@Smurfette: What??! How can they expect every kid to make every class? Things come up. You prepaid for all of them though and they don't give you your money back or anything?

@Mrs. High Heels: I know, right! When you sign up and pay, it clearly says no make up classes. I might try and find another place to start in Jan, cause you know she will be sick then. It is winter.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@Smurfette: That's ridiculous! Hope you're able to find another place that does honor classes you PAID for.

@Smurfette: wow it's crazy they don't have make up classes! I'm really glad our provider allows to make up for missed classes. Gymnastics sounds like so much fun! I bet R will love it.
@QueensBee: sleep yesterday was more of the same. He woke up around 11pm/12am and refused to go back to sleep in his bed. So he slept with us again. We had some random cry outs all through out the night so no idea what is bothering him. I cannot imagine it's the 2 yr molars already.

@Mrs. High Heels: @Pumuckl: @cheert16: I think it is cause it is offered once, maybe twice a week, for a set number of weeks. Then take a couple weeks off and start the next session. It is offered at a church pool, but another company runs the classes. There is a max of 8 kids/parents for each class.

@Smurfette: I am not TTC or pregnant! Gymnastics sounds fun. No make ups sucks though. I am looking forward to moving since the new area has a community centre with dance classes etc. I think she can start dance at 2. We currently go to Gymboree and she loves it!
@Mrs. High Heels: Thanks for reminding me I need to organise H's swimming lessons.

So we never got any professional photos taken of Xander because I like to pretend I know what I'm doing, when I don't, but I recently learned more about editing newborn photos, so I went back and tried it out on an old photo of Xander. I really like the result, I just wish I had taken more photos of him as a baby! Original Photo (with my amateur edits) and then Latest Photo:

@Adira: Aghh he was so little and cute!!! (still cute.. but.. you know what I mean.) - great edits!

@Adira: Nice job. I never realized how much editing is done on newborn pics.

@Adira: What a cutie! You did a great job, he looks radiant in the edited photo! (but super cute in both!)

@QueensBee: Last night was ok. He woke up at 1am, I thought it was morning time and couldn't figure out why I was so tired until I took another look at the clock!
@Smurfette: I'm not pregnant or TTC either. We haven't quite made the final decision on whether or not we are having a second. Gymnastics will be fun! I can't believe these toddlers are getting old enough for classes. We are going to start swim lessons this winter.
@Adira: That looks great! I can't do anything when it comes to editing phots.
I think Isaac has a lovey now and it is his sippy cup of water. He likes having it in his crib and drinks some in the night but also sleeps holding it. Crazy boy!

@Smurfette: @Mrs. High Heels: @Corduroy: @QueensBee: @cheert16: @ALV91711: Thanks ladies!! Although I can't take too much credit. I was just following a tutorial.

@ALV91711: That's so funny how attached Isaac has become to his sippy cup of water!!! So cute though!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@ALV91711: Ha, R did that one night too. DH and I say all the time her sippy is her comfort object. She carries it with her everywhere.
Also tantrums at 6 in the morning are even more annoying then at 6 at night.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@Smurfette: Word on the tantrums! B started furiously screaming at 4:30am today!!! Crazy kid...
nectarine / 2631 posts
@Smurfette: @Pumuckl: Tantrums are the worst.... B now throws his whole body on the floor and screams... its awesome!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Pumuckl: @cheert16: Oh yeah R threw a fit when I used the Nose Frida on her. So I tried rocking her, she is so overtired from coughing waking her up early all week, and she wiggled her way to the floor. Then preceded to roll and slide all over her room. I eventually just left the room. She could see me in the kitchen. I gave her a couple mins and then asked her if she wanted her milk. She calmed down some and then I picked her up. Drama lama.

@Pumuckl: @cheert16: @Smurfette: I hear you ladies on tantrums. I have nooooo idea what was up with Xander last night, but he was just throwing one tantrum after another. It was pouring so we weren't going for a walk. Tantrum. I wouldn't let him play with the toilet paper. Tantrum. I told him to put Dada's shoes back in the closet (because we weren't going for a walk). Tantrum. I told him he couldn't have more crackers. Tantrum. All with the throwing himself to the ground and rolling around crying!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I felt really bad, DH called to face time right after I took the toothpaste tub away from R. She wouldn't even look at him. She usually waves and "talks" to him, blows kisses, nope, just screamed the whole time with big fat tears. She didn't even want a story, so I just put her in the crib.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Aww, that sucks. But it happens. They're toddlers. Sucks for your DH though since he's away during the week.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I know I felt so bad. I hated it too cause I missed my cuddle time.

@Smurfette: @Adira: So sorry you ladies had rough nights/evenings too. At least we know we're not alone - right?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: @Pumuckl: haha, yeah, it helps that we're ALL going through this!

I'm adding a new word to Xander's repertoire: "La-Na" which means Lawn Mower (of course, duh)! Also, he said "Out-ta" (Outside) today for the first time! But he only said it once, so I'm not really counting it yet.
Also, we had a GOOD night tonight, thankfully! How'd everyone else's LO do? I think what helped was that we spent a good 45 minutes playing outside after dinner. We went for a walk and then he just played in the driveway, splashing in puddles and running around with his soccer ball. Then we came in and cleaned him up and I put him to bed.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: cute! R has been fun tonight, ate great. She is sitting next to me eating her post bath animal cracker. I just hope she sleeps in later then 530 tomorrow. Been a long week.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Glad your night is going well too! Hopefully she sleeps well for you! Is your husband home now too?
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: yep! He usually always gets home sometime Thursday night. He got home at 945 last night and then worked till 3.
Poor guy!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: 3 in the morning??? That's rough!! But at least he's here for the weekend!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Finally got a decent picture of Xander's eye color. Pardon the totally dirty shirt.
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: Lawn mower, that is so cute! Isaac went down easy tonight after some Motrin, his gum just looks horrible, wish this molar would come in.
Last night he went down good then woke up 10 min later and was screaming, not even crying. After about 35 min he started yelling mama over and over. So heartbreaking.
@Smurfette: I hope for your sake that R sleeps in for you. Early wake ups are rough. I wish they knew it was the weekend and that they should sleep longer!
DH is away for tonight, so I really hope we have a good sleep.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@ALV91711: I'm just thankful that Xander doesn't cry out for me when he wakes up upset. He either just cries or cries for Dada (He's on a no saying Mama strike). I think it would break my heart if he was crying my name! Hope tonight goes better for Isaac than last!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: That was the first time he had done that, I wish he had called for his dad, that would be less hearbreaking.
Xanders eyes look like they are a dark grey?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@ALV91711: That's what I'm thinking - that they're grey! I always assumed he would just have brown eyes since that's what I have, but so far, nope!!
I spoke too soon about our easy night. Xander's been up and screaming for the past 15 minutes. I gave him some motrin, but he's mad I left the room after. I hope he falls back asleep...
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@Smurfette: J's been waking up at 5:30 am all week too!! This morning, it was because he had a massive poop. But that still doesn't explain the other days. He's only made it to 7 am like twice in his life... I'd be so happy if he could just sleep til 7. It's usually 6-6:30 most days though.
@Adira: Such a cool eye color - grayish! Do you think it'll stay that way?
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: I hope he fell back asleep and the rest of your night is good. That would be really cool if his eyes stayed that colour. So far Isaac's are still dark blue and chances are they will stay since we both have blue eyes.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: I wouldn't have thought so! I have brown eyes and so does all my family and I thought brown was dominant, so I always assumed his eyes would be brown or eventually turn brown. I've heard they can continue changing up to 3 years, so I'm just waiting to see!! I'd LOVE for them to stay this color though - so pretty!!
@ALV91711: It took about 40 minutes, but he eventually fell back asleep! He woke up again at 5:15 this morning, but was able to fall back asleep. And then up for the day at 6:15!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
Blah, 515 this morning but then she laid back down till 6, and at 630 we had to go get her. I don't know what is going on. She fell asleep at 10 in the car on the way to the park. Barely could keep her eyes open on the way home from lunch, with me reading to her in the back to keep her up. Hopefully she takes a good nap now!
