@MrsKRB: that Thanksgiving announcement is so cute! And thanks for making the list!
@Hazel27: I love all of your ideas! And yay that you told your DH finally. I told mine in a similar way, by actually ordering some stuff (onesie and a book) from Amazon (yay same-day delivery!) and asking if he ordered something lol. He thought it was a recent order he had placed for work but forgot to change the address to his office.
@MCD919: @catomd00: I love that you have LOs you can dress in shirts for the announcement! Please report back how long it takes for your fam to notice!!
@Wishingforviolet: Yay welcome, due date twin!!
@brownepiano: sorry to hear about your friend. One of my friends who had recently gotten pregnant miscarried a few weeks ago and I was torn about whether I should tell her my news. I did end up telling her because I knew she'd want to know, and she was genuinely happy for me but it was still tough!

@pastemoo: haha i wasn't sure which date to put. You can always change it after your dr narrows it down.

Ok, am I the only one literally crying at everything? I know it's a symptom and all, but seriously, this is ridiculous. It's only 7:45 a.m. and I've cried like four times this morning lol. I don't even know what I'm crying about!
nectarine / 2465 posts
@Hazel27: I'm not crying, but I'm definitely emotional/moody at the drop of a hat. Everything is getting under my skin lately!
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
Aww. The crying is so weird isn't it? Hasn't started for me this tome yet, it was crazy last time

I haven't been crying but I have been soooo ragey. Like irrationally angry at my husband all the time. It's kind of awful, hah.
I've been feeling weird this week -- not so many symptoms, a bit more energy, and some cramping. I can't help but feel super anxious about miscarriage. I'm trying to be calm and rational but it's really, really hard.

@MrsDragon: Do you do any writing or journaling? I've noticed it's helped a lot with my fears and whatnot. And, reading the more realistic blog entries I've found so far have helped ease things, too. I don't think we can ever get rid of the looming thought 100%, but if you can find a way to channel the thoughts and help them go away for a while...you know?
@MrsKRB: @pastemoo: The crying is so annoying lol. My husband couldn't help but laugh when I cried for the third time this morning over literally nothing...I just started tearing up looking at Facebook lol! Luckily it doesn't last all day.
blogger / clementine / 985 posts
@Hazel27: I did some anonymous Tumblring during TTC to get it out without making my husband/friends hate me for all of my whining, haha -- lots of grumping in there. I should do some writing now that I am pregnant, though, you're right. I feel a bit anxious about putting it into words (I'm in that 'am I really pregnant or did I make it all up?!' stage) but I think it would help.

First child? No, DS is 15mo
First doctor appointment: I'm not calling until I miss my period.
Any symptoms so far? Sore boobs have started to surface - it's always my first symptom.
Who have you told? Just DH.
I'm scared to death right now, but hoping for the best. I had a miscarriage before DS was born @ 8 weeks, and then I had another 8 week miscarriage back in August. I am going to be sick to my stomach anxious until I get past the 5 week mark with is a good 4.5 weeks!

@runnerd: congrats again and welcome to the june thread!! that's a good line for 10dpo! hoping for a sticky bean for you
nectarine / 2465 posts
@MrsDragon: I hear you, these first couple of months are the worst when is your first ultrasound again? That should help to alleviate some fears.
@runnerd: congrars! Those are some nice lines, mine weren't that dark until 12/13dpo
I've been feeling sort of baggy with an uneasy stomach all day. Is this the start of morning sickness or did I just eat something bad? Haha.
blogger / clementine / 985 posts
@runnerd: Congrats again!!
@MrsKRB: I'm not sure about an US - my first appointment is Nov 6 but it's in-office. Last time I had already had two early scans because I went in for nausea Meds and mentioned cramping/spotting so they sent me for an emergency scan and then another one a few days later to double check the heart rate, and I wasn't sent for any dating US.
I *think* they book a dating scan at some point usually though? We will be declining the usual 12 week testing so it could be a loooong wait.

Funny story since I can't tell anyone else: We bought our first house and DH's coworkers were super excited so they came over right away to see it and brought a bottle of wine as a present. Problem is DH doesn't drink (which they like to give him a hard time about) and I would try it but I am pregnant! So least useful housewarming gift. I guess we'll open it in two years or I'll learn how to cook with wine.

@RUNNERD. Hi! It sounds like we have a very similar TTC history too! I'm happy to be here and just trying to stay positive every day!

@brownepiano: haha, I miss wine!!
I had a dental appointment today and my dentist said I'm having a boy. Apparently if you squeeze your chin from the sides and it pops out it's a boy, if it indents it's a girl. She said she's never been wrong if anyone wants to try it out
nectarine / 2465 posts
@pastemoo: your chin, I guess if it sticks out when you squeeze it, it is a boy. If your chin indents it's a girl.

@MrsKRB: Ok, I totally just went and tried that in the bathroom mirror! lol! Mine indented
apricot / 347 posts
@starlitsky: Thanks!
@Hazel27: Yay for almost due date twins! It's such an exciting time!
@MrsKRB: Thanks! I think I'm confused about the chin thing too. Mine doesn't do anything except the front goes out a bit, so I'm guessing boy? I feel like it's a boy, but we are so we won't find out for a long time!
I got my first appointment date today! It's not until Nov 20th though. They said they don't see anyone until 9 weeks unless you've had complications. Also, I am meeting with a midwife apparently? I just moved to this area a year ago, so I hadn't gotten an Obgyn yet. I just called the local hospital/Obgyn that took my insurance and they got me set up. Do you normally meet with a midwife? It's the biggest hospital for about 30 miles, not a center or anything. I guess I just assumed I would meet with an OB.

Lol so DH and I went out to dinner at a taqueria with our friends tonight. They all guessed immediately when I ordered water instead of my usual margarita. It was pretty funny to see their reactions lol

@Mrs. Peanut: when i had my son, i never saw an OB till I delivered....

How far along: 3 weeks 3 days
First child? No. I have a 2 year old son- also a June baby (though he was due in May)
First doctor appointment: I won't have my first official OB appointment until 12 weeks (that's when they normally see a person for the first time here). But before that I get to have lots of labwork and early ultrasounds due to my history of miscarriages. I had blood work today. hCG of 227.9 and a progesterone of 12.4. I'll go back Sunday or Monday for a repeat hCG.
Any symptoms so far? Strangely no. Nothing I certainly can attribute to pregnancy. With my first three pregnancies, my only early sign was sore boobs. With my fourth pregnancy, I had crazy food aversions and intense nausea as early as 3 weeks, 2 days. So far nothing certain. My bra felt strangely tight yesterday, but no soreness. My back hurts, but I fell down the stairs two days ago. I guess I have been having a little cramping today. Its strange, it almost feels like a little flickering in my uterus. Its actually really weird because I've never felt anything quite like it before.
Who have you told? No one. Well, all of you and I guess my doctor and her nurse, but no one else. I'll probably tell my husband on Monday or so (his grandma's burial is tomorrow so he's a little sad and I don't want to impinge on that. She passed away on the same day as our D&C was back in August). A few close friends of mine have always worried through the whole TWW with me and known right away, so I'm really hoping to surprise them this time! Everyone has stopped asking me about if I'm pregnant or trying to get pregnant. I guess that tends to happen after multiple miscarriages.
@runnerd: @Alba4: due date triplets!
coffee bean / 27 posts
@pastemoo: I was fine with it. I wanted to tell them but I wasn't sure how to do it lol. They've been really good friends of ours for a long time now, so we knew we wanted to tell them quickly. DH had told his friend earlier while at work, so when we all went out to dinner he gave me a secret congrats early on lol. It's pretty relieving to be able to tell someone and not have to hide it. Today I'm going to have to tell my manager at work so she can order me a new uniform jacket. My boobs are already creating problems lol
apricot / 347 posts
@pastemoo: Oh okay. It's my first so I'm not sure how it all works. You didn't meet the doctor until delivery? That sounds a little stressful to me.
nectarine / 2951 posts
@Mrs. peanut :
I go to a practice that has 2 OBGYNs and 2 midwives. You make appointments with everyone because anyone can end of delivering your baby, and they want you to get to know everyone.
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
@Mrs. Peanut: military health. if your pregnancy is normal, an NP can follow you the entire time. delivery is nothing like you expect, i doubt i would have recognized my own doctor if i has one. haha.@Alba4: this is more normal for non military health
@Hazel27: oh good!
