Woo! We just scheduled an elective u/s for Feb 1st to find out gender at 16w! FX they will be able to tell us!

I'm not sure when we'll have our anatomy scan -- our next appt. is the 31st so hopefully they'll let us know then!

ohh that's great! @runnerd: i wonder if there is a place like that around us (northern nj) i have an appt with my OB this friday, but her machines are so blurry compared to the hospital i doubt she'd even see anything if it was obvious. and i am DYING TO KNOW NOW!!

We have a place by us that does elective u/s and the gender scan is only $65 and can be done as early as like 15 weeks. Our OB only does an u/s at the first appt and all other u/s are through a designated u/s place located in the same building as the OB. Our gender scan isn't scheduled until 20 weeks and I was debating doing the elective, but I think I've talked myself into waiting.

Oh the debate to find out or not! With our first, we told everyone we were waiting to find out but secretly found out at the 20 week u/s
We are sneaky. (And we wanted to get a bunch of gender-neutral stuff and knew that once the sex was out of the bag, we would be covered in pink dolls or blue trucks!)
This time around I think we're going to find out and actually tell people.
I think: boy (this pregnancy is SO different from my last which was a girl)
Husband thinks: girl
Most family thinks: boy (except my 4 year old nephew who said dog

Chinese prediction chart: girlMy 20 week u/s is 2/21, so still a ways off.
As for names, we honestly haven't really even gone there yet.
We used up our girl name with my daughter and a close family member ended up by chance using our boy name, so we are starting out fresh this time! I like Javier for a boy and used to love Sofia for a girl, but it's so popular. -
Our gender scan is officially set for February 25th!! It feels like foreverrrrrr.

I'm looking forward to finding out the gender but we won't find out until mid-march when we have our anatomy scan.
I did the Chinese gender predictor and it said GIRL but I think it will be a BOY. I'd be totally happy either way since it's our first. Ultimately I'd like to have one of each, so there'll be a bit more pressure on no 2 but if we can have two healthy babies I'll feel very happy either way. Although secretly I would want at least one girl.

We find out the gender of baby on the 13th at our anatomy scan. We had an US last Friday and the midwife checked out what was between the legs (and wouldn't tell us because she didn't want to be wrong) but it sure looked totally different from my son so I think we will be finding out it's a girl! We don't care at all -- can't wait for the gender to be confirmed either way!

I had a dream last week that the u/s tech said boy but when LO was born we had a girl! Not sure I'll believe the u/s either way now

We randomly decided to get an elective u/s yesterday and found out #2 is another boy! It was awesome to see the little guy flipping around and to see/ hear his heartbeat! We are thrilled that DS will have a little brother... feeling very blessed.

The hard part will now be coming up with a name! We had a girl's name picked out, but we're having trouble with boys names.

Lots of boys! I'm due at the end of July so I still have exactly 17 days until my anatomy scan (but who's counting?)

@runnerd: pretty even! It will be interesting to see if that trend continues. Last year was the year of the boy - at least in my world. Out of 8 friends/relatives, all 8 of us had boys!
So excited to find out what everyone else is having.
