Oh, I forgot to add, when I told my coworker (who is an exercise physiologist) that I was pregnant, she said, "Oh my gosh, I just thought maybe you hadn't been exercising as much." Whaaat?! Yikes!

@78h2o: Ugh that is awful. The bloat is a really fun thing. It'll be nice when it feels like there is a baby there instead of like water retention or something.

This board is on fire! Welcome ladies, so so excited for everyone! I'll update the list this evening after work!

Location: North Carolina
EDD: June 13th
How far along: 4 weeks
First child? Yes and first grandchild on both sides.
First doctor appointment: Oct 20th at 6 weeks with the prenatal nurse and Nov 4th will be the first ultrasound appt with the dr
Any symptoms so far? No other than being super emotional Friday.
Who have you told? DH and my best friend. We will probably hold off telling his parents until later on because his dad will be too excited and might accidentally spill the beans to the whole family. It is hard keeping it from them because we are so close to them.

I wasn't going to join quite yet (the March boards were especially painful after my loss), but I decided this pregnancy deserves hope! So here I am...
Location: Montana
EDD: June 19th
How far along: 3+ weeks
First child? No, DS is 22 months
First doctor appointment: Ultrasound and appt Nov 4. It's at 7 weeks. My OB usually doesn't see you until 8, but offered the 7-week ultrasound after my loss.
Any symptoms so far? Exhausted and super emotional.
Who have you told? DH and a good friend. Debating on whether or not I should tell my mom, who I work with/for. I still would have told her about my loss, but I feel like it would have been easier for her to only know after the fact.

@Jess1483: Hugs! I like your attitude.
Hi ladies, I confirmed this weekend's faint BFP with a digital test this morning so I'll join.
Location: California
EDD: June 15th
How far along: 4 weeks?
First child? Second
First doctor appointment: TBD
Any symptoms so far? No horrendous PMS, days of nausea and feeling pregnant like every other month.
Who have you told? DH & a co-worker thinks she has me figured out. She is too damn good. She dreamt I was pregnant with #1 and was right.
Age of 1st LO: 19 months, girl
What is your fave thing about them: She's so friendly
Anything you are working on before LO2 comes: We just started potty training prior to the BFP, I hope we get that done before LO2

I missed these questions the first time:
Age of 1st LO: 22 months, boy
What is your fave thing about them: He is stinkin' hilarious. He cracks me up all the time. And he's snuggly.
Anything you are working on before LO2 comes: We just transitioned to a big boy bed. In an ideal world, I'd have him potty trained, but he has thus far shown no interest, and maybe some fear, so we aren't going to push it.

Ugh, I spilled the secret already! My dad, husband, and I were supposed to go on an off-roading Jeep tour this Friday and Dad asked about it. I tried to brush it off, said we changed plans and found something better, etc. Later on, he brought it up again, asking why we couldn't go and then saying he really wanted to. I try to avoid the topic, and then he said, "You're pregnant, aren't you?!" ..... and I couldn't say no! He was excited. So then we called mom, and asked for "Grandma".... she thought we had the wrong number, hilariously. She was excited once she figured it out. They say they'll keep it a secret from the rest of the family, but..... we'll see Hopefully!

@DesertDreams88: I think it is really hard to keep that kind of information from your parents. Even after two m/c's, I still tell my parents everytime.
How is everyone's symptoms doing? I feel like there are days where the symptoms are terrible and then other days I feel really great and not pregnant at all.

@Eko: I'm super nauseous right now. I spent most of yesterday on the toilet with diarrhea (TMI). I'm hoping that it's just a bug. I emailed my doctor this morning about it. I'd love to use Imodium, not sure I can. Either way, my morning sickness has hit me hard the past couple of days.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@cascademom: That sounds super not fun. Something to look forward to in a couple weeks. Maybe I should not be so worried that I have close to zero symptoms today.
coconut / 8861 posts
@Eko: This pregnancy plus a possible bug has hit harder than my last pregnancy. I remember not feeling well with my LO. This just feels so much worse or I just don't remember my morning sickness. I'm about to head to Walgreens for Gatorade and maybe donuts, hoping that they don't go through me.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@cascademom: One time I got a terrible bug for two weeks and I could only survive off of fruit smoothies and croissants. Sorry you are feeling so crummy.
coconut / 8861 posts
@Eko: I'm hoping that it doesn't last that long. We hung out with a friend that was sick on Monday. It started soon after she left, so it could be that. I'm glad that I took yesterday off to work it out a bit. When I felt empty, it brought the morning sickness back. It's like I couldn't win either way. I'm hoping that my doctor can help a bit. I would love to be at home today, but that's not happening.

@cascademom: I'm so sorry that you are feeling sick!! I hope it's just a bug, and it passes quickly
My nausea comes and goes, it's mostly in the mornings for me, like right when I get up even before I'm out of bed. But then it normally subsides as soon as I start eating something. Overall I'm feeling good though! Just a little bloated still, I hate to say it but my work pants are starting to feel a little tight. I'm hoping it's still from this obnoxious bloat!
I found a lot of maternity clothes on Craigslist, and I'm meeting the lady next week for them. She's selling everything super cheap...like $5/pair of pants! I'm pretty excited!

No MS yet. Just cramping from what Google tells me is my uterus expanding, and back pain from having an inverted uterus. I'm always hungry though. Everything I've read said you're not eating for two yet in the first tri so I'm trying to drink more water and snack on fruit. Although i had 5 mini hersheys yesterday, and it was glorious. Whoops!

@Eko: Not much in way of symptoms yet but I'm not quite as far along as some of you. I agree though - sometimes I just don't feel pregnant. Is it bad that I kind of want some symptoms so that I feel pregnant?
coconut / 8861 posts
@Mrs.KMM: Totally normal to want symptoms at first. I did with my last pregnancy and this one. Morning sickness isn't fun, but it's great for reassurance.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@Mrs.KMM: I feel that way whenever I have days that I don't feel pregnant. Then there are some days where symptoms crop up and I regret not feeling fortunate on my good days. haha.

So totally random but I dreamed last night that I'm having twins. I don't really know why since twins don't run in my side of the family at all (they do run in DH's but that shouldn't increase our odds). It is probably related to the fact that good family friends of ours just had twin boys after struggling with infertility so I've been seeing their pictures all over Facebook for the last few weeks (they're adorable!).

@Jess1483: Yay! I am so happy to be sharing a due date board with you once again, friend! I hope you are doing well.
@DesertDreams88: @TarHeelBee: @Corduroy:
@Mrs.KMM: @hocuspocus: A belated welcome and congratulations!
@dc yoga bee: thanks for updating the list!
@cascademom: yuck, I hope you feel better and are able to take something. Being pregnant and sick is the worst! My DH has a horrible cold (and of course he's being totally dramatic about it), and I'm worried I'm getting it too! My throat is scratchy and I'm getting congested. Hopefully I won't get it as bad as him though. I'm willing it away and taking EmergenC (hopefully it's ok!). I have family coming into town on Friday and I've taken off work next week to hang out with them.
@MrsBrewer: That's awesome you found some inexpensive maternity clothes. Hope they work out for you!
@Mrs.KMM: As soon as you get symptoms (at least nausea), I think you will regret wishing for them! But I know what you mean!
I am feeling okay, just nauseous 24-7 and super tired. I haven't thrown up since Monday, so I do think the unisom/b6 is helping. At this point with my first 2 pregnancies, I was throwing up ~5x/day. I am super bloated. I totally look pregnant, to the point that I have to hold files over my lap at work to cover it. I showed really early with Julia and was able to feel her kicks super early. The docs also all commented that it was really easy to feel her when they palpated my stomach later in pregnancy. That makes me think my uterus must be really forward in my belly and/or I don't have very thick stomach muscles, lol! I took a pic for my Belly Book on Monday @ 6 weeks and I look 12 weeks!

@78h2o: Share the picture!! I loooove bump photos!
Only if you want to though of course!

@78h2o: Oh I know I am asking for trouble wanting symptoms! It is just weird when you don't feel pregnant but know in you head that you are.

@MrsBrewer: but do you love bloat bump photos?! Isn't this ridiculous?!
Ok, I forgot to say, thanks for the compliment on Julia's name. It's a great name, I hope it stays on your list!

@78h2o: Hey! There's a baby in there, so technically it is a bump photo!

@78h2o: love it!! I lost 15 lbs prior to my bfp this month and my tummy was flat. If I showed y'all my 5 week bloat, you'd swear I was 8 months!
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@MrsBrewer: @dc yoga bee: @Mrs.KMM: I'd love twins, but they don't run in my family The only thing I have going for me in the twins department is my age.
@Mrs.KMM: I can imagine that would be really weird. With every pregnancy, I've had nausea from the get go, so I have no experience with that! I could never be one of those, "I didn't know I was pregnant people," though I am jealous of them!
grapefruit / 4361 posts
@78H2O: Cute! Since you mentioned work, is there a specific timeline you have in mind for telling people at work / your boss? Also, I love the name Julia, too Juliana Ruby is our top girls name.

@dc yoga bee: That's awesome about your weight loss! I want to see your bloat bump now!
I can't say my stomach was perfectly flat, but it definitely didn't look like that! The bloat is out of control!!!
grapefruit / 4355 posts
@dc yoga bee: and @78h2o: I have some bloat but it doesn't look like a bump at all. But I have some khaki pants that A) are a little big and B) have a stretchy waistband so I've been wearing those because my jeans are so tight.

@DesertDreams88: aww, that's a beautiful name! Well, I work in a tiny office of 6 people and I've told 2 coworkers/friends. I will probably tell my boss and other coworker after my NT scan, unless it's obvious before then. Last time around, he knew really early on because I'd just had a miscarriage and had been given lifting restrictions due to spotting. I haul a bunch of patients' charts and other equipment to a different office on Mondays, so I had to ask him for help with that. He had known about my miscarriage because for awhile they thought it might be ectopic and I kept having to leave work for blood draws/scans. He's a doctor, so it's easier to tell him about that kind of stuff anyway. I still want to wait until 12-13 weeks this time if I can.
grapefruit / 4355 posts
@DesertDreams88: I feel like I'm going to need to tell work sooner rather than later. I work in an academic research lab so I suspect that there may be things that I shouldn't be working with while pregnant. I'm going to call the university Environmental Health & Safety Office over lunch and see what they can tell me.
Plus, our lab is really small (me, the professor and one other girl) so if there is anything I can't do, there is only so much shifting around that can be done.
coconut / 8861 posts
@DesertDreams88: I'll probably tell my boss around 13-14 weeks if all goes well with this pregnancy. I told him after I had my NT scan, that day. He already suspected that I was pregnant when I threw up at my desk. We've told my parents (when I was spotting, I told my mom, then she told my dad) and two friends. I think we're telling my inlaws soon since my parents already know. All of this before having my first appt. I'm afraid to jinx this pregnancy and have something happen.
