First child? No, I have a 19 month old daughter
Any symptoms? I am having quite a bit of lower back pain but that could be from anything. I haven't even missed my period yet so I'm not expecting symptoms for a while!
Who have you told? Just my husband
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? I had an ectopic in September/October so I'm afraid of something bad happening again.

@mamainthesun: These are the videos I've done:
-Summer Sanders prenatal workout
-10 minute solution: Prenatal pilates
-Long and lean prenatal workout
-The perfect pregnancy workout, vol 1
-Lindsay Brin - I haven't done her prenatal videos but I had the postnatal boot camp and really like it.
Just making the list is getting me more motivated to do the workouts! I have all my videos on computer now so I need to get them on my iPad so I'm more likely to do them without it being a big production.

So when is everyone's first/next dr. appointment? I know winniebee already had a great first appointment!
Mine is December 6! It feels so far away. I had lots of early ultrasounds in my first pregnancy, so it feels so strange to wait so long.

@Calibee: mine is Monday 28th! Finally almost a week away! I can't wait

@Mrs. J: yeah!!
I agree with the enormous amount of 3+ babies! Thank God I'm not the only one waiting for a second!! At least I can ask you loads of things about how to tell the sibling etc.
I vaguely remember my sister telling me she had to be careful when kissing her toddler, or eating his leftovers... but I can't ask her yet! Any one have any idea what she was refer ??

@mamainthesun: germs?? Can't think of anything else!
Wow I can't believe there are no first-timers in this group!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Mrs. J: nothing beats seeing those words!!
@mamainthesun: hmmm maybe she just meant germs? I figure I'm going to end up with whatever they've got anyways!

@Calibee: @winniebee: @Mrs. J: no it was more serious than that! Ive been looking stuff up and came across à virus called CMV... maybe it's that! Good to know though that your doctors didn't warn you about it so it mustn't be that common

Looks like my first appointment will be next Monday, 11/28. I'll only be 5+2. I can't remember how far along I was last time!

@mamainthesun: oh interesting! I've heard of exposure to that illness as being a problem in pregnancy but I've never been told to not kiss my toddler because of it!
@babynash: welcome

Has anyone had betas done yet? My doctor wants to do early betas and an ultrasound at 6 weeks because of my ectopic. I went in yesterday afternoon at exactly 4 weeks and am waiting for them to call me. Hopefully they can get me in tomorrow afternoon for a repeat draw. My tests haven't been getting darker so it's making me nervous.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@mrskansas: I've done them in prior pregnancies because of my history of repeat losses. This pregnancy I elected not to do them. I did do an early ultrasound at 7 weeks. Good luck!!!!

@mrskansas: I did. I had low progesterone in my first pregnancy, so my doctor tested me again right away for this pregnancy. They checked my hcg at the same time. But I wouldn't have been tested if it wasn't for the history of low progesterone. Which is low again.

@Calibee: Do you know what your numbers were?
Mine came in from yesterday at 85 at either 13 or 14 dpo.
apricot / 286 posts
@mrskansas: I was in the high 300s at 4w2d and mid 900s at 4w4d. But this is based on the date of my last period, not ovulation.
Agree that 85 sounds great for being so early!
nectarine / 2813 posts
@winniebee: That's reassuring!! I have another draw tomorrow morning so it won't quite be 48 hours but hopefully they go up like they should.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@mrskansas: with DS1 I was 75 at 12 DPO and with my last pregnancy I was 85 at 13 DPO (we lost the pregnancy, but due to medical complications much later which had nothing to do with HCG levels). You're right where you should be.

@Calibee: @mamainthesun: @winniebee: @Mrs. J: thanks, all!! Congrats to everyone!
What are all of your ladies' current symptoms?
I have been having very, very light brown / sandy-colored CM (very stretchy / sticky...tmi!) and mild cramping mixed with a few sharp pains for about 4 days, had 3 BFPs at home, but midwife told me at appointment today (I wanted to get early scanning for levels after last cycle's m/c) that it was positive, but almost too close to call?? She said my hcg levels were probably very low. Ordered blood work for tomorrow. Has anyone experienced this? I can't help but be worried
Other symptoms have included continued sore beasts and nipples, irritability (sorry, hubby), sheer exhaustion, headaches, pinches behind belly button, twinges in uterus and bouts of nausea.

@babynash: I've had bouts of nausea, but nothing full blown yet. I'm tired, some bloating today. Not totally crappy yet...just waiting for it to hit!!
