@mrscobee: not going to lie, I'm terrified. The holidays have really thrown off my daughter's sleep schedule. It's pretty intimidating to know we've signed up for 2 under 2!!

@mrsrugbee: Yes! It seems unreal still
@mrscobee: My first appointment is just a confirmation one too but it's not until the 12th! I'll be two days shy of 7 weeks then....jealous of yours coming up so soon. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I called today and my first appointment is Feb 23 so it can always be worse.
clementine / 903 posts
@jenm: Yes, I guess I was lucky to get in that soon! I think I am just meeting with the nurse practitioner, and then after they confirm, they will schedule a first ultrasound with the doc! I will keep you all posted! I am sooooo nervous! I am kind of (read majorly) a worrier when it comes to health stuff, so not sure how I am going to get through these first few weeks LOL!
@mrsrugbee: Wow - February 23! That is crazy! The plus side will be that you will probably find out a lot at that appointment, right? Like ultrasounds, etc.? That would kill me to wait that long, but I can see potential positives too! Like I think the part about doing multiple betas starting the day you POAS sounds nerve wracking. Not sure if I will do those or not at my appointment...
apricot / 347 posts
@mrscobee: the midwives only do one anatomy scan at 20 weeks since I don't need a dating ultrasound. NT scans aren't covered unless we're high risk here. My family Dr could do betas but she was pretty annoyed when I went in for my last two pregnancies (miscarried before my daughter) so I'm just going to go with the flow.
clementine / 903 posts
@mrsrugbee: I see... Sometimes I wonder if less doctor visits would ease my nerves. I mean, regardless of beta results, what is going to happen will happen, so in some ways I like the "go with the flow mentality" Technically, I will be monitored as high risk, so I think I will be dealing with more monitoring than the average person, but I knew this going in - LOVELY!

@mrsrugbee: Oh gosh I'm sorry. No complaining about my 1/12 appointment then!
@mrscobee: I'm an anxious person so I can totally relate. I'm horrible at waiting on anything and the fact that I can't (or shouldn't) tell anyone and everyone about our news is killing me slowly. Ha!

Welcome all you new sept mamas!! wow some of you have appointments so soon- jealous! I am anxiously awaiting jan 23rd, but hoping the times goes by quickly- which shouldn't be too difficult between working and chasing around my crazy 2 year old

@NovBaby1112: It'll be here before you know it! Congrats on baby number 2!
@ehh5000: I just read where you found out yesterday! Wow, let it sink in huh? Haha, it's not like I've known much longer but it seems like everyday it gets more real.
Do we have anyone that has been TTC for a while in the group? I went off birth control in October and had no clue it would happen so soon but I'm happy nonetheless.

@jenm: I went off the pill in February, started trying in August, and got pregnant 5th month TTC. Felt like it took forever, but 5 months isn't too long in grand scheme of things...

@mrscobee: I think any time spent TTC is too long. It's hard being patient!

@jenm: we started trying in August but then took a few months off due to new job. Tried a bit in November and then last month as well, when I got my BFP.
Just went to the restroom and saw brown blood that can't be good, right?

@NovBaby1112: I'm new to this pregnancy thing so I can't give too much advice but I think I remember hearing that a little spotting is ok/normal. Sorry I'm no help but I'll be sending good thoughts your way!
cherry / 114 posts
@NovBaby1112: I spotted several times during the first trimester with DS. Everything was perfectly fine and he turned out wonderfully normal The first time it happened around 6.5 weeks and I freaked and they did an US and found I just had cystic blood pockets in my uterus. Nothing to cause concern. As long as it's not bright red and there's no horrible cramping you should be fine

@NovBaby1112: sending positive thoughts your way! praying this is just normal part of pregnancy for you!
@SunnyFarmMama: @babycanuck: welcome! Glad to have you both here!!

@jenm: @mrscobee: @SunnyFarmMama: thanks ladies! It's stopped now, so we'll see. I called my new OB and they said it was very normal and that brown is probably old blood. Nothing I can do really but wait...
@babycanuck: welcome!!!

@jenm: This was my second postpartum cycle. I really wasn't expecting to conceive cause my last cycle LP was way too short to succeed! SURPRISE!
@SunnyFarmMama: @babycanuck: Welcome, welcome!
@NovBaby1112: As long as its brown, that's old blood so it could be implantation spotting that finally trickling its way through. If it turns red and increases in volume, that would be a bad sign. My miscarriage started with 3ish days of increasing pink mucus before the floodgates opened. No cramping or anything... Sending sticky baby dust your way.

@ehh5000: welcome - I'm another pittsburgh mama & had my second baby last September. Congrats!

@mrsrugbee: thank you! How are you doing? I followed your last pregnancy so I'm thrilled to see you in my due date month!
apricot / 347 posts
@SunnyFarmMama: Really?! I didn't know I was popular! Is it cause of my poopy birth story? lol!
I'm doing really well - at home taking care of Little Rugbee. I think she's so fantastic. She's at an age where she just started answering yes-no questions and she understands certain instructions. I could talk about it all day! She helps me unload the dishwasher, uses the potty with help (elimination communication). Its seriously amazing how much she's changed.
This time around I'm pretty excited about potentially getting that waterbirth I had wanted with #1! Here's hoping, right?
cherry / 114 posts
@mrsrugbee: yes I distinctly remember your birth story and honestly I was terrified of having DS after but it all worked out. Didn't poop but did let out a massive fart as soon as he was out. I was horribly constipated and gassy my whole pregnancy so I pray this one isn't like that. How old will your DD be when #2 arrives? Also if you don't mind me asking, how far along were you when you MC?
apricot / 347 posts
@SunnyFarmMama: my mini will be 19 mo next September. I was excited to space them close together but now the more I read the scarier it is! Will we ever sleep again?
My miscarriage was pretty much a bad start. I didn't get a + til 16dpo, hcg weren't going up and was bleeding by 24 dpo. I got pregnant immediately after with my first though so I feel like it had a happy ending.
cherry / 114 posts
Ok I know why I remember you now, I think you were in my due date month with your MC I believe. Dec. 2013? My DS will be 21mths when #2 will arrive so I'm nervous and excited. Need to get him around some babies to practice

@SunnyFarmMama: yeah, I was due Friday December 13, 2013. What a bad omen, eh? Little Rugger came January 31 2014.
