    @simplyfelicity: Adorable!!

    @Tidybee: you are my idol!! i made it to the gym once last week, I'm hoping I can make it 2-3x this week. Baby steps.

    @MamaCate: that's exactly how i felt last week at the gym. i wanted to do my usual zumba or hardcore cardio/wtlifting and didn't feel my usual refreshment after just elliptical/cycling. But I also couldn't fathom working out harder than I did that day either.

    Second time mamas - what are you planning on doing as far as nursery? Are you moving your toddler? Creating a new space for LO#2?

    I think we are going to purchase toddler furniture for DS and move him to the room next to the nursery. And keep the nursery as is (maybe a new coat of paint?).

    ETA: we just bought a twin bed, dresser, and nightstand combo we've been eyeing for DS now to peruse paint colors...

    @angelachase: Well...DH and his family are HUGE SF Giants fans. I like the idea of something that baby boy can grow into and isn't too babyish.

    @simplyfelicity: I love it!
    @mrsjyw: I'm deciding this right now! If new baby is a boy, then I'm going to keep the nursery and move DS to a big boy room with a floor mattress (and a magnetic chalkboard wall!) I hope it will be something like this pic:

    If it's a girl I'm going to redo the nursery and keep the decor for ds big boy room

    I'm getting so excited about it! My only concern is moving DS over to a new room, I might just keep him in the nursery until baby 2 is ready to transition over.

    @Tidybee: you are my idol. I have been soooo lazy I was really good about keeping up my running last time but this one I've been pretty much sedentary. I can definitely feel a difference but now it feels so overwhelming to start up again !

    @fuzzypeaches: @simplyfelicity: @mrsjyw: let me also explain that my gym has a daycare and I go to classes with other mom friends so it is usually my only adult interaction of the day. So I really try to not to miss it!

    @mrsjyw: We moved DD into a big girl room and bed at the beginning of jan. It was hell, but we are slowly but surely coming out of it. LO #2 will be in the former nursery...we're just paining it now. No new sheets or anything...poor second child. But that's one of the perks of being Team Green -- neutral things for life!

    @fuzzypeaches: I'm still working on it but here's what I have so far. We have cherry hardwood floors in the room we're going to use, but didn't want white (wanted a change from the nursery furniture), so hopefully it's not too much wood. That's the furniture we bought, but not the sheet set we'll be using. Here's a screenshot so far of what I'm thinking.

    @mrsjyw: oh I like that! Especially the prints! I'm trying to decide if I want to do a toddler bed or just get a reg bed (or loft bed/bunk bed) and put him on a mattress on the floor until he's ready to use it! I went to ikea to check out options and was so overwhelmed about deciding that I just are a cinnamon bun and came home hahaha

    @Tidybee: my dh keeps telling me not to waste money converting the nursery but I can't resist lol. Especially if it's a girl I have visions of just going crazy re-decorating someone should probably take away my Pinterest access

    @mrsjyw: yeah I went back to Jillian this morning and was happier with how I felt afterwards. I went to the gym my whole pregnancy with DD and just maintained cardio/weights/zumba and was happy. I no longer belong to the gym and can only work out early early while LO is asleep, so I am trying to plan ahead for what will work as I need to do more modifications.

    As far as nursery goes, we are planning to buy a bigger house between now and July as we are in a 3 bd now and the 3rd room is not conducive to a kids' bedroom, plus we are ready for more space. So plans will wait to see what the new space is like.

    But as far as stuff, DD is already in her big girl bed so the baby will get her floor bed. We will just need one more dresser and bookcase for one of the rooms. I am tempted to get new stuff for DD because she will be excited and the dresser we have has a changing pad on top, so it is more suited for a baby.

    @fuzzypeaches: @mrsjyw: both really cute ideas!

  14. Tidybee

    nectarine / 2834 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: I loved doing the first nursery but with this one the excitement isn't there quite yet. Technically we have a 4 BD house but the 4th BD is teeny tiny and only an office. So the 3rd BD has to be the nursery...and a guest room. We've decided to put the guest bed in there so that our families (who live 2 hours away) can be here for a few days each to help during the first few weeks when the baby is up with me in the master. and then once LO 2 goes into a crib...we're basically on our own haha!

    @mrsjyw: LO #1 will be staying in her existing room and we are going to get her big girl furniture an LO #2 will be in our former guest bedroom/now nursery with all of LO #1's furniture!

    So excited to find big girl furniture now!!!! I actually love the Juliette bedroom set at PBK!

    @fuzzypeaches: i wanted to do our queen bed that's in there already on the floor but Dh thought t might be too big of a change since D's is pretty much content in his crib and were forcing him out! We'll probably be moving in the next 3-5 years so we bought this set with that in mind!

    @MamaCate: is Zumba okay? I'd like to get back to it. I was only doing it once a week so what's the harm right? Maybe I'll attempt next week.

    @mrsjyw: just poking my head in...Zumba should be fine. Just listen to your body! With DS, I danced until 22 weeks pregnant and did 5 dance shows that weekend. I think it's all in your comfort and fitness level.

    @mrsjyw: We're hoping to move when this baby is a few months old, so going very minimalist, keeping DD in her room and the babe in a cosleeper in our room.

    Hope those of you that had a long weekend enjoyed it! I had an appt. today and got to hear the heartbeat for the first time.

    @sweetooth: I love doodling!!!

    @cvbee: yay for hearing the heartbeat!!!!

    @mrsjyw: I am still feeling sick fairly often as well. And the exhaustion is sticking around too - wtf?? As for feeling movement, I'm now 12w4d and started feeling flutters last week. DS2 is a strong kicker, according to the midwife at my practice. I didn't feel DS1 until around 17w.

    @travelgirl1: Yay! That's awesome - what a great thing to happen on a sad day. I'm so glad you heard the hb! Still no real cravings for me....I have more aversions. To everything. Lol

    @simplyfelicity: I always use Photoshop to make mine. BTW I love that blue/orange rug in the first pic! And I LOVE your actual inspiration board. The theme is adorable!!

    @MamaCate: my workouts became non-existent as my exhaustion came back last week. wth?

    @mrsjyw: We thought about this a lot. We were originally planning to move DS1 and give him a toddler room, but after giving it a lot of thought, we're keeping him where he is and giving DS2 a new nursery. We will be moving DS1's furniture though (crib, glider, changer) into DS2's room though and DS1 will get new furniture. It's all really neutral (white) so it won't matter too much as far as the design of the room. Hopefully that wasn't super confusing. I just felt like it would be too much change to move DS1 into a new room and have him feel like his little brother took his space. LOVE that rug and paint you posted. So cute!!!

    @Ginabean3: That's exactly what we're doing. You just explained it way better than I did. Lol

    Also....we named DS2! After going back and forth, I ended up buying a baby name book yesterday. I went through it in one night....and then we promptly decided that nothing lived up to our original name list. Lol! It feels more real now that he has a name

    @mrsjyw: we're keeping LO in his room, we moved a year and a half ago and my son is already in a twin bed (he's 3) so his room is pretty much set, we are moving in a different dresser and buying a new one for the new baby though
    the nursery is a blank slate so I'm excited to decorate.. now to find out boy or girl .. just 26 days but who's counting

    @Mrs. Pickles: I cannot handle the wait honestly! I want to know so badly! 28 days :s

    @ValentineMommy: are you sharing?? So exciting!

    Still peeing my pants over here :s this is seriously so embarassing! I'm hoping the baby moves somewhere else instead of directly on top of my bladder!

    @travelgirl1: We didn't discuss names until we knew the sex either! We just made the choice fairly quickly.

    @fuzzypeaches: We are! It's going to be Gideon Everett. His brother is Desmond Elliott. They will inherit/share my middle initial

    @travelgirl1: mrs. scooter replied to someone asking a similar question on her yoga glow post--here's her reply:
    "@mrs pickles: there is a lot for at-home practice but for a first-timer i would look into seane corn (she has videos to buy or Gaiam TV has her videos plus a lot more). janet stone also has a sequence called Radiant Mom which is supposed to be great (you can buy a DVD or get on Gaiam TV as well). the other place i would check out is yogaglo.com. for $18/mo you have unlimited access to all videos and they have a ton of teachers and styles. i would start with hatha yoga (aka gentle yoga) or yin/restorative. on yogaglo.com, a friend of mine recommends elena brower or amy ippoliti."

    i like jane austin although it doesn't have the option to skip from chapter to chapter.

    @fuzzypeaches: That's so adorable!
    @ValentineMommy: I love that! Gideon was high on my boy list before we found out what we were having!
    @travelgirl1: I hear you on opposite taste. I want something pretty and classic, and my husband's taste is more suited for naming a dog or maybe a stripper

    We've decided on lots of cheery colors and Katie Daisy prints for baby girl's room. I'm excited to decorate, but not so excited to clean out the craziness of that spare room. It's been a catch-all room for 3 years!

    @pearl: this is gorgeous!!! If I have a girl I want to so something fun like this! On the May nursery thread someone has another one like this that is similar vibe and also totally gorg

    @Tidybee: yeah exactly. I thought levels were for everyone else hahahaha. Lesson to the frm! Do your keels or end up as a pregnant lady with toddler urinary control! Hah

    So much exciting stuff going on! It's hard to keep up on my phone. I've been super achy/sore recently. With my son I saw a chiro often, so I think I should start going again.

    We won't be doing a nursery for now With our son we had the most beautiful woodland themed nursery!! But we are contemplating renovations and the baby will probably sleep in a basinette in our room. Our son was in his crib from night 1 so it will be much different!!

    We have an UppaBaby Vista and I was planning on baby wearing/using the rumble seat when necessary. But I know so many people who hate the rumble seat. So I don't know whether it would be better to just get a proper double stroller? My hubs would kill me though. Our babies will be 2 years apart. Thoughts??

    Still waiting on the NIPT results. I'm still not sure about finding out the gender. Hubs said I could decide so I said if it was up to me then we won't find out. But I don't know. This pregnancy doesn't feel very real and we're not putting together a nursery etc. So it might be nice to at least know something!! Decisions, decisions....

    @simplyfelicity: @edelweiss: Thanks ladies, I will check them out!

    @simplyfelicity: Thank you, I am MUCH better than I was but still need to be sat down for most of the day at the moment. At least the worst is over!

    @QBbride: we have the UPV too and I hate the rumbleseat, but my LOs will be 2.5 years apart so not sure I can justify a double.... I would like the City Select if I had the choice, I love the way both seats recline and can both face forwards and backwards.

    @travelgirl1: this is the one i have:
    http://www.amazon.com/Prenatal-Vinyasa-Yoga-Short-Forms/dp/B0032ZOXYO/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421846278&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=prenatal+yoga+natalie+wolfe
    i just started it this week but i am going to try to do it weekly for now. I liked it because it has workouts of different lengths (the "short forms") and I can only reliably fit in a 30 minute workout at a time.
    Hope you are feeling better soon!

    @ValentineMommy: thanks for sharing the name! it must be so exciting to have that set, and i like the repetition of the middle names with your two little guys. We are totally stumped on a name but DH thinks there is no rush so I am trying to relax. LO has suggested Daniel Tiger or Brutus the Buckeye.

    @QBbride: I am really glad I found out the sex early with genetic testing for two reasons. First, it has given me time to adjust to the idea of a boy, and second it is more concrete for DD to know it is a "baby brother" and not a baby sister. She is 3 though so I am not sure how much difference it would make if she were younger. I hope your results come back good regardless of what you decide about finding out or waiting for the surprise!

    Love the name @ValentineMommy:!!

    I am so behind, I am also loving all the nursery inspiration. I haven't looked at too much because we are waiting to find out the sex. I had my MW appointment yesterday so I have the 18-20 week requisition but she encouraged me to try and go closer to 20 (arghh! self control is not my strong suit!). She said that because they are doing measurements of the brain/organs etc.. sometimes if someone goes too early it could show "holes" or undeveloped areas which normally correct themselves with time/development. I guess it just eliminates the chances of a false scare. Decisions!

    I also had a scare last week as I almost fainted at work (luckily I was AT a Dr's office) but it was SO embarrassing. I had a busy day and hadn't eaten in 6(ish) hours. Now I need to remember to have snacks on me at all times.

    @pearl: that's so pretty, I love it! And I hear you...what will eventually be baby's room is a disaster right now. We call it our office, but really it's just a junk room.

    I can't wait to find out the sex of ours. 3 more weeks! I have a feeling it's a girl, but who knows! It's funny because we already have a girl name picked out (have for years) and we just decided on a girl nursery theme. Magenta and navy nautical. I just feel more drawn to looking at girl things right now, but I'll be happy either way.

    I'm jealous of all you gym go-ers! I can't even imagine. We decided to cancel my membership for now. For the most part, the nausea has subsided, but I still feel very worn out most of the time. Anyone else? (I'm 14+1 today) I don't even work or have any other kids to deal with. (Just dogs on some days.) I had to have 2 iron IV treatments over the summer, and I'm waiting to hear back about my iron levels from last week's appointment.

    Any who, sorry for the novel!

    @Reese: oh no!! I'm glad you're okay!
    @ValentineMommy: LOVE the name!! and I haven't barfed since Friday, but still nauseous, especially after meals.

    @QBbride: we are going to wait until baby is here on the double stroller purchase. DS is already more into walking and I can't justify buying a double stroller when I'm not sure how much use we'll get out of it. They will be 2.5 years apart too.

    So we'll be finding out the sex via our anatomy scan first week in March. We'll be working on DS' toddler room until then, and have no plans to do anything with the nursery until we know the sex! I haven't even thought about names, except that I don't particularly like any leftovers from our list with DS :P.

    And HOLY BUMP. Seriously, by day's end, I look like 25+ weeks with DS. This #2 bump is no joke!
