Oh my gosh you guys, I think I'm going to die. My insomnia was SO bad last night! I woke up at 1:00 and didn't get back to sleep until after 5:00. Somehow, I'm going to have to function for half a day at work.

@FaithFertility: Oh no!!! Let us know how the ultrasound goes though!!
@avivoca: Ugh. Pregnancy insomnia is just cruel.

We're back from our u/s (7 weeks 2 days) and as many of you guessed...IT'S TWINS!!! We were able to see both heartbeats clearly, though baby B is measuring quite a bit smaller than A. Baby A measuring at 7 weeks and baby B was 5 weeks and a day or two. Dr said he wouldn't speculate but to be mentally prepared for possible vanishing twin. So while we're super excited, and insanely overwhelmed!!!!!!, we're cautiously optimistic! I think my words were OH F%#K when he said, oh here's another heartbeat!
*wish our u/s pics were clearer! We saw it clearer in person.

@artsyfartsy: Are you feeling better today? Have you called your doctor?

@waiting4you: OMG!!! I hope little B catches up!
@avivoca: Fever is gone this morning. Called my doc and they said since the fever was never too high and now it's gone I should be good. Just to take care of myself. Rest, fluids, etc. My throat is really swollen and I have a headache but my body aches are gone. My back and hips are still hurting though but I've found a way to prop myself up with about 100 pillows that eases the pain. Haha. They chalked my back and hip pain up to typical first tri stuff, especially since I had it with T. Although with him, resting made it better. Now resting is when it hurts the worst.
Overall I feel a little better but still crappy.
DH is taking T to his appointment right now. Still bummed I'm missing it but hes bringing me my favorite food on his way home and is going to take over and let me rest. Couldn't ask for a better husband.

@waiting4you: Ohhhhh yay! Double congrats! Praying baby B is just a tiny bean for now!
@avivoca: Sorry about your sleep!
@winniebee: I want to ask aboirt unison! My sleep is awful, even when G STTN! Were you OK if you had to wake MOTN for T?!

Here is our baby bean! So tiny
Due Date 10/10!!
I guess I counted LMP wrong by a few days!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: I take 1/2 tablet about 30 minutes before bed. OB approved. I was fine if I had to get up MOTN -- and it made it much easier for me to go back to sleep.

Yay! Love seeing all the little beans!
@winniebee: I keep forgetting to pick up some unisom. I haven't slept in days.

@FaithFertility: Wow, looks like your jelly bean is a few days ahead hey? Super cute!
@waiting4you: Come on, baby B!
I can't stop looking at our U/S picture. A heart beat! I'm so happy. Still anxious, but happy.

@jaguar: your u/s looks great!! And so clear!! Hopefully you can have your nerves calmed for a few days with this great report (and heartbeat!).

@winniebee: I truly need it! That is my biggest issue is waking MOTN even if it is not G I have so much trouble going back to bed! Thanks!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@jaguar: GA based on LMP says 7weeks 2 days
She said baby measured at 7 weeks 4 days so she said it's 10/10 due date based on LMP!

Does anyone have any feelings about the sex? This pregnancy is so different from my last and I've had a lot of dreams about it being a boy, so I'm going with boy.
persimmon / 1132 posts
@avivoca: I had a baby boy dream the other night! I was so surprised because in my daytime thoughts, "she's" a girl.
So who knows!
watermelon / 14467 posts
@Amorini: Same here! All my daytime thoughts are girl but my dreams are boy. If it's girl I will be very surprised. I absolutely LOVE our girl name too, so if it's a boy, I'll mourn the loss of the name

Does anyone have symptoms that come and go? One day I'll be tired, the next day have energy... one day I'll have a back ache, the next it's gone.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@avivoca: My gut feeling is boy! I call the baby "he" all the time but it may just be subconscious from having a boy already. So far my pregnancy seems different though so I'm wondering if it's a girl. DH calls the baby "she". Haha We'll be thrilled either way.

@jaguar: I do! Some days, I feel fantastic, others I feel like garbage. Mostly I feel like garbage.
kiwi / 657 posts
My first two pregnancies were very different and they are both girls, so I put very little stock in the symptom/sex correlation.
@jaguar: Mine certainly come and go in surges.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@avivoca: I dream girl a lot, and kind of feel it's a girl!
But I'd be stoked for a baby boy too!
@jaguar: Ohhh yes. I puked yesterday and today I feel fine so far

No feelings either way on girls/boys. While I wanted a girl only because my husbands sister just had a boy (and there was some family tension about us being married for years and having all this trouble with IF and his sis dated this guy for a few weeks and BAM, pregnant...with the first grandchild of the family. Husband and I were CRUSHED to say the least, but we've all since moved on.) Therefore having a girl would at least mean we had the first granddaughter in the family. But honestly I don't care either way and never grew up hoping to have one or the other. If baby b stays strong and we end up with twins, I'd love for them to be boy/girl since this will 99% be our only children and would be nice to experience one of each.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@jaguar: my last pregnancy was like that! Also, I only just started feeling symptoms - not quite 5 weeks.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I'm not really letting myself think of the sex yet. Just day to day right now. I have 2 boys, but timing with ovulation on this one would indicate girl.
apricot / 276 posts
Ugh, why do I never get notifications for this board?
@artsyfartsy: Thanks for keeping track of everyone's due date! Mine actually changed to Oct 9.
@avivoca: My mom thinks it's a girl cause I'm so sick and I made her so sick. Lol. I've always wanted a girl with my husband because he already has a son. And last time I was pregnant I REALLY wanted it to be a girl, to the point where I almost felt like I'd be disappointed if it were a boy. I miscarried, but they did find out that it was a girl. This time I actually really want a boy, and I haven't felt that way in years. So that kind of makes me think it's a boy. Lol. But I'll be happy either way.
@jaguar: Every day is different for me. Yesterday I was sick all day. Today I'm fine. Some nights I can't fall asleep and wake up multiple times, others I sleep for 15 hours straight. It's annoying. Lol
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@KrzyRiver: I'll change it!
So I keep thinking I'm hungry and then when I walk into the kitchen I can't stomach the thought of cooking or eating anything. Food is not appealing at all and what I do manage to eat doesn't taste right! Ugh.
Lots of nausea but no throwing up yet. I know 6 weeks is the magic number so we'll see on MS.

Hey, friends. I'm late to the party, but I'm taking the plunge and joining. My main worry is missed miscarriage--I had one before DD, and it was really, really rough. The first trimester is really hard for me because the usual things (no cramping! no bleeding!) don't help me relax after a MMC. Anyway, here I am! Praying for the best and so excited for you guys, too!
Location: Virginia
EDD: I'm guessing October 26th. Still nursing my daughter so cycles are wacky.
How far along: 5w 3d, if my calculations are right.
First child? Nope. #2! DD and this baby will be 22 months apart.
First doctor appointment: Had one yesterday, but I just peed on a stick and talked to my doc.
I have an ultrasound scheduled for March 21st.
Any symptoms so far? Just tired, mostly. Nausea and back pain on and off.
Who have you told? DH, my doctor, my midwife, and one of my best friends. We weren't planning tell anyone until our US, but last night she told me SHE'S pregnant so I spilled the beans.
We're due a week apart.
