Are you team green? (or Team Blue/Pink once you have the gender scan!)
Any prediction on gender based on old wives tales or Chinese Gender Prediction Calendar (http://www.babycenter.com/chinese-gender-predictor)?

We are finding out the gender Feb 21st! Hoping for a boy, but DH and family think it's a girl. Chinese Gender Prediction says girl too!

I would be fine being team green but DH is SO EXCITED to find out the gender in February. I'll be 20 weeks right around his birthday so we're going to have a joint birthday celebration/gender reveal party.
I think: Girl
DH thinks: Girl
Chinese Gender predictor says: Boy
Friends/family consensus: Boy
Heartrate predictor: Girl

I love these. We have zero gender bias for our first so we'll be so happy either way

We don't have a date yet when we find out gender, but anatomy scan should be around March 1st at 20 weeks.
I have a scan on 1/23 2 days before 15 weeks so I'm crossing my fingers and toes that the u/s tech will feel comfortable making an early prediction then.
If pressed, we lean toward wanting a girl, but we really don't care either way (before my m/c I would have had some gender disappointment over a boy)!! Our gut tells us boy, and so does chinese gender predictor. Funny enough, my doctor asked me if I had done the chinese predictor and said it had a 85% accuracy rate - wasn't expecting my doc to comment on that lol

@thismustbetheplace: Oh yay! Yeah I would be ok with team green too but DH is sooo excited to find out gender! According to the Baby BPM/heart-rate predictor we are having a boy, so who knows!

We find out February 25th. Chinese gender predictor says girl. I don't mind either way! Although, we are set on a girls name (Nora) and not on a boys name.

We are also set on a girls name (Mariella) and have a few contenders for boy names (Miles, Adrian, Gabriel). I also really like Cruz and Leo but DH isn't loving them. Other girls names I liked (maybe for LO #2, etc) are Isabel and Amelia (I'm totally already assuming LO#1 is a girl!).

If it's a girl, it will def be Olivia or Sydney (Olivia is play on a family surname, and Sidney was my grandad's name)
For a boy, we suck at thinking of names!!! We feel pretty so so toward most names, the top 3 that we agree on are Max, Finley, and Grayson

We are Team Green!!! We have the anatomy scan set for February 13th but we are not going to find out. So far, we have figured out a boy name. My husband is insisting on the family name, so if it is a boy, it will be Robert. We have not even come close to figuring out a girl's name. DH keeps vetoing everything that I like!

I can't believe I haven't done the Chinese Gender Prediction Calendar--it says I'm having a girl. Woo hoo! We all think this one is going to be a girl.

I think boy due to DH's family are all predominantly boys! Both of us really don't care. My mom is so convinced we are having a girl she bought me little pink baby socks for Christmas! She and DH have a bet of one yen (one cent) as to the gender High rollers they are

Boy: William (after DH's late father)
Girl: Emi (short for Emiko, Japanese girl's name meaning blessings of beauty - or something like that).
Our 20 wk scan is set for Feb 18 (I think!).

We don't have a date for finding out the gender yet, but it should be around February 14-27th. The u/s tech guessed girl at our last scan, and every old wives tale for predicting agrees except the Chinese one. Both of us want to know so badly I can't imagine being team green. Terrible will power over here.
For names, we are basically set on both. For a girl, it would be Eliza Delaney, and for a boy it would be Jonathan Isaac.
Neither of us really have a huge preference, we mostly just want to know!

@runnerd thank you! We had the hardest couple months figuring that one out, and it was stressful- thinking about what this little person will be called forever suddenly seems like a huge deal when it's not just theorizing anymore. Once we said Eliza out loud, all that stress just vanished. I KNOW this baby is my Ellie =)
I really love both your girl names as well! Also, Max is an adorable boys name.

my anatomy scan should be the last week of feb/1st week of march and cannot wait!! need to be able to start planning already!!
for a girl we like either Alice Emilia or Ava Emilia, for boy Jack Francis

We are Team Green! I've always wanted it to be a surprise and DH always wanted to find out (he decided YEARS before I was pregnant). Not sure what happened, but something changed for him in the last few weeks and he is now happy to wait until the delivery room. Chinese predictor says boy-I think heartbeat (at 10w1d) says girl? So who knows...
As for names, I am on Nameberry everyday and my lists are OOC. So my faves change all the time, but right now front runners include: Dahlia, Libby (Elizabeth), Aimee, and Aubrey for girls, and Nathan, Samuel, and Benjamin for boys.

@runnerd: Oooh elective u/s! Our friends found out the gender at 18 weeks but that's just because of when their appt was scheduled. Ours isn't until 20w2d! Just found a place near us that will do gender determination as soon as 14 weeks for only $65 -- tempting! I didn't think I'd be eager to find out the gender, but for some reason I totally am now!

We don't have our anatomy scan scheduled yet, but it should be around the last week of February or first week of March. It cannot get here quickly enough -- I'm dying to know!! I've wanted a little girl for as long as I can remember, but wouldn't be at all disappointed if it's a boy.

Basically, I'll be surprised if it's a girl! We aren't going to decide on one name ahead of time, but just try to narrow it down to a few. Right now, we like Jude and August for a boy (and I LOVE Rudy, but DH hates it) and Georgia, Antonia, and Jude (again) for a girl. Baby will probably arrive and we'll choose something completely different though! We have a tendency to change our minds at the last second

@runnerd: @NorCalWayfarer: Another vote for boys names are WAY harder than girl names!
We don't have an appointment for 20 weeks yet because I'll be switching docs. Been hoping for a girl for a long time but the further into my pregnancy I go the more I'm just like, whatever we are blessed with will be amazing!
And definitely doing a gender-reveal party even if the hubby thinks they are kinda silly. It'll be mostly family in attendance though.

@lauraeabel: That's how we felt when we picked our girl baby name. Complete assurance that this is IT. And even if we don't have a girl first I know we'll have her eventually.

@NorCalWayfarer: yea the place we went to at 11wk for elective scan will do gender scans at 15wk, so we are really tempted to go at 16wks!! of course I'm still holding out hope that the tech will have a good guess at my 14w5d scan

I do have an idea for the gender reveal but it's kind of hard to explain. I want to have my cousins wear blue t-shirts if they are a boy, pink if they're a girl. They'd line up in a row in front of the other guests and then someone pull names out of a hat and ask them to sit down one by one as their name was called until the last person standing is wearing the traditional color of that sex. And then someone can bring out balloons and we'll be all, yep, it's a ______! Just wanted to think of something a little suspenseful and unique, we'll see if it ends up happening!
