@Beanie132: I have seen a ton of Feb announcements on my timeline already, and even a March announcement! So I don't think it's too early, if you're ready for it.

@Iced Tea: @mrs. tictactoe: I'm glad I'm not crazy and I can consider it really feeling the baby! It's so wild to think about!

@Jruess: excellent! I'm glad the baby is ok. Are you still bleeding?

@mrs. tictactoe: I felt the same way -- so many people knew beforehand! I think that's why I'm glad it's all open now.

@Jruess: SO happy to hear that!!

@Jruess: The last time I was pregnant I totally forgot about Halloween, so I made a super easy "costume." (I was 19 weeks at the time) I got an orange maternity shirt and used black duct tape to make a jack-o-lantern. Because I'm lazy and because it'll still be hot in GA in October, I'm going to do the same thing (but possibly buy a shirt this time...maybe). I also bought my daughter a little pumpkin outfit, which is kinda cute since we actually put her in an actual pumpkin last year.

@Circusbee: I've had round ligament pain since 5 weeks! It's usually an unexpected stretching pain that happens when I got to turn over in bed or sit up from a slightly twisted position. It's always a bit of a shock! But it only lasts a second or two.

I remember what I was going to say earlier!! Are any of you experiencing braxton hicks yet? Am I crazy that I feel like I may be having some this early (almost 16 weeks). I need to look it up, and it's definitely at the top of my list to ask my doctor. I just feel, what feels like contractions (gets super duper "tight"), but really, really low (like under my belly button). It's the only thing I can think of. I didn't feel them until my third tri with my first, but since things are already happening much faster this time around, I'm sure it could be possible? I've only felt it once or twice over the span of a few days, so it's not a constant feeling or anything!

edit: maybe i'm crazy and it's just the baby wiggling around down there or something!

    kiwi / 536 posts

@Mrs. Rabbit: No experience, just wanted to say that I read it's completely possible! Apparently the uterus does a lot of contracting from like 7 weeks on that we mostly don't feel, so it seems quite plausible that you're just a lucky one that feels it super early!

@Jruess: the silver lining of the scary was all the extra ultrasounds! I saw lo weekly for most of my second tri glad all is okay!! Did your doc put you on bedrest?

  11. Jruess

    grape / 80 posts

@swedishfish: just spotting at this point, thank goodness.

@Mrs. Lion: that is definitely a wonderful silver lining! It amazes me how real the baby's movements are at this point. We could watch him/her stretch, kick, etc. No bed rest, just instructed to take it easy.

    Thanks for the support today!

@Mrs. Rabbit: love the pics! Your DD is adorable! My siblings & i all had our turn as a pumpkin. Maybe I need to pass that experience on to my daughter.

@Jruess: So thankful that everything looks good!

@Mrs. Rabbit: Your daughter is so precious! I was thinking I would do the same thing for Halloween as you did before - an orange shirt with a jack-o-lantern face! I love it.

I feel like I've missed a lot in a few days!

@loopedd: so sorry to hear you are worried about your mom moving closer. that sounds tough so stressful! Yay for going public on FB! We just did tonight, so exciting for it to not be a secret anymore

@MrsB2012: Sorry to hear about all of your pain - that sounds terrible! You're a tough mama for working through all of that!

@Jruess: So glad you got good news!

@Mrs. Rabbit: That is so cute!!

@Kbee: Thanks for the support! A couple of days' distance have me feeling a bit better. Trying not to worry about something I have no control over at the moment. There's enough to worry about! Congrats on going public! Such a relief

@mrs. tictactoe: @loopedd: @HeartAbandoned: he is more than ready to post. we have an amazing video we staged as a photo of us telling our parents and them absolutely freaking out so I was thinkin of posting it on Tuesday as "the best birthday gift i have been blessed with..." i am overthinking this I know. It just feels so much more real once that bridge has been crossed, which i'm ready for but also nervous for.

@Beanie132: I totally understand. I keep thinking, since going public, what if something bad happens now?! But I kinda just have to let go at some point. Your idea is ADORABLE... is Tuesday your bday??

  19. Mrs. Rabbit

    blogger / clementine / 750 posts

@HeartAbandoned: seriously, such an easy DIY shirt. I literally made it in about 15 minutes. I looked on Etsy and some are selling for $20+, so I'm pretty sure I'm just going to dig out the duct tape again

  20. Aria

@Beanie132: Your video sounds awesome! I love seeing reactions to baby news. My parents had such a great reaction and now I'm so sad I wasn't able to capture it on video. I know it can be intimidating to post on Facebook, but that goes away once you see how excited people are for you.

So, of course, I felt the baby move a lot and now, the last two days, I haven't felt it at all. I can't help but worry. Can't wait for my NT scan on Tuesday.

    kiwi / 536 posts

@mrs. tictactoe: So sorry you're worried Hopefully you'll feel the baby again well before the NT appt!

I'm so excited... word about my pregnancy is getting around my office and it turns out there's a lady on my floor (only 8 of us total) that's pregnant with her first and due Feb 15, four days before me! Thrilled to have a buddy

  23. mrs. tictactoe

    blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts

@loopedd: that's awesome! One of my best friends is due the same exact day as I am and another good friend is due two days before. It's so fun!!

  24. marzipan

    grape / 87 posts

@Mrs. Rabbit: I have what I think are similar sensations, but I associate it with uterus stretching. Could you be feeling that?

@mrs. tictactoe: don't worry! I've read that this early, it's possible to feel the baby move for a day or two, but then not feel again for days/weeks (till it gets a bit tighter in there and the baby is stronger). I've had the same experiences this time around.

  25. Mrs. Rabbit

    blogger / clementine / 750 posts

@marzipan: Possibly?! It definitely feels like tightening, but perhaps stretching has a similar sensation?! Pregnancy is weird, man!

@Mrs. Rabbit: pregnancy is TOTALLY weird!!

@mrs. tictactoe: Oh that's adorable, your babe has built-in best friends!

Happy Friday everybody! Anything good going on this weekend? I have some friends coming over tonight and our house is getting a good top-to-bottom scrubbing tomorrow... lame as that is, I am VERY excited for things to be clean. It's a mess now!

  29. Mrs. Lion

    blogger / grapefruit / 4836 posts

@loopedd: i have a mental list of all the things i want to do in the second trimester when i am feeling better still not there. But our house is still in renovation mode so there isn't much i can do until that is over.

  30. Circusbee

    apricot / 390 posts

@loopedd: My house is also a mess but I'm still having a tough time cleaning dishes and being too active without gagging/dry heaving... I hope hope hope it's over soon because my house really needs some help!

I broke out the maternity pants for work today for the first time! It's actually not working very well, haha! I don't fill them out quite enough to be super comfortable while moving around, but they sure feeling nice when I'm sitting If not for desperately also needing to do laundry, I'd probably still be in regular jeans with a belly band...

  31. loopedd

    kiwi / 536 posts

@Mrs. Lion: Ugh I am so sorry that you're still feeling badly You have not had an easy time of it. How much renovating is happening? When is it scheduled to be complete??

@Circusbee: Before this I never would have thought that doing chores could actually make us sick. Pregnancy is so bizarre! And I'm in a weird clothing place too. I cobbled together a strange outfit today and I'm hoping no one notices!

  32. Circusbee

    apricot / 390 posts

@loopedd: Right? I don't even want to talk about what I wore yesterday... it's getting pretty dire. I can't wait to have a "real" bump that I can start wearing tighter clothes again with a cute belt above it!

  33. Kbee

    kiwi / 560 posts

@circusbee: @loopedd: Same here with the clothes! I have 3 dresses that I wore to work last week AND this week...they are all that's comfortable! My work pants are definitely OUT, and I wore jeans one day (even though it's not allowed) because I can still wear them with a hair tie. Ack! I have bought a few maternity items for work, but also can't really fit into them yet. What an awkward stage.

I see myself going shopping for some more maternity clothes this weekend. anyone else?

We stopped at BRU last night and checked out a lot of strollers. My DH is pretty dead set on the City Mini GT. He LOVES it and that is an understatement - he said all the other ones were no good, haha! It's cute to see him so excited about baby stuff!

@loopedd: that's nice to have a pregnant buddy at work! Is it someone you would hang out with outside of work too?

@mrs. tictactoe: wow! that'll be so much fun having babies with your friends! I wish I knew someone having a baby around the same time!

@loopedd: tomorrow is my Monday! So working for the weekend. I don't mind, less management around to be watching over your shoulders haha.

@Kbee: that's nice your DH is excited about baby gear! It's nice when they get involved with things

It's finally cooling off here which I'm so thankful for. I pulled out my maternity jeans and they're so comfy. It's nice to wear something that makes me look more pregnant as opposed to looking like I've just gained weight haha.

We announced at church on Wednesday, so I've been wearing maternity tops in addition to maternity pants the last two days. It's so nice to be able to dress up the bump so it looks like a baby bump and not too many onion rings! I'm self-conscious about how big my belly is, but I'm trying not to worry about it. My weight gain has been on-target so far, and I'm only 5' tall, so I'm telling myself this is the only place the baby has to go!

We have plans to wander Buy Buy Baby at some point this weekend, just to see what there is to see! We're not ready to start a registry just yet, but I'm excited to just look around and start trying to figure some things out! We picked out a new flooring color and a wall color for the nursery today, which feels like a HUGE step. We're putting down hardwood, and we want to paint before the flooring goes in, so we've already made those choices, even though we've got another 5ish weeks until we know the gender!

  37. Circusbee

    apricot / 390 posts

@HeartAbandoned: Oh yeah! You reminded me, we are starting our registry tomorrow, I'm so excited!! I have to admit I have a lot of it planned out already, but I don't think DH has every set foot in a baby store, so it'll be fun to go through it all with him (...before he gets too bored!) I'm a research junkie so I want plenty of time to hem and haw over all the options before people actually start looking for the registry. Is anyone else starting their registries soon?

@Kbee: i just went and bought some stuff at old navy. I was hoping since this baby is so close to when i was pregnant last time i could ise the same clothes but i am showing sooner and it is SO hot here right now. Al my maternity shirts are pants and sweaters. No thank you.

It helps knowing that I wore maternity clothes until lo was like 6 months old, so they will get used next summer too

  39. Mrs. Lion

@loopedd: its slowly getting better, thank goodness! We are adding a bedroom, dining room, and covered deck, and we had to build a hallway through los room to the new bedroom and we took out a wall between the kitchen and living room to open it up. And we are getting new cabinets and counters. Its going to be so awesome but it has been a lot of work and dh so doing a lot of it, so im on my own a lot. It should be done in a couple weeks, thank goodness!

I am ready for cooler temps so we can at least be outside!!

@Kbee: @Circusbee: YES I talk about wanting the "real" bump and my husband is like what are you talking about.... I'm like nice and round and normal instead of whatever is happening now!!

@MrsB2012: I don't think we'd be close outside of work, but you never know! I honestly like sharing the attention with someone, too. So everyone has another growing belly to scrutinize!

@HeartAbandoned: Jealous of your nursery progress! I can't wait to really get going on it.

@Circusbee: I've been researching gear for SO long that I'm embarrassed to say that my registry is pretty much done
