18w3d. I will not be at all surprised if they tell me I'm having twins at my anatomy scan. I am massive and I'm only halfway through.

@pregnantbee: IDK, Mrs. Hopscotch found out at 16 weeks that she was having twins after a bunch of appointments. I'm sure there's just one in there, but when they say that you show sooner and are bigger with subsequent pregnancies, they weren't kidding!

@avivoca: Really re: finding out at 16w. Hmmm. Either way, yes, it's no joke about showing and just being bigger the second time around. At 6 months, I am the same size I was at 8 months last time! And some of the various ailments from the end of pregnancy have hit sooner this time. Wah.

@pregnantbee: I'm already running out of shirts to wear. It's going to be interesting trying to get through this summer without spending an arm and a leg on clothing.

@avivoca: It slows down a little at the end, I think! Last time I was so much bigger up until the 3rd tri then things normalized a little. That said, I outgrew maternity shirts by 30 weeks last time too.

@avivoca: @winniebee: Oy. I'm hoping I start evening out, as I only have 1" clearance on the steering wheel already! Am at 27.5w. Can you buy used at a consignment store? (BTW, sorry to crash your Oct. thread -- I just love bump threads!)

@winniebee: Oh good! I also need to step on the scale and see if I've gained any weight yet. I'm carrying so differently this time.
@pregnantbee: I need to check out the consignment stores around here. I hate going to Once Upon a Child but I might have to suck it up. There is a Clothes Mentor and a couple of upscale consignment shops in the ritzy neighborhood I live near, so I will look there too.

@avivoca: Good idea. Buying maternity for $$ is so annoying. Old Navy also has some pretty good sales, but you'll have to buy mostly online, and the sizing is so hit-or-miss.

@winniebee: aww thanks! It had carpet when we moved in and we finally ripped it out and put the tile in last year and refinished the cabinets. It made a huge difference!
