Does anyone else not have many (or really any) symptoms? I'm 6 weeks 3 days now, but really don't feel much different, minus the ridiculous bloating. I've had some very mild nausea but I'm not sure I would have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it. I don't even feel any more tired than usual. I know I should probably just consider myself lucky, but I'm starting to get a little worried that I'm not feeling more!
With my first, I didn't have much in the way of symptoms at 6 weeks either (MS kicked in at 7 weeks), but I know my boobs were really sore by now. At least that was something!

@SeptMomma12: yep exactly with the first I had some symptoms. Right now I've got none, literally had no clue I was pregnant until I tested. I'm 6 weeks today. I'm tired but DS1 decided to be awake from 3-5 last night so no wonder!

@SeptMomma12: My morning sickness kicked in about a week ago and I am totally miserable. I pretty much spend my days suffering through work and spending the whole evening in bed trying not to move. I actually wish I was throwing up because then my nausea would come in waves instead of being a constant, 24 hour thing. I know it could be much worse but it's hard to care as I am now, lol. I was going to try to tough it out until thirteen weeks, but I called my doctor's office and they recommended a b6/unisom regimen. Has anyone else tried this? I googled it but I found some conflicting information.

@kick641: it was working for me for a bit and I just upgraded to diclegis because I want something more for the days I am in the car a lot. I get motion sickness pretty strong this time. Bonus is that I sleep good at night. No need to brave it without meds!

@jetsa: yaaaaaaaay!!!!! I'm so glad you are here my sept13 buddy!
@Ms.Badger: Glad everything is looking good at your US
@blackbird: @jetsa: We totally keep referring to this LO as a boy too, it's just so hard to imagine the other sex when you've only experienced the one..... I totally don't have an instinct as to what I'm having but we'll definitely found out as soon as we can
@Mrs. Sketchbook: yayyy welcome and congrats @SeptMomma12: I don't have alot of symptoms either. I am tired but LO#1 is teething and not sleeping great so I can't really say its a symptom! I am definitely bloated though no ms yet.....
@kick641: I am sorry you are feeling so ill. I had it bad the first time round and it really sucked.... I hope you find something that helps. I was prescribed something but I can't remember the name of it sorry!

@SeptMomma12: Yes exactly this. I think I'm more freaked out than I was the 1st time because I keep waiting for symptoms to happen and they aren't. It was 7 weeks when the food aversions and the nausea hit- it seems really warped that I'm hoping to start feeling sick soon!

@dookie32: I know! By saying that, I pretty much guaranteed I'm going to be sick next week, right?

Hi all! I'm feeling more & more confident this will be a sticky baby, so I think I'm ready to join in. We lost our 1st at 6w in May, so can't wait to pass that point next week. 3 great betas over the last week, though, so that helps build my confidence.
EDD: May 26
How far along: 5 wks today
First child? Yes!
First doctor appointment: Oct 6: 7wk u/s with the RE we didn't end up needing any actual treatments from, after all.
What type of medical professional are you seeing? After I get the "all clear" from the RE, I'll probably go back to the OB I saw after my m/c. I am curious about midwives & doulas, though.
Any symptoms so far? Maybe a little more tired than usual & so hungry! Sore breasts & a little mild nausea.
Who have you told? Only medical professionals: my nurse, acupuncturist & massage therapist, so far. Dying to tell friends & close family, though!

@SeptMomma12: Since 4 weeks, I've had mild nausea at least 2x a day and now it's slowly increasing in frequency. Something inside me tells me it's going to be a girl! With LO1 (boy), I had no morning sickness at all and only sore boobies.
@GoGoSnoGirl: Welcome! My due date is may 26th too! Fx for a sticky baby

@GoGoSnoGirl: Welcome and congrats!
@enjollah: You sound similar to me... I don't remember nausea at all with L and this time, holy cow, like gagging it's so bad so I think it's a girl this time too. Plus, when we got our ultrasound done "I'm just a girl" by No Doubt was playing.... I think it was a sign (that or they play songs with Boy and Girl in the title on repeat at the ultrasound place to make everyone think it's a sign )

@Mrs squirreld: @enjollah: @Ms.Badger: thanks ladies... I do feel like I jinxed myself, though, because this morning after using the bathroom I realized I was bleeding & passed a clot. I cried & begged for this not to be a m/c & called my dh & RE's nurse. She has me taking it easy & I'm to check in again with her this afternoon. I just feel sick to my stomach worried. I'll be continuing to get beta draws since my PCP set up a standing order for them with the m/c last time. Please keep me in your thoughts that this IS a sticky baby.

Hello to all you lovely ladies. Tonight I will be saying goodbye and good luck. This morning I went in for an ultrasound and I have now just returned from having to have our little peanut surgically removed from my right Fallopian tube where it had taken up residency. It seems that pregnancy just wasn't meant for us right now.
We will need to wait about 6 months before trying again.
I will be sending good thoughts for healthy and happy pregnancies for you all.

@Bigskygirl: I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope you can heal physically & emotionally & you get the baby who is meant for you one day.

@blackbird: @SeptMomma12: @jetsa: @Ms.Badger: thank you ladies. The bleeding has slowed to just a little spotting, but I do feel a mild low back ache like I get the day before AF, so I am not reassured yet. I'll be keeping everything crossed that was just a fluke this a.m. I do know others have had bleeding & everything turned out fine, but of course, plenty of others who weren't as fortunate, too. Uggh...
Hoping all's well for the rest of the May mommas out there.

@Bigskygirl: Aww, thanks--and I for you, dear. It is so hard to see how these situations will eventually play out when you're in the middle of it, but I try to believe everything happens for a reason. Take care of you.

@GoGoSnoGirl: Glad to see you over here! Fingers crossed that it's nothing. I'm glad you're still going to be getting beta draws, which will hopefully explain everything for you.
@Bigskygirl: I'm so sorry to hear this. Please take care of yourself.

@Mrs squirreld: My first appointment is on 10/14... Which feels like eternity. Also, would you (or whoever updates next) mind changing the spelling of my name on the list? There's an "a" between the h and the e. Sorry to be picky

@Keppa: @Mrs. Sketchbook: @Mrs. Lovejoy: thank you ladies. I JUST got the latest beta & thank God, it is still rising normally, so with that & the fact I haven't spotted or bled today, I think I can calm down again.
I hate that I assumed the worst & got so upset yesterday, but with one m/c already under my belt, it really was the easiest assumption for me to make. Deep breaths...

@GoGoSnoGirl: Such good news! It's hard to stop worrying but just know that you are doing everything right and take it one day (and sometimes one moment) at a time. Do you have an ultrasound scheduled? It may make you feel better to see babe in there.
pear / 1558 posts
@Ms.Badger: thank you so much. Yes, we already had a 7w u/s scheduled & my RE let me schedule a 6w one yesterday. That'll be Tue morning. I'm hoping we can still do both, b/c DH can't come to the 1st one with me. He's been my rock & yet I know he's so nervous & excited for this to be our sticky baby, finally, too. He should get to check in on baby as soon as possible, too.
blogger / apricot / 427 posts
@GoGoSnoGirl: SO glad to hear this What wonderful news. I hope you're able to keep both u/s appts!
I've had a high anxiety day today, for some reason. I feel like now that I've passed the time of my m/c, I'm now terrified of a mmc. I've been completely busy this week, as we're trying to get our house ready to sell, but for some reason it hit me and I thought about it a lot today.
Still have to wait for another week+ for my 1st u/s. Deep breath.
pear / 1558 posts
@Keppa: I'm sorry you were feeling anxious yesterday. I think it is normal, but it sounds like you have a lot of things going on that can help take your mind off it. Keeping fx this week + goes quickly for you so you can get a look at your little bean & get some reassurance.

Just got back from my first appt and everything looked good Ultrasound showed a healthy little blob and we got to hear the heartbeat. (My 2 year old was with us and said "whoa!") It's measuring a little small for my LMP date, but more on track with when I think I ovulated, so I think my date will probably be pushed back a little. They do another ultrasound at 8 weeks to give an "official" due date, so for now I'll stick to May 16.
The only bummer was that the doctor said I'm not a VBAC candidate because DS was so big (22" and 8lbs 14oz) and got stuck. He said the second will most likely be even bigger and the fact DS couldn't fit through my pelvis makes a VBAC impossible. That's the first I heard of that, so I'm going to do some more research, but I was pretty disappointed to hear it from my doctor.
