@Ocean girl: Hahaha - love that you are peeing on sticks still! I have one weekly estimator left and I plan on using it Sunday just to see if the week changed
Also, cracking up that your hubby wants twins! I am having a weird feeling that it's a possibility - I think because I know too many people with twins right now! Can't wait for our first U/S next Monday to find out!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody!
@CarrieLouWho: I did the exact same thing this morning with my last CB weeks estimator - it was nice to see the week change!
In other news, the fatigue has hit me HARD this week. Although that could partially be from quitting caffeine...I never really drank that much before, but I felt like it would be more stressful to try and keep track of my intake than to just quit altogether. Anyone else struggling with this?
persimmon / 1408 posts
@elljay: The fatigue is hitting me too! I took a nap on Saturday when my DD did - 3 hours later I finally woke up!!! It was nice and much needed.
I've cut back my caffeine quite a bit while TTC, so that was a big help. Coffee has been hard to quit - except for this week, I haven't wanted it at all! But I had done so well giving up diet soda, and now that's all I want. UGH! I've been trying to satisfy the need for bubbles with sparkling water and that's been a help.
Quitting caffeine is harrrrrrrrd!!!

I feel nervous because I do not have strong symptoms - just some tender breasts, really. I am tired, but this could also be from the cold I have since mid of december.
On the other hand, I am grateful for no symptoms, as I have to wrap up my project at work and move my whole household to finally be with hubby in another city...

So it is getting hard to keep track of everyone, and I imagine that it will only get harder as more ladies join us, so I put this together... Let me know if I missed anyone or if any of the dates need to change!

@busylizzy111: I feel just like you do, and it makes me a little nervous too! Hopefully we are just some lucky ladies who don't / won't get horrible symptoms!

@busylizzy111: I feel like this too. Nervous that I don't feel much yet, but grateful because I have a lot going on. We're trying to sell our house so we can move halfway across the country!
@mrscobee: Thanks for putting this together! Very helpful!

@mrscobee: thanks for putting the list together!
My most noticeable symptom for the past 2 days has been bloat. It's so. bad. I'm also noticing cramping, mostly in the evenings. I know cramping isn't uncommon at all and is indicative of all the body changes. Hard not to worry about it though...
coffee bean / 39 posts
Question for all- are you having your spouse go to your first prenatal appointment?
clementine / 903 posts
@shortiecake: I have some of the same cramping. I think as long as it isn't too painful it is okay.
@Runnergirl: I had my husband go to my confirmation of pregnancy appointment, and I don't know that it was necessary he be there, but it was really nice for him to hear the plan. Plus, he wanted to be there, so I thought, what the heck?! He is also coming to my next appointment with me (first ultrasound, heartbeat, etc.)
grape / 94 posts
@mrscobee: glad to know i'm not alone! hopefully it gets better soon...
@Runnergirl: at this point i'm not planning for him to go. But I do believe they will do an U/S (i'll be 6w6d) so I might be bummed if he misses that...i'll leave it up to him. What's your plan?
cherry / 231 posts
@Runnergirl: I'm not sure yet. I need to call and ask if they allow children. If they do then yes. If not, he'll stay home with DD. He went to almost every appointment last time around and would to do that again if he can.

@Runnergirl: Thanks for asking this, I was actually just wondering the same thing. My first appointment isn't until 9 weeks and they're definitely doing an ultrasound, so I was assuming he would come.

@mrscobee: Thanks for compiling all the dates - super helpful!
@Runnergirl: I went to the very first appointment to confirm the pregnancy by myself. DH is coming to the first u/s though (Monday!).
Now you girls have me worried that I'm feeling too many symptoms. Oh well - I think they're really supposed to hit harder around 6-8 weeks.

Well ladies I won't be staying. I'm in the hospital because of very strong and sharp pain in my right abdomen area and come to find out this pregnancy is ectopic. They are about to admit me and give me some meds to try and pass it. I did get to see the baby and it was growing on point just in the wrong place. Good luck to the rest of you ladies.

I just took the last pregnancy test I had- a clearblue digital with week estimator. So relieved to see the 3+ pop up! I am very anxious as I had my m/c around this time.
On other news, I have an appointment with a midwife next Friday. Hope I like her!

Hi Ladies! It looks like I get to join in the fun!
Location: NC
EDD: September 11th
How far along: 6 weeks
First child? No I have a 2 1/2 year old bundle of energy
First doctor appointment: Blood test on Monday to confirm
Any symptoms so far? None! This has completely taken me by surprise! I had tons of symptoms with my first.
Who have you told? Just DH and a friend at work (she convinced me to test!)
This whole pregnancy is a surprise. We were going to TTC next month, but expected a long journey. It took 15 months with our first, I was definitely not expecting to get pregnant the first month off bc. I was waiting for my period and had not idea I could be pregnant. No symptoms or anything out of the ordinary.

@babynumber1: Welcome and congrats!! Wow, that is so crazy that it happened by surprise when it took 15 months the first time. I have one friend that took 12 months the first time and then one month and another acquaintance that took like 2 years the first time and then one month, so I guess you never know?! We are glad to have you here!!

@babynumber1: Congrats! I love seeing NC people on these boards - I'm originally from Greensboro and I miss the South! (currently in freezing cold Chicago)
persimmon / 1396 posts
@elljay: I actually live in Greensboro!
@Ocean girl: @elljay: @mrscobee: @somebunny: Thanks Ladies. This pregnancy has already been different than the first. I have zero symptoms and last time I had them all! Its defiantly throwing me off.

So I went in to the doctor on Wednesday for confirmation and all that good stuff and I have an ultrasound scheduled for next week.
I had to go back in this morning and get another vial of blood drawn since my betas were low for the initial EDD, but I think that's because my cycle is slightly long, so it's probably off by four or five days. The phlebotomist recognized me immediately because I have horrendously difficult veins to find (inherited from my mother) and have to have blood drawn from the back of my hand instead.
We're planning to tell my in laws this weekend. DH is their only child, so this would be their first grandkid.

@babynumber1: I am still in disbelief about this pregnancy too! We took 7 months to get a BFP with DD and weren't really trying too hard in December, so I was shocked when I got my BFP last week! Symptoms have just started tho, but they are different than last time! I guess every pregnancy really is different!

Hi ladies. I'm so excited to finally be joining one of these boards. It's taken us 15 months to get here and I just found out 3 days ago so it still feels surreal (we've been on holiday and I totally lost track of the time of month).
Location: New Zealand
EDD: 16 September
How far along: 5 weeks
First child? Yes
First doctor appointment: In 2 weeks time
Any symptoms so far? I'm peeing a lot. I didn't expect it to start so early.
Who have you told? Our parents. There is no way we could keep this a secret from them. They know how much we have wanted this baby and how long we have been trying, so it's good to have their support.
