@LovelyPlum: thanks for stalking! Hope I have a good update from my scan this morning! If you are cheering me on because I said girl, those are just all of our predictions up above!! Most of us don't know yet! Hope all is well with you

@delight: oh no, I'm cheering you on because BABY We are well over here, just impatient to TTC after my back surgery. Thinking calming thoughts for you this morning.
and
your way!
Will you be again? Or are you thinking you'd rather know this time around?

Well, it looks like I don't have to make a prediction. My doctor called with my NIPT results yesterday, baby is completely low risk and it's a GIRL!!!

@rara0614: wahoo!! congrats on a healthy baby girl!!
@LovelyPlum: thanks for being a cheerleader! I could find out gender today, my genetic counsellor already has those results but DH and I are still on the fence. I loved being TG the first time. We will probably just wait again! Hope you can start TTC soon!!!!

@delight: Good luck with your scan this morning!
@rara0614: Congrats on the healthy girl!! How fast and exciting!!

All looks good at my NT scan. Baby is measuring a few days ahead putting me on Halloween. I'm not going to change my date though! Did not find out gender but my counsellor had a slip of the tongue a couple of times which make me think girl. I think we will be TG though.

@CedarMagnolia: love this! I kind of want a boy(I have a 6 yo girl) but my "prediction' is that it's a girl! I can't wait to find out!!

@delight: congrats on the good scan! TG sounds like so much fun! But the hubster will be deployed for the birth .. If I do get the NT scan I'm hoping they'll share the gender as wel!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@M4mi: I'm not sure if you can tell with the NT scan because it may be too early. My genetic counsellor knows our gender because we did NIPT testing a few weeks ago!

For those who are on their second+ pregnancy... when did you start showing with your first? I've read your uterus doesn't really start moving up until after the 12th week. I find I have a little pouch all of a sudden that wasn't there last week... but I am only not even 10 weeks. Assuming it's just bloating? Ugh! It's hard to suck in.. hope it turns into a proper bump soon!
blogger / apricot / 389 posts
@delight: That's great news! I'm waiting to hear when my scan is in the next week. Did they show you the baby and everything? We were wondering if we would get a picture from this one.
blogger / apricot / 389 posts
@Goldengirl: I definitely noticed a difference by week 10 (this is my first). I mean, it's not up and over, but still pushing things around! I definitely have a bit of a bump now (12 weeks), nothing insane and probably only obvious if you knew I was pregnant, but sucking in is no longer possible! haha
pomelo / 5326 posts
@narwhal: yes I got a few pictures but they're crappy quality. She told me right away there was a heartbeat and then at the end showed me the baby for a few minutes!
blogger / apricot / 389 posts
@delight: excellent! I'm so eager to hear the heart beating again, and also anxious to know when my appt is! I'm trying to plan my week next week!
kiwi / 566 posts
@narwhal: I just pulled my shirt tight around my stomach and there's a definite big bloated belly. I'm fairly slim so I feel like it's really pronounced. I haven't even eaten much today so not sure it's food related. I would show it off if I felt like it was a pregnancy bump, but I'm pretty sure it's just filled with air at this point!
blogger / apricot / 389 posts
@Goldengirl: haha yah, I carry some extra weight so I had a bump before pregnancy, but it's definitely more pronounced now and getting harder! And hey, bloat is still pregnancy related! I say embrace it!
apricot / 441 posts
@Goldengirl: with my first, I started wearing maternity pants and belly bands at 9-10 weeks because of the bloat. I think I noticed a real bump-like growth (not just chub) around week 14. But still that stage where you feel bloated, but it's not obviously pregnancy belly is tough!
This time around I had a little extra on my waist leftover from my toddler, but I don't feel like I've grown as much as I thought I would by 9.5 weeks! But I've also lost four lbs this month, so maybe that's countering the growth.
apricot / 485 posts
@Goldengirl: what a neat photo/ultrasound!!
@CedarMagnolia: I don't know if I have a guess! With my last one I didn't have a feeling at all until about 13 or 14 weeks and then it just appeared. I will say girl for now since I conceived with sperm from 5 days before O and well, that is the only thing I can go with since I don't have a feeling! haha. Might also just be my preference showing!
@rara0614: how awesome! congrats!
@delight: congrats on the good scan!!
@Goldengirl: I was a little bloated 10-12 weeks. I sort of looked like I ate too much and had gained weight around 16weeks. I don't think mine looked like a (small) bump until 20w. I'm tall, I wasn't obviously pregnant to others (versus just got fat) until 25w+. I switched to maternity pants at 15w or so FWIW.

@delight: Congratulations on another great scan Possible Halloween baby is very exciting but you are absolutely NOT ALLOWED to leave the November board!!!
cherry / 106 posts
@CedarMagnolia: I'm guessing boy! I've had a strong gut instinct since I found out but who knows. We won't get to find out until late June/July.
@rara0614: Congrats on your little girl! That's so exciting!
My next appointment is on Monday at 11 weeks exactly. I'm hoping that we'll be able to hear the heartbeat but I know it could be too early. How many of you have heard the heartbeat with the doppler and at what point?
cherry / 116 posts
@teacherbee: With DD we couldn't hear it at 8 weeks, but could at 12 weeks. My first appointment is at 11 weeks this time so I'm hoping we'll hear it then too!
persimmon / 1445 posts
@goldengirl I am 12 weeks with #2 and am in maternity pants already (and have been for a couple weeks). I've lost weight from being super sick, but my tummy is noticeably bigger. I don't have a bump yet though- it just looks like a big blob of pizza. With my first, I was in regular clothes until 20 weeks!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@Goldengirl: I was showing with my first by 15-16 weeks. This time, I am already in maternity pants and if I put on a maternity shirt I look pregnant. I've been trying to hide it though. Now that I've had my scan I'll break out all my clothes.
@CedarMagnolia: I would never leave the November board!! My due date won't be changed by my doctor's office I don't think anyways! Baby is just measuring a little big.
@teacherbee: I hope you can hear the HB at your appointment but don't get too worried if you can't! My family doctor doesn't like to try until closer to 14 weeks so they don't worry people if they can't find it!

I updated the list for the known genders and we've decided to go TG again!
We told DD tonight that she'll be a big sister. When we told her the baby was in my tummy she immediately started lifting up my shirt to look for it. It was super cute.

@CedarMagnolia: my hunch is boy - I already have two and for some reason I just think it is my destiny to be in a crazy house of dudes. That said, my hubby thinks girl so we shall see. Mark me down for boy.

@rara0614: congrats on a healthy baby girl!
@delight: yay for a great NT scan!
@Goldengirl: with my first I felt like I waited and waited to have a visible bump and it maybe started at week 16. With my second it was definitely before 10 weeks that I already looked 16 weeks pregnant with the bloat and i think you're muscles are just was more loose after the first pregnancy. This is my third pregnancy and I'm almost 9 weeks and the bloat is insane. First thing in the morning I look fine but after my first meal it looks out of control...I just wear very slouchy tops
My next appointment is the first week of May (the 5th?). I'm going to a new OB's office bc my OB has left his obstetric practice for an administrative role within the health system. I'm so sad and I didn't really connect with the other docs in his practice so I found someone new. I'm hoping it's a good fit and that I love it bc I know this pregnancy is going to be very hard emotionally for me - there are just too many painful memories and I'm just very worried of something going wrong again. I'm trying so hard to be zen but I know certain things like the anatomy scan will be really hard.
In other news I'm clearing out all of DD1's clothes bc we don't need girl clothes anymore. Makes me a little sad knowing those cute little outfits and dresses won't get used again but I'm looking forward to shopping for some new baby boy things!

@sandy: HOLD. THE. PHONE. I've been stalking the IVF boards like mad looking for you, and here you go tip-toeing into another November board, AND I MISSED IT. Lady, my heart is bursting for you and your little BOY
How are you and B?? Have you told C yet?? Congratulations, lovely lady!!

@LovelyPlum: thank you so much We are just so very excited for the new baby - lots of emotions for sure but overall just so so so so thankful and excited. C is also super excited - she has so many questions about the baby and loves to see how big the baby is on the pregnancy app.

anyone else feeling like they wish they could just be hooked up to an ultrasound machine all the time so they could know WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON IN THERE????
The lack of knowledge is sooooo frustrating.
Also, the chinese gender calendar (so far 100% accurate among my group of friends) says girl =)
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@milag64: gender chart says girl. We shall see. I am looking forward to my appointment Friday.
I am 13 weeks on Wednesday.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@MrsRcCar: looking good mama!
@milag64: Yes I totally wish I could have a portable ultrasound machine. I can't believe I have to wait 6 more weeks until my next one. This stage is so hard. I can't wait until I feel consistent movement. I've felt a few pokes and rolls I think, but nothing consistent enough to make me think that it is for sure baby. With my other pregnancies I didn't feel anything until after 18 weeks so this seems way early. Anyone else feeling anything? I'm just over 13 weeks.
@sandy: if I have to get rid of all my DD's clothes I'll feel so sad. I love all her stuff so much! Oh man if I have a boy I don't know what I'll do with myself
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@sandy: @delight: I will be excited and sad to pack away a lot of my boys clothes if we have a girl. I have some gender neutral things but not a lot. DH is almost 100% done if this ones a girl. I am not sure. I told him I would need time after the baby is here to decide that. It comes from a good place. I am so sick and he worries about me a lot when I am pregnant so I told him one step at a time.

@delight: if I have to get rid of all my girl stuff I'll be bummed. With two girls, I've cultivated quite a wardrobe collection! But...shopping for baby boy stuff would be super fun, so I'm torn!!
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@delight: @MrsRcCar: @PinkElephant: I've been picking through the nicer things and am planning to sell those at a consignment sale. Then donate the rest. I'm hoping to sell a good chunk so I can splurge on some new baby boy stuff! The only gender neutral things I was able to save to possibly pass down to the baby are denim jackets (I have them for every age ) and a pair of puma walking shoes that are white and navy with red accents. That's pretty much it. So sad to see all the adorable dresses go!
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@sandy: I know my SIL will pass me some girl clothes from my niece. All of this assuming we have a girl. If we have another boy I will be replacing some of his pieces with new. I am very attached to a lot of my little bitty baby clothes. Plus I know we will reuse a lot of the wonderful Star Wars and avengers shirts and onesies either way.
