction from the anxiety? Although I am also just trying to think positive and be trusting, neither of which are my strong suits...
Hope everyone is feeling good today!

Lately I HAVE TO HAVE CHICKEN FINGERS! Man, could I have a more unhealthy craving, or what? I bought some frozen, meatless chicken strip things to see if I can satisfy my cravings that way. The verdict is still out, I haven't even made them yet. But boy-oh-boy when I had some time to myself over the holiday weekend, I went out to a movie. And I never knew the chicken fingers at the movie theater would be so tasty. I blame the baby

@Candy_nee: yay!!!
@cvbee: welcome!
I ended up trying to find the heartbeat with my home doppler last night but couldn't find it I still feel super sick though so I'm mostly ok with feeling like it's still too early.
Anyone found heartbeat on the doppler yet??

@sweetooth: lol! My first craving has been coconut water it's like where had this been all my life?!? Lol. I've already drank almost a liter today and it's only 9am hahaha

@angelachase: I have been like that too! I HAVE to drink orange juice several times a day. I probably haven't had OJ in the past 6 months...
@Candy_nee: so cute! Congrats!!
@cvbee: Congrats and welcome! Happy to have you here.
My nausea has completely disappeared, but the little I did have with DD did as well by 8-9 weeks, so I'm just hoping my body is doing the same thing. And for another little girl

@fuzzypeaches: my understanding is that it's still too early. My doc even said they were only hoping to hear it at my next appt at 10 weeks.

@cvbee: Welcome and congratulations!
@sweetooth: I hate those yesterday with BBQ sauce! Yuuuuuum.
@Candy_nee: What a perfect little baby! So happy it went well!
@Tidybee: You made me feel better. My morning sickness is definitely lessening. It was really really awful last week and now it's just a slight queasiness. As much as I feel better, it makes me nervous. Also, my lower back has been hurting but my sister assures me this is normal. I need to get back to my positive thoughts.

@Tidybee: I couldn't remember if you can hear the heartbeat at the 10wk appointment or not... my appointment is tomorrow so I suppose I will find out
nectarine / 2834 posts
@Mrs. Pickles: yeah - I don't think my first OB tried until I was around 14 weeks. She did ultrasounds at 7 and 10 to check for it. This practice said they might or they might not, so I'm going on a day when the ultrasound tech is there, so that if they can't find it, they can do an ultrasound. One more thing to worry about....
nectarine / 2834 posts
@simplyfelicity: oh I was convinced to the point of tears in the taxi cab on the way to my 10 week appointment that I lost DD because all symptoms were gone. I promised DH (always the optimist) that if she was still alive, I'd tone down the crazy for the rest of the pregnancy....
nectarine / 2705 posts
I've had two ultrasounds with my RE and I've only seen the heartbeat, not heard it. I'm not sure what the reasoning for that is. It was like this for my first pregnancy too. No heartbeat heard while with my RE. The first time I heard my son's heartbeat was when I had a bleeding scare/unexpected ultrasound at 10w. It was a SCH and scared the crap out of me. I'm hoping I don't have that again this time around. Trying my best not to freak out everytime I go to the bathroom and wipe. But now that I'm off of progesterone, I check every single time.
ETA: I was 10w5d when I first heard the heartbeat.

@fuzzypeaches: Coconut water sounds much healthier than chicken fingers
@simplyfelicity: Oh yes, the BBQ sauce was divine too!
