How far along: 4 weeks and 1 day
First child? Second. I have a 2 year old DS.
First doctor appointment: 11/16 although I’m hoping to go in for my second beta today. I need to call the dr’s office when it opens.
Any symptoms so far? Bloating and sore nipples, feeling a little more tired than usual.
Who have you told? Just told DH yesterday! And DS although i’m not sure how much he understands. He says “no” when we ask if he wants a baby brother or sister.

Hi @cyoung:! Ooh team yellow, how exciting! Did you do that for either of your first pregnancies? If I had a 3rd I think I’d do that too, but since it’s my 2nd I will be finding out ASAP (with the NIPT)!

@starlitsky: yeah my husband thinks I'm gonna cave and will want to find out. My doctors office doent do the blood test, we would have to wait till 20 weeks. I have a feeling it's a boy though. I joke with hubby thst if it's two babies we will find out though. Haha he got a good laugh at that. We know itll be one. We found out for both of my previous babies. We have a boy and a girl so we are happy with whatever.
I have a friend who has guessed the gender of 9 pregnancies and has not been wrong. She has to be around you though. I need to pay her a visit and ask her what she thinks. She guessed my son and my daughter.
clementine / 795 posts
@cyoung: wow what does she base the guess on? Just a general feeling she has? That’s an amazing track record!
Btw I still think it’s amazing that your first 2 are so young and close in age! You are a super mama! I’m nervous about going from 1 to 2 kids!
apricot / 469 posts
@starlitsky: yeah she just gets a feeling! It's pretty neat! And thank you! I dont feel like I am. My house is a wreck with toys right now lol. It can be a lot some days but most the time I love it. My kids are pretty chill and sweet so I think that helps.

@cyoung: That was my caveat to my husband for being team green too! If there was more than one we could find out because that is way too much to go into blind, but otherwise it was easy not knowing. You always have the entertainment of people's horror that you WOULDN'T find out the gender, and just HOW will you have everything you need... blah blah blah
It also made for a lot less opinions because all they could react to was the fact that I was pregnant, none of their gender biases had any ground to dig into if they didn't know.

@Sams Mom: yeah I think my mom wont like the idea about waiting to find out but shell be okay lol

Hi ladies! So excited to be joining!!
Location: Canada
EDD: June 29/19
How far along: 4w2d
First child? No, 3rd.
First doctor appointment: I have a midwife meet and greet on Oct 31 (and another one with a second midwifery group on Nov 22 but if I like this first one I think I’ll cancel the second one)
Any symptoms so far? Super tired, sore boobs, feeling blah, oh and INSOMNIA! Which I think is making me feeling crappier because I’m so tired!
Who have you told? Husband and 3 of my friends (just told my husband haha)
We have a boy and a girl and plan on finding out the sex of this one. Hopefully with the NIPT! My kiddos will all likely be born within 3 weeks. Not ideal but... doesn’t really matter to me! Counting down the days until maternity leave

Man I already have nausea. I think when six weeks hits itll be rough lol. It's worth it though.

I'm nervous ladies. I took a digital last night and it said "not pregnant." I was terrified that I was having a chemical so I took some regular line tests.
My lines are getting darker but they look so light to me. My last pregnancies the lines got super dark quick. The first two were at 3 am and the bottom is at 6 am. I know lines csnt tell you much but I need some reassurance. Do you think everything is okay. I'll be 4 week tomorrow. The lines do look a bit darker in person. My phone takes bad pics.
clementine / 795 posts
@QBbride: yayyy I think I’m one day behind you! I’m curious how our due dates will be adjusted once we have the dating scan... will we be June or July?
@cyoung: my lines felt light to me too, like I felt they should have been darker by now but I think it just takes a bit of time in the early stages when you’re waiting for hcg to double. I ran out of FRER and I’m resisting the temptation to buy more lol. I’m not sure how sensitive the digital test is but maybe you’re just right below the cutoff... I would say try again in a couple days! Is your dr’s office having you come in to do a beta?
AFM I got my 2nd beta yesterday and the number went from 157 to 409 in 2 days so things are looking good so far! but the nurse said they don’t usually do further hcg testing unless there is an issue (potential ectopic etc). I’m still thinking of asking for one more between now and my 11/16 appointment though, for peace of mind.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@cyoung: Step away from the tests. (You might not fully grasp the craziness of that statement), but step away from the tests. You are just now coming up on your missed AF. concentration of hcg varies throughout the day based on hydration level and hold length. Wait a couple days, test with the same brand and go from there.

You are right ladies! I just get more paranoid with each baby. Idk why. I'm just gotta trust that if its ment to be itll happen. I just compare my tests to other ladies I've had zero bleeding or major cramps so I should be fine.
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@cyoung: stop testing!! Plus testing three hours apart is really going to tell you NOTHING. You can’t even compare them because the second one is only a three hour hold etc.
Today, you are pregnant!

Hi ladies, anyone else SUPER tender in the lower abdomen? Like I feel like it hurts to walk standing up straight haha. Feels a lot like when I had appendicitis a few months ago... but I have no appendix now, so it can’t be that
Also, I can’t sleep on my tummy. Last pregnancy I slept like half on my tummy/half on my side until basically right until the end. Is this normal??
@starlitsky: I think my dating scan will put me back a couple days of my “EDD” because I’m pretty confident of when I conceived. But I think if it’s within a few days, they don’t adjust your EDD (at least not here) so I think I will stay with a July 1 EDD regardless of what the dating scan says.
clementine / 795 posts
@QBbride: hmm not super tender yet! is it just on one side or all over?
oh are you basing your EDD of 6/29 on your LMP? if I did that, mine would be way off since my cycle was super long this time!
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@starlitsky: kinda all over. I think it’s just everything stretching out already
Based on LMP (Sept 22), I think my EDD is June 29 which I think is pretty accurate. But I told the midwives that my LMP was Sept 24.
clementine / 795 posts
@QBbride: my LMP was 9/6 🤣 I should have told them 9/23 based on 2 weeks before my suspected actual ovulation.
clementine / 795 posts
@QBbride: I know! I have long cycles anyway but this time it was extra long! I was waiting to ovulate forEVER!
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@starlitsky: apparently your chances of a BFP go WAY up with a late ovulation! So exciting!!
Ugh I’m still having the worst abdominal tenderness I actually saw both midwives I’ve been in contact with today at work but I didn’t say anything since a) nobody at work knows yet (and won’t for awhile hopefully!) and b) I doubt even the midwives knew it was me haha!

I've been having some slight back pain and randomly it feels like my cervix is being stabbed. The tiredness is hitting me fianlly and I feel full super easily especially in the mornings. I'm 4 weeks today and I've officially missed my period. Fingers crossed.
clementine / 795 posts
@QBbride: eek how was your abdominal tenderness today?
@cyoung: yay congrats on hitting 4 weeks! so crazy how symptoms can start so early, right? I’ve definitely been feeling tired earlier at night!
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@cyoung: yay! I feel like it’s always a big milestone when you miss your period... like, the tests were right and this isn’t all in my head 🤣
@starlitsky: still the same, thanks for asking. No better but no worse, so I guess that’s good?!
The ironic thing is I had to put in my first choice for my vacation days next year (so crappy trying to plan your year 1+ year in advance) and I got prime vacation - like 3 weeks in July. And now I won’t be able to use any of it because i’ll Be off on maternity leave 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have a regular doctor's appointment with my OB the 29th. I'm gonna keep it cause I'm gonna confirm with them I'm pregnant. My lines are not that dark. Mind you I did not hold but when I was pregnant with my other two I had dark lines no matter if I had a hold. Idk. Maybe I'm wrong and everything is okay but I'm gonna talk with them anyway.

Who have you told? Just DH. Going to tell my mom and siblings over Christmas when we visit, then work and the world after 20 weeks
Excited to join you ladies! Here's my pee sticks from yesterday and today - feeling good about how my lines are looking so far. I had a chemical last year so FX these lines stay dark this time around.
apricot / 469 posts
I'm pretty sure I'm having a chemical. My test just now looks almost negative. I just gotta wait now.

@bananasareyellow: amazing lines! Yay for baby #3, this will be my third too!
@cyoung: oh no! Can you get in for betas? I know how much agony being in limbo is!
My tenderness seems better today. I think I haven’t been drinking enough water. I drank a big glass before bed yesterday. But now of course I’m thinking disappearing symptoms. I can’t be pleased haha.
pomegranate / 3192 posts
Decided to pee on $10 today 🤣 I had an extra FRER I hadn’t used. I think this is about 19dpo? The test line came up before the control line

@QBbride: beautiful!! Yay for baby #3! How old are your other two?
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@bananasareyellow: they’re 3 (will be 4 on July 8) and 5 (will be 6 on June 13) and this babe is due June 29! All the birthdays in like 3 weeks 🤣
How old are yours??
cherry / 146 posts
@QBbride: 3 and 4.5- mine are both winter babies - I'm excited to have a summer baby this time! I spent my entire last maternity cooped up in the house in the dead of a horrendous New England winter! I'm also excited to have bigger spacing between babies this time around - my first 2 are 20 months apart which was hard! My youngest will be 3.5 when this one comes which sound much more doable.
pomegranate / 3192 posts
Yes! I loved having mine two years apart but it’s been a couple years of chaos and the first year was a blur! This time I think it will be nice to have a 6yo and 4yo plus a newborn. My 4yo will start kindergarten in september 2020, so I can get her settled into kindergarten and it will be like my first glorious maternity leave with only one child during the day! (I can take an 18m maternity leave this time!)
pomegranate / 3192 posts
I can start the due date list, but I don’t know if I can commit to keeping it up all the time haha! Maybe whoever wants to can update it if there are changes to be made?
July 2019 Mamas
