    @brownepiano: @MMcAlli: 6 months for me is tomorrow! So exciting!! Also can't believe the 3rd trimester is just around the corner (starting at 27 or 28 weeks I think?)! I still don't think I look obviously pregnant but I'm waiting to pop any day now lol.

    My boobs have definitely grown! I ordered the Kindred Bravely nursing bras from Amazon to sleep in and they're super soft and comfy. I haven't had any leaking but have experienced some crusty stuff lol.

    @MMcAlli: Chug. It 's like a regular water bottle size, maybe a little less. Like 10 oz?

    @starlitsky: 3rd tri is so soon!!

    How are symptoms? How is shopping? How is everything?

    getting the faintest linea nigra--under the belly button only (last time it was the whole belly)--we'll what happens with more time

    DH and his mom and SIL helped stage a surprise reveal. It was pretty lovely. (jumbotron at a college sports game, pink cotton candy, roses)

    @MMcAlli: haha

    @pastemoo: That's funny - I noticed a super faint line starting last night too! JUMBOTRON! How cool!!!!

    My babies are starting to get more active during the day!! I have been able to show some of my friends at work their kicks without having to try so hard (aka sit still and eat something sweet like fruit...) This morning one baby started going bezerk as I was eating my breakfast....I started asking it nicely to calm down and realized how silly I must have sounded

    @pastemoo: oh a girl! Yay

    I'm feeling lots of movement. I have like runners cramp kind of pain happening right now. Ugh. Google is telling me it's normal. It's annoying though! I had horrible Braxton hicks today and realized I had barely had any water today. So I chugged so much and feel a lot better.

    Hope everyone is feeling good

    22 weeks 5 days.

    @MrsKRB: yup! Just found out!
    @meadow: totally adorable
    @Mrs. Champagne: same, Braxton hicks and calf cramps, and pelvic cramps, blargh

    nectarine / 2465 posts

    @Mrs. Champagne: I've had those same runners-cramps. My doctor said they're braxton hicks, but I think it's more stretching.

    @pastemoo: same with the pelvic and calf cramps!

    @starlitsky: Yay for 6 months mark! I totally feel like I look my full 6 months. haha. My third trimester (according to my pregnancy calendar) starts March 11, I will be 27 weeks that day. I have to find me some new bras. I'm trying to put it off as long as I can since everyone says the boobs just keep growing. I've been sleeping without a bra, literally as soon as I walk in my house my bra comes off. Freeing those babies never felt so good.

    @pastemoo: Congratulations on GIRL! YAY! So did your husband slip or did you finally decide to just let him tell you? Those little dinosaur headbands will definitely work now. :)) Also, were you feeling girl or boy? Were your feelings right?

    @Mrs. Champagne: @MrsKRB: Ugh. Sorry you ladies are experiencing cramps, those do not sound fun. What stretches are you ladies doing to help these cramps? I was wanting to start doing some everyday stretches to hopefully help & prevent aches/cramps/etc. ?!

    Our first Birthing Class is tomorrow night. I am a little nervous. I have found I get more nervous about labor & delivery when I watch it on tv or read about it. Being a FTM I have no idea what to expect.... I worry about things going wrong to not being able to handle the pain etc etc. I've never had any types of surgery or broken any bones in life or done anything that might be in comparison to birth (knock on wood) so of course my imagination is running wild. Hoping the class eases my worry & doesn't increase it.

    @MMcAlli: I haven't been doing any stretches, but I really need to. Maybe some prenatal yoga? I just try to sit/lay in comfortable positions, and make sure I'm drinking a lot of water and eating a lot of fruit! My class is on Saturday. I'm surprisingly calm about birth, even though I know it's going to be crazy. I guess just knowing millions of women do it everyday kind of helps.

    cantaloupe / 6146 posts

    @MMcAlli: I had a feeling girl since the beginning. He put it on the jumbotron at a college hockey game, not a slip (thank goodness, I would have been pissed).
    Birth class was fun! We didn't do it for our son but did it this time. I don't think that having been there even helps me. I think I'm more scared this time around even though I "know." Trust yourself--that's the best advice I keep getting given.

    We had our follow-up appointment after our US yesterday! Nameless Nugget is small, 33rd percentile, but doesn't seem to have any other markers for a problem other than size and her SUA... so we're going to keep doing growth scans and see what happens! They don't worry unless she's below 10% and since we expect her to be small anyways (my daughter is itty bitty, I think her measuring ahead was a fluke LOL-- not to mention I still haven't gained anything.... other than a huge bump) I'm trying to just not worry too!

    I've been so darn tired! DD is getting her 2 year molars so she's been sleeping like crap- so I've been getting the third trimester fatigue early-- otherwise, things are about the same.

    Glucose test has to be done this week- as well as 28 week labs so they'll have them at my appointment- I get to do the Jelly Bean test- so no orange yucky drink for me LOL

    @pastemoo: yayyy congrats on the girl! and so exciting about the jumbotron reveal!!

    @MMcAlli: oh wow 3rd trimester is just a week away!

    @meadow: @Mrs. Champagne: yay for more active babies!! mine has been a lot more active in the past few days. I love it!

    @MrsKRB: 6 months today!!

    @Mrs. Pink: glad the scan went well, and good luck on your glucose test! I asked for a growth scan next visit because this past time, they used a really old ultrascan machine that I couldn't see much on.

    @MMcAlli: Good luck at the birthing class!!! I need to sign up for my classes soon......I have been trying to stretch every once in a while (I'm not good at remembering for some reason....)...... Basic things like sitting on the floor with my heels pressed together (like a butterfly) and flapping my knees. Or legs spread in a V and stretching forward and side to side. Then I stand up and bend over and hang my hands toward my feet (and reminisce about a time when I could grab my ankles like no big deal :-p)

    @Mrs. Pink: Glad your LO is doing okay and GL on your GD test! I hope your 2yo will let you get some sleep soon! Teething is no fun

    Had an appointment today. Apparently my little spawnling doesn't like to cooperate during US. Today he held his hands over his head so we didn't get a clear 3d pictures. Which he's done every time they've tried....

    Also found out that our last US wasn't bad, she just was unable to get everything captured she needed to. Today she got a lot more, but apparently they weren't able to get everything they wanted yet again, but they got all the major stuff. Since they said everything looks great and right on schedule they gave us the opportunity to schedule another US or not to. We decided against it as all 4 US we've done everything looks great so we didn't really see the need of doing another one in a month. (Though it be nice to see the little bugger again)

    Did find out he weighs about 1lb 6 ounces! (ha the pound I gained is all his fault!) He also apparently has very long legs....

    I also asked about my color changing areolas and the doc said it was normal, and that our bodies just do weird things.

    And an appointment scheduled for my 1h glucose test on April 1st....

    @RKitty: You must have one very independent thinker in there! That little boy has a mind of his own! Glad everything is going well! GD test on April Fool's day - that could be tricky

    @RKitty: aw, he's shy!

    @RKitty: with DS #1, I only had 3 ultrasounds. I didn't feel like I needed any more. This time (because of my condition) I've had 8 so far. I'm going to continue getting them every 3-4 weeks until delivery to check on baby's growth and my placenta. In some ways it's nice to see the baby so much, but I'd rather the carefree pregnancy I had with my first boy!

    I've read that the areolas get big and dark to help with breastfeeding since newborns can't see very well.

    I imagine my glucose test will be scheduled at my next appointment on the 14. In all honesty, the drink isn't that bad. I really want to pass it, as it would royally suck to have yet another restriction this pregnancy!

    Does anyone have crazy chapped lips? I've been drinking water like crazy, but it doesn't seem to help😢.

  26. Mrs. Pink

    GOLD / kiwi / 605 posts

    @Alba4: yes to chap lips... I've been using so much lip scrub and lip balm!

  27. RKitty

    apricot / 341 posts

    @meadow: @MrsKRB: He is shy! I've attached the best 3d one we've gotten so far.

    @Alba4: Ya if they found something of concern or if they recommended I would do another US, but I've already had more then many women have so I didn't feel the need.

    My areolas lately are normal color in the mornings and dark at night... or stay light for a couple days then dark for a couple days. Never know what I'm going to see when I look down! So I wanted to make sure it was normal to have the constant changes.

    I hope you pass your glucose test too! Nobody needs more things to worry about during pregnancy!

    @starlitsky: Thanks!
    @meadow: good ideas on exercise
    @RKitty: Sounds like all good news--and also cute with the shyness. Good luck with the GD test! Adorable 3D pic!
    @Alba4: Isn't it amazing? I had 2 u/s with my son, and now I've had 3, and hoping I don't need any more but we'll see.
    And yes, crazy chapped lips that are constantly cracking and bleeding no matter how much water I drink. I thought I would fail the GD test since I'm so dry... but I passed, so ... weird.
    Feeling pretty bummed out, growing out of all my maternity clothes, feeling fat, blah blah, I hate my self esteem sometimes.

    @Alba4: my lips have been really chapped too! And I keep losing my lipbalms and panicking lol. My skin has also been dry and flaky, whereas usually it's combo.

    @RKitty: aww cute pic of your babe! Mine likes to have his hands up near his face too. For the anatomy scan, I had to go back to get another scan of just his face (to check for cleft palate) because he was hiding it the entire time!

    After my next appointment in a few weeks, I'll be going in every 2 weeks! Is that the case for everyone else too?

  30. meadow

    persimmon / 1272 posts

    @RKitty: cute!!!

    @starlitsky: I have an appointment this Tuesday then switch to 2 weeks thereafter. I think I might be on a 2 week interval with my high risk OB too.

    @Mrs. Pink: I'll agree on the chapped lip front!!

    so funny story- and maybe a tip? I had my highlights retouched today (it's literally been since.. August haha) and they processed INCREDIBLY fast- normally I have to sit under a heater!

    they had to remove some of the foils and wet out the bleach on half my head before the other half was even done!

    @MrsKRB: yes! she's in beauty school (I know brave but she's a good friend) so they're hyper vigilant LOL

    Apparently I'm one hot mama

    which is weird because I'm almost always cold-- must mean all the heat really does go out the top of ones head haha

  38. Mrs. Pink

    GOLD / kiwi / 605 posts

    adding: I think my appointments are once a month until the last month-- however, I have a monthly ultrasound too.

    My next appointment is exactly 2 weeks after the one I just had though... so maybe I'm wrong? With DD I think it was only once a week until the tail end

  39. Mrs. Champagne

    coconut / 8483 posts

    I think my appts switch to every other week around 28-30 weeks and then weekly at 36.

    My next appointment with my family doc is March 18. Then an ultrasound March 22. And then finally get to the OBs on March 29 when I'll be about 27 weeks. Annoying thing is the OBs office is about 45 minutes away. And I'll likely be dragging my 2 year old along for most appointments. 😁

    How's the name hunt going girls?? We are still undecided (if you've seen my recent posts I guess that's obvious!!).

  40. Alba4

    nectarine / 2951 posts

    @Mrs. Champagne: We're totally undecided too! But, I'm ok going to the hospital without a definite name picked out...just some options. I would like to see the baby's face before deciding for sure!
